West Tofts is a detached, stone built cottage situated in on the edge of Mickleton near to Middleton-in-Teesdale on the Northern edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage has two double bedrooms (one with an ensuite), one twin room and an additional single bed making this cottage suitable for seven people. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped in a lovely quiet spot but within walking distance of the village. Shopping a little further away in Middleton-in-Teesdale. Ideal for a family holiday or a group adults to get together and relax.
This was our first holiday in Yorkshire and it won't be our last. The landscape is varied and beautiful, the people so friendly and there is so much of historical interest.
There is so much to do and see in this area and further afield, Barnard Castle, Richmond, Durham to Killhope Mine Museum to name but a few, theme/adventure parks, beautiful walks, a wealth of good restaurants - and plenty of places to get out of the rain!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back.

Great place for six of us to be all alone to do our own thing - we had deep snow but were able to walk to the village/restaurant Saturday night as planned ( it actually made it better) Walking from the door - easy reach of thing to see and do - great time had by all

The property and facilities at West Tofts were fully up to the star rating allocated. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped; the location was superb with easy driving access to nearby attractions and leisure activities. Local amenities were first class and within easy walking distance, a wider range of amenities were on hand within a short driving distance.
One minor inconvenience was the over-bath shower that failed to operate properly; no doubt this could have been rectified had we reported it to the owner. Overall an excellent property and one that we would stay at again. -

This was our second visit to West Tofts. The whole experience was absolutely wonderful. The sheer beauty and tranquility around the property remain totally unaltered, and despite one or two inclement days, the boys were able to get out and about into the fields and beyond exploring and playing.
Everything was provided for our needs, and the whole property was exceptionally clean on our arrival.
We will always be indebted to the owners for allowing us to use their property for a superb holiday. -

We and some friends stayed for one week. The cottage was perfect -plenty of space, peace and quiet and great facilities.
It was safe for the young children as all enclosed, and the owners kindly let them play in the field next door.
In a perfect spot, with great countryide and places to visit near by - we would definately return!
