  Great location but not a pleasant stay

  The apartment location is ideal for walking into the centre and exploring the old part of Milan (within the walls). Unfortunately the apartment is loud due to a youth hostel being next door and very poorly insulated windows. If the windows had been tighter the noise would have been possibly manageable. We had trouble sleeping every night. Also the apartment does not include things that might be expected such as salt and pepper, extra toilet rolls, paper towel, oil and vinegar, etc so we had to purchase absolutely everything. There were also surcharges for arriving after hours, internet access,etc which added to the initial price. We would look at a different location if going again. The Halldis people were good to deal with and we had no problem with the management company - just this flat in particular.

  we’re sorry that you aren't fully satisfied of your stay in Milan. The apartment is actually located in a very quiet street in the city center, but close to a youth hostel that occasionally can cause some noise. Thank you for your remark, we have just changed accordingly the apartment description on our website.
  We are truly sorry, because there must have been a mistake in the setting up of your apartment. We normally leave in the apartments a welcome kit containing water, pasta, olive oil, coffee, tea, sugar and salt, but from what you said obviously it was not there. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you.
