This semi-detached cottage is situated in the centre of Minchinhampton town and sleeps two people in one bedroom. Lower Forge is a 300 year old stone cottage in the centre of the town of Minchinhampton in Gloucestershire. This all ground floor cottage sleeps two people and has one double bedroom, as well as a bathroom. The cottage also has a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and a coal effect gas fire. Outside there is a front enclosed patio with furniture, roadside parking available from 5pm to 9am outside the cottage and there is free parking close by. Lower Forge is an ideal romantic retreat in an area that has lots of se...e and do.

Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Free roadside parking from 5pm until 9am outside cottage. Additional unrestricted free roadside parking within 300 yards. Front enclosed patio with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops, pub and restaurants 1 min walk.

Town: The market town of Minchinhampton offers a weekly market in a 17th century Market House, shops, pubs and cafes. Close by is Rodborough Commons, which is managed by the National Trust and the city of Gloucester and the town of Cheltenham are within driving distance.Read more

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  well the cottage was lovely. bed was comfy, the living room nicely appointed as was the kitchen. the town is quaint, almost right out of Dickens, they let cows roam the streets and a few went by the window as we were enjoying a muffin and coffee for breakfast. there is a nice pub, The Crown Inn, a very nice tea room & a small grocery which had almost anything essential for light meals all just around the corner. we choose a rental in a town just for those conveniences and to get a bitm of a feel for life in a small village in the English countryside. The owners are a charming couple, we had a drink with them one evening and had a lovely discussion of life in England and the us.
  shower in the bath was in the tub and could have been a bit larger but this was only a minor issue when one viewed the whole experience.

  A fresh, clean and well-equipped cottage

  We were contacted by telephone re the key, and met by the landlord and his wife. There was a welcome pack waiting for us in the kitchen. The cottage was immaculate inside and out, and well-equipped. We had comfortable seating, and a nice dining area, and the bedroom was a reasonable size and very comfortable. The cottage was a stone's throw from the centre of Minchinhampton, near to a car park, and ideal for exploring the Cotswolds. We liked the smartness of the property, and the convenience of being so close to the shops, cafe and pub. We could park outside for an hour legally during the day in the week, and when longer parking was permitted it was soon filled up, so parking outside was a bit of a lottery, but it was still a great break.
