Our Windrich farm experience was nothing short of magical. The surrounding area is a wonderful blend of pastoral vistas and classic Halliburton forested horizons. We loved the cut beam rustic Guest House that afforded us every comfort. Whether it be a soothing sauna after a long walk, a barbeque on the large wrap around deck, or just a game of cards with family and friends... the Guest House has it all. They definitely deserve an a+ for ambiance.
The lyrical Gull River is bordered by beautiful flora and fauna as all manner of birds rejoice in celebration. At night the fields are alive with the soft strobe of fireflies while willows dance under a full moon. Paul and his wife are exceptional hosts and make every effort to ensure your stay at their wonderful sanctuary is a memorable one. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable getaway.

For a person not known to relax a whole lot my visits have allowed me to do just that. It could be the views, the running and flowing water or the hospitality. I suspect the combination of all is what makes it work for me.
The view from the deck in the morning,the fog on the river with the gentle but always moving of air as the sun comes up can not help but put one close to a perfect start of the day.
The season does not matter as I have experienced them all. -

Our adult family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Windrich Farm. A unique vacation with lots of time to relax and enjoy the beautiful setting of rolling hills, horses in the paddock and a lovely river where you can fish off the dock. Great for long walks thru the fields and down to the nearby lake. Would highly recommend this unique home away from home for your vacation.

If you are looking for a quite and relaxing place where the sunsets across beautiful fields while overlooking the Minden river - this place is for you. The house is old but full of character and charm with everything you could need.
Your hosts are the most wonderful, open and friendly people you will meet - true friends! Wonderful conversations sitting around the fire and looking at the stars.

I usually never write reviews but after staying here for a week with my family I have to say words can tell enough how much we enjoyed our stay. My husband and I booked this for 3 days last summer and I must say what a relaxing place to stay. Wish we could have stayed longer but will be back. The owners Paul and Marie Lynn are a hoot to be around, wonderful and down to earth. There is a river at your finger tips and it runs into a lake. The walks on the dirt road takes you back into time.We enjoyed being around the horses. We were spoiled for the 3 days we were there.---Mickey
