The location of the apartment was great. The apartment needs some updating...couch very uncomfortable to sit in. They were to change our linens after the first week, it did not happen. We did not have any cold water in the one shower, therefore too hot for comfort. The washer is ok for undies, not for the towels.

Manager
Dear Arlene,
we’re sorry that you weren’t’ completely satisfied.
For staying of less than 20 days, change of linens is on request only; if you had asked, we would have provided you with an extra set.
We are sorry about the cold water. It is the first time that a client staying in this apartment complains about it, it might be a recent problem. Thank you for having let us know, it is a pity that you didn't inform us during your stay, or we would have promptly intervened.
We thank you for your comment which will help us improve our service and we hope to host you again in the future.
Kind regards,
Cecilia

PhiladelphiaGood location, excellent customer service

This apartment is next-door to another, larger, Halldis property that my family has also rented. I'd recommend both properties. This one for a a couple, the other for a family.
Milan is a noisy city, and I think this apartment is relatively quiet considering its proximity to via Torino. We used earplugs to block out the streetcars. I think the second bedroom, which is a couch that makes into two single beds, would be too noisy to sleep in, which is why I'd save this for couples instead of families.
Everybody at Halldis was professional and provided all the thing we needed. We were met just after arriving in the city, and although we were delayed 3 hours from Paris to Milano, we were greeted promptly and had no problem getting to Billa for some groceries.
I would recommend one thing for Halldis to try. We've rented in many countries around the world, and we never fail to appreciate a small welcome basket of essentials... A small olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and a bottle of wine in addition to the pasta that was left would be a nice touch. The box of things that welcomed us made Halldis look a little cheap (salt packets, sauce in a jar, spaghetti, water).
But this was a very good rental experience and everybody at Halldis exceeded our expectations with their commitments to doing the right and helpful thing. -

Canberra AustraliaNine Days in Milan
Left on 04/27/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Nine days in Milan, some sight seeing and shopping in Milan and side trips to Florence and Bergamo (less than 2 hours away). The weather was mild, perfect for tourists. The apartment I rented in Via Nerino was very convenient and comfortable and within walking distance of the Duomo. I could choose from a number of bistros and trattoria within walking distance for breakfast, lunch or dinner. A supermarket was almost directly opposite. Once at the Duomo, a vast selection of high fashion shops, Pecks, the best delicatessan in the world and plenty of cafes and gelato bars abounded. The Brera district is within walking distance of the Duomo. I could not have found a better location in Milan for the price. The wifi connection did not work and I was unable to access any help for this. The arrangements for checking in and out of the apartment do not suit tourists traveling from australia. The last minute email instructions did not reach me in time and my australian mobile phone did not work in Italy. I eventually had to purchase a local mobile phone. The telephone numbers for Halldis on the website are very confusing for australian tourists. The land line number for the Halldis Milan Office looks like a Sydney phone number. The answering service states that the office is open from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm, but does not indicate that this office is in Milan, not Sydney. When trying to ring this number during those hours in australia, the message bank was full and I was unable to leave a message, saying I was trying to contact the office. I tried to ring a couple of the mobile numbers listed on the site, without success and still don't understand why. Email contact with Halldis is not always straighforward. I had trouble making credit card payments on line (the process asks for a credit card number of more than 16 digits? and getting help from Halldis by e-mail was time consuming and frustrating.

Perfect Position
Left on 08/15/2011 for a stay in April 2011
We were pleasently surprised when we arrived at the aparment. All the rooms were quite large and comfortable, especially the lounge/dining area which overlooked the main street of Milan. We could see the Duomo and other beautiful buildings in the area. The kitchen was well equiped. Travelling with 4 adults and having 2 seperate bathrooms/toilets plus a washing machine was a bonus. The beds were very comfortable which was important to us. The building was very quiet, secure and well kept. The best coffee shop was across the road! But make sure you ask for a cafe latte and not just a "latte" as we do here in australia, we got given a cup of "latte" which was a cup of warm milk!! The Duomo was only a 5 minute stroll, fantastic boutiques, restaurants, large supermarket and other quaint shops along the way. Dont miss going to the Galleria, which was spectacular. The transport was very convenient, with a choice of trams, buses and or trains just outside the doorstep. We would definately stay there again and would recommend it to anyone for value and location.

SingaporeA pleasant experience in a very Italian home
Left on 07/11/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Loved the view from our window (a view of another building's rooftop) as it had a very Italian feel. The only downside was that the elevator was really small and old, and there was no airconditioning (had mosquitoes on 1 night) and showers are too small. Apart from that, loved the location - just a minute to the main street Via Nerino and 8 minutes walk from the Duomo!

We had a good stay at the property, the location was excellent very close to Duomo.
The overall property had a lot of character and had a nice feel to it.
However there were a few things which would have improved the stay.
1. The accomodation was in reasonably good condition, although the bathrooms were a bit basic and dated.
2. We had problems with the Hot Water Boiler, which was attended by the maintenance man, unfortunatley he did not seem to know what to do, so I had to show him the instructions that I found in the flat so that he could fix the boiler.
3. The electric supply kept tripping out, we presume that one of the kitchen appliances was faulty, this also affected the hot water system.
4. There appeared to be too many electrical plugs for the sockets and this did not appear to be very safe.
Overall we were generally very pleased with the apartment.

Halldis is a good company, however they seem to change staff a lot.. it's been 2 person in charge of my account who stoped working there in 6 month.
In regards to the apartment, it was clean, everything was working properly, the agreement to clean the house by a maid was well respected..
One negative thing is the price, i beleive it's a bit expensive..
