This studio from Paul is great! He has two adjoining studio's, one with frontal ocean view and another with part ocean view and part view of the city. I stayed in the second, with a balcony. The view is incredible. On the 15'th floor, you can see for miles over the beach, ocean and part of Miami Beach. Wow. The studio contains two double beds. Big tv. Small bathroom (old art deco). No kitchen but a big fridge, microwave and enough plates and cutlery and coffe machine. You can use the beautiful Shelborne pool, have a free bed on the beach with free towel. And the wonderful hottub of the Shelborne. If you walk past the pool you go out to the beach. Can not beat the location. Also close to wonderful Lincoln Road, with great diners and shops.
While I was there, there was a film crew in the hotel filming for a new British film called Plastic. Only in Miami can you sit on the beach or near the pool and be surrounded by film starts, camera crews and paparazzi. So much fun to watch up close!
Communication with the owner of the appartment Paul was excellent.

We loved the view from out room, the wine left for us, and the location of the rental. The price we payed was great. Loved the pool and the environment. Paul was easy to work with and if I ever visit SoBe again, Paul will be first on my list! Only issue we had was with the shower which the water temp was never consistant. Not pauls fault but more of a hotel plumbing issue.

We've stayed at the Shelborne private accommodation over a week. The stay was very pleasant. 15th floor with stunning ocean view, we could not be happier.
Hotel staff was always friendly and approachable,even though we weren't hotel's guests. Receptionist and concierge were always happy to help [;-)]
Entering the room, it was clean and quiet, The bathroom was clean. The room had a great view facing the ocean, no balcony tho. The room is pretty small but really comfortable,with a huge king size bed.We were very happy with the room. The location of the accommodation couldn't have been better since we had walking distance to all the bars and sidewalk cafes on Collins av & Lincoln Road.
Paul(landlord) is very nice and reliable person. Every time we emailed him regarding accommodation he replied instantly without any delays.I would highly recommend Paul Terrell and his accommodation. we will definitely be in touch with Paul next year!! -

One can write a whole review on the view of the beach/ocean/swimming pools from this apartment.
It is situated in Collins avenue, right on the beach in the Shelborne hotel. It offers all the amenities one needs, like free wireless internet, TV, fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer and microwave.
The bathroom has a bath/shower combo and there was enough drawers and hanging space for one's clothing.
Paul leaves one a bottle of wine on arrival which is a nice touch. The hotel is right in the heart of South Beach, close to Lincoln avenue and Ocean Drive. There are two Walgreens stores close by, as well as liquor stores, car rental agencies (avoid the avis though), touring agencies, clothing stores, etc. within walking distance from the hotel.
We did not really make use of the hotel's amenities as we spent most of our time at the beach/pool, but the restaurants/bars looked pleasant. It was quiet and one could enjoy a good night's sleep.
This apartment was excellent when taking into account the booking process, location, view and especially the price. Will definetely recommend it to a friend and visit again. -

Paul's apartment was in an amazing location for the Winter Music Conference and for the pool parties at The Shelborne. The ocean view balcony overlooked the pool where the parties were happening and had great views of the beach. Inside, the apartment is fine, not a 5 star set up but perfect for what we were after. Paul was also very accomodating with meeting us at the apartment after we were delayed in customs.

I booked a last minute trip to one of my favorite spots to visit, South Beach, for the sole purpose of relaxation. I needed a vacation badly, but did not have a place to stay. I accidently came upon Paul's rental while surfing on trip advisor for a place that met my needs...Beach, Balcony and Oceanview at a good value. (hard to do when booking last minute in SoBe!). This condo met all of my needs and then some.
Located at the Shelbourne Hotel/Condo property, the unit is a bit older, but had a great view to die for, a large balcony and comfortable space. The hotel itself was at the tail end of an extensive renovation, and it looked very updated and modern. We loved the pool and easy beach access. The weather was a bit cooler and cloudier than we wanted, and the water was colder than usual, but we still enjoyed our time away.
We had a minor plumbing problem which was addressed quickly when we contacted Paul. We also loved the complimentary bottle of wine that he leaves for you. Overall, we were quite satisfied with our stay, and we will definitely have this spot on the top of our list the next time we stay in South Beach. -

My friends and I stayed in this condo for 8 days. Once we walked in, we were welcomed with the bottle of wine and of course the beautiful oceanview as promised. It was amazing! Because we stayed during Memorial day weekend, I could'nt have asked for a better location. It wasn't far from Ocean Dr. and the partylife. It was just perfect. The 25 cent bus was extrememly useful because the stop was only 2 blocks away. The condo was small but spacious. Very clean. A bit old fashion for my taste but no complaints at all. There were numerous times where the pool staff would ask what room number we were in and once it was all explained that we were part of the rental program it was smooth sailing. It did get a bit annoying when some of the employees kept telling us that we were not allowed to use the pool because we were not part of the hotel but it all got figured out in the end. *reminder to future people renting: You are not part of the hotel at all. The hotel has nothing to do with Paul's rental.* Other than that, it was great! My friends and I will definitely stay here again! =)

As a Condo Owners Guest you are entitled to all of the amenities the resort has to offer including the Gym and Pool with free pool towels daily poolside.. The property has instituted a new security program since the resort renovation and public access at the rear of the property for the Taco Bar so Condo Owners Guests are now pre-registered with hotel security and placed on their list.. This has eliminated confusion as to who is allowed on the private areas of the hotel for all of the guests who belong..

We stayed for a week in May 2011, we wanted to have a low key break in a great location, just a short walk from the beach and from all that Miami Beach has to offer. The apartment is great for 2 people, has all the basics plus a great balcony and in a fantastic location. Excellent value for money and Paul was very reliable honest and accessible.Although it sleeps 4 it would be very cosy!! whaWever floats your boat!

