I also stayed in this house with several friends and second what the previous renter said. Yes, accidents happen like a tree branch falling. That is understandable, yet probably preventable given how dead the branch was. However, when several people, 3 total, all contract a similar type of rash, all coming from different locations around the us, it is no accident. Doctors notes were submitted to management two days after we left. Photos of rash also included and this was not adequate for management to try and make us repeat customers. Simply put, I felt shoved aside by Wilgus. Email contact was also sporadic, untimely and did not answer all questions posed in said emails.
Although management had expressed "empathy" by saying sorry, they did not seem to offer any recourse or attempt to remedy the situation. In addition, they even said because we did not file a complaint, we had no case. While I understand there needs to be process, we simply could not have filed a complaint because the rash appeared a day after we were gone. How could 3 people from all over the us (Va, Ca and CO) all happen to get the same thing upon returning to each state?

This property was inspected immediately and there were no signs of bed bugs. The guests prior to this guest were contacted and the guests after this guest were contacted. No one had seen any evidence of bed bugs, nor did they have rashes or bites. This complaint of bed bugs was not received until after the guests left. They stayed in the property for the entire week and then asked for a full refund. Had they called and voiced concern while they were there, or asked to have someone inspect the property, or state it was uninhabitable and ask to be moved, we could have addressed this issue in a timely fashion. It is not our policy to give a full refund to anyone who stayed the entire vacation without any complaints to our office.

Several people who stayed in the house got bedbugs, a huge tree branch fell from way up high and did over $1000 of damage to my car, could have been a huge safety hazard if it had been a person. Besides that the place was nice and would have been a great value.

This house has been occupied the entire season. It has been cleaned and inspected weekly. There is no evidence of bedbugs whatsoever. No one prior to this week or after this week reported any type of bites.
We are very sorry to learn of your rashes/bites, but we do not believe they originated in this property. -

This is a terrific house for a family with kids. Six bunk beds! Large porch for relaxing with plenty of room for toys and gear. Nicely renovated kitchen, huge dining table. Everything you need for a carefree vacation. This is our second stay in the house. Walk to beach and stores. This is not a luxurious place but very functional, comfortable and easy to keep clean. After a day in the sun it is nice to come to this cottage in the shade. We requested a small repair and a Wilgus handyman was there the next day.

The pictures of this home just do not give it justice! It's a fun set up and there is more room here than you think. We had everything we needed and the beach was just a short walk away! Everyone we came in contact with was wonderful and very helpful. Great place for families. We will be returning next year!

Very nice house, would choose it again.
All needs were anticipated, but please consider replacing the 2nd BR double bed mattress. The remodeling work was well done. -

Key pick up was easy. The house was clean and obviously a well kept family home. Having the private beach is amazing! Middlesex is the least crowded beach for 10 miles in either direction.
Bring your own umbrella and beach chair. -

I have stayed at this property a number of tmes. It is great for a family with some kids and/or guests. The price is reasonable and the beach (Middlesex Beach) is absolutely wonderful.
