A few mintues walk from the 1st beach of Newport, Easton's Beach, this 3500 square foot ocean view home offers 3 levels of relaxing outdoor spaces to choose from: porch, deck or patio.(3rd floor, Master bdrm Suite w/ bath will be offer beginning May 2011). A large back yard surrounded by tall privets gives privacy and 1 1/2 acre park in front of house is great advantage for families to enjoy frisbee, kites, pitch balls,etc. The interior was renovated between 2004 & 2009 and decorated in New England beach & country style, with pine hardwood floors. Working with the owners prior to my arrival and once there was professional but also warm and friendly. The house was clean and well stocked with the necessary supplies. The house is roomy, has lots of windows with superb views. I loved sitting on the third floor balcony looking out on the ocean with my glass of wine nearly every evening. My other favorite place was the large and spacious front porch anytime of the day. Being from Texas sitting out during the day in September just does not happen!
The house is just a block from catching the bus that goes into Newport which is nice not to have to drive into town. The way to travel is to rent scooters (which are available)and see the entire town of Newport!
I loved the quaint feeling that enveloped me driving across the bridge to the island and it never left me. The thing I liked least was having to leave the island and return home. -

We had a perfect vacation at this lovely house with a view of the beach and the Newport Mansions!Every room is uniquely designed with beautiful antiques and soft linens. We enjoyed the sunset from the front porch (also from the upstairs balcony suite). Newport minutes away, perfect location for access to Newport's attractions.

We had a great stay in this beautiful Victorian home located minutes from the beach.
The house was in great condition and clean upon our arrival. We especially loved the
wrap around porch and the 2nd floor porch with views of the beach. We would highly
recommend this rental and would happily stay there again! -

I stayed in this home with a girlfriend for about a week and we had a wonderful time. The location is perfect. There's a beautiful view from the balconies upstairs of the beach area and the Cliff Walk. It was nice and quiet since the home sits back in a little cul de sac away from the more crowded neighborhoods. We had our coffee on the patio/balcony upstairs and would walk along the beach over to the Cliff Walk every morning. The shopping and restaurants are easily accessible by bus (if you don't have other transportation). Many of the tourists rent mopeds while there and this is a good place to learn to ride. Middletown and Newport have very slow speed limits and they are accustomed to dealing with "new bike riders".

Beautifully appointed rooms, wonderful furnishings, Very large home and yard. Large wraparound porch for watching sunsets.
Walk to beach and restaurants in 5 minutes
Owners left brochures and ideas for exploring Newport.. Everything was first class!