Great place to stay in close proximity(2 blocks)to convention centre. Close to Lincoln Road Mall (great outdoor restaurents. $9.00 Taxi to far end of South Beach , Ocean Drive and relaxing walk and dinner back. Small issue from previous tennant, and owner was right on top of it. Great Value. Valet parking expensive in area don't bother with car. Walk or cab it. Ocean Drive fabulous restarents and bars. Will stay again.

I have stayed at a couple hotels in South Beach and the value for this unit can't be beat! The location is perfect, no need for a car, it's right on the ocean, and the balcony tops it off (5 person balcony might I add!). We needed a clean place to sleep, shower, and get ready for the daily activites outside, so this fit us exactly. We slept with the balcony door open each night and fell asleep to the stars. There is some construction going on, but it didn't interupt us one bit. The pool is fabolous as well, and the balcony looks down over the pool (and beach). This is not an obstructed view either, you see nothing but ocean! I can't say enough about this place, and I will definitely be back.

I went to South Beach with my friends May 19-25, 2010. It was a long-awaiting return after three years. I love South Beach, the weather, the people and the overall vibe just has a way of making reality melt away. Paul's condo at the Shelbourne was nothing short of a blissful experience.
Its not a 5-star resort...and the building is old (as most are in the art deco district in South Beach). The room itself is a great value for the price...everything works, the place was clean, the beds weren't the most comfortable but good enough...However...the View is amazing and priceless!!! The unit is Ocean Front - with views of the pool below and miles and miles of sandy beach front. We spent a lot of time on the balcony - sunsets and sunrises were goreous!
The location is great!!! Between the Shore Club and Delano which are two well known party spots as far as hotel lounges go...Lincoln Road is a block away. There is a liquor store half a block away (important...since we stocked up for our 5 day stay! Paul even included a complimentary bottle of wine too!) There is a Walgreens and CVS right on Licoln and Collins, so we also stocked up on snacks, bottled water and other stuff to snack on in between meals or take to the beach with us! Cab ride to the middle of Ocean Drive (by Mangoes/Cleavelander were about $10 - cheap...especially when we're were heels for our nights out). During the day, this was just a short 5-6 block walk...We easily walked down to Nikki Beach and back - stopping for drinks, lunch and shopping along the way.
The pool is very nice, hot tubs were nice...and the beach was about 20 steps beyond that!!! We had a great time...and will definitely stay there again when we return - hopefully it won't be another 3 years!

We went to Sobe for a wedding and chose to stay at Pauls condo for over half the price the rest of the wedding guests were paying at their hotels! The view was awesome! Definately worth every penny and then some. The room could have been updated a little but we would stay there again in a heartbeat. The other guest stayed at The National, The Catalina, and The Richmond we were not impressed with the rooms for what they paid. Definately stay here! Besides only one elevator working everything was great. Loved the wine: ) Thanks Paul!

The view is spectacular and the beds big and comfortable enough for 2. The
only complaint is the musty smell that the room seems to hold but since the
weather was so great I just kept the door open. I absolutely got the best deal
on the hotel and was free to spend my money elsewhere. I hope to use Paul's

I stayed in the condo for 8 nights during the Miami Boat show. It's a perfect location for working at the convention center, just a short 2 block walk. The view from the Ocean front room is great. You have all the basics for a comfortable stay at a good price. When I got there I found the refrigerator wasn't getting very cold, the owner Paul was there the very next day and replaced it. Can't beat that for service! Hopefully I'll be back...

You will not find a better value, location and
view from the room's balcony!
Only drawbacks that we experienced were that we
had a chilly series of days in Miami and the room
did not have a heating system...so we contacted
the owner and he allowed us to buy a space
heater, which sufficed.
Otherwise, the room was comfortable enough, albeit
not luxurious, just basic amenities....but, a
great bang for the buck.
Great pool, safe hotel, steps to beach...what more
could you ask for? We loved the stay there.

The building is a hotel/condo.In renting from the condo viewpoint,,, you get no consideration from building employees.As for the unit- it needs to be brought out the 70's and updated.From bedsheets to tv and all decore and carpet.It is extremely primative and needs a facelift.You get what you pay for... no amentities.It needs some TLC and a decorator.

The Shelborne Ocean Beach Resort is a condo/hotel and there is competition in renting units between hotel and condo owners which is usually benificial for the guests because condo owners like myself will add amentities over what the hotel offers in their rooms like the refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, toaster, blender and utensils as well as an iron and ironing board and hair dryer not to mention the LCD HDTV and cable connection that are all in my unit. Apparently the new Micro Fiber sheets were not appreciated and I see no mention of the welcome free bottle of wine that was consumed by the guest and his wife. I provided extra key cards, a free use of my floor safe and an extended late check out until 2:30PM at the inconvenience of my cleaning staff in have to turn the unit in 30 minutes for the next guest. The pictures in my posting tell the true story and speak for themselves.
The resort property went through a renovation in 2011 and New Air Handling Units have been installed in the unit and a new 32" HDTV Cable System with Free WIFI is now available. -

I spent a few nights at the Oceanfront Studio on Beach managed by Paul. I highly recommend this rental. The location and view were out of this world! It is centrally located in South Beach near Municipal Parking and right on the beach. The unit has wrap around windows that look right out on the ocean. The Shelborne has a lovely pool, is very well maintained and has a very pleasant atmosphere. The unit itself is pleasant and very thoughtfully furnished with a fridge, coffeemaker, etc. Paul, the manager of the unit, was very responsive and communicative. I had great trust that he would take care of any issue that arose. This is one of the best lodging deals I've ever had. I plan on staying here whenever I vacation or pass through Miami.
