      Family reunion

Left on 07/31/2008 for a stay in July 2008

I made all of the arrangements for family members who would be traveling from Texas, New Mexico, and Virginia. Each and every one of them were totally impressed with the accommodations and the reasonable price. The age span of our group ranged from toddlers to our 85 year old mother. We were together, but never felt like we did not have space. We held a grilling competition between the various families and that was great fun. The location allowed us easy access to white water rafting, horseback riding, hiking to waterfalls and golf.We all agreed to plan another reunion and do it here.

Dissappointed with porch furniture being cabled together and lack of dishes, especially in basement. Besides that the cabin was great.

Dave w.'s review of BEAR MOUNTAIN LODGE

Left on 04/28/2008 for a stay in November 2007

Beautiful cabin and amenities. The only hesitation we would have in returning to this particular cabin would be that the bed(s) and furniture was a little too soft. In other words, my wife and I need a firmer mattress and sofa due to some back problems, but everyone has their own preferences for that. We also liked that the road to the cabin was completely paved. Overall the cabin was very quiet and peaceful. We met a couple of neighbors in the community who were very nice.

The Johnson's Impressions of our 2007 Vacation

Left on 04/26/2008 for a stay in July 2007

Except for the loss of water pressure due to development, and the presence of black ants in the kitchen cabinets, we found the cabin to be very nice. The property mgr was extremely pleasant and helpful. Special mention must be made for the placement of a Foos Ball machine in the game room for my brothers and I. We look forward to a return visit.

      the bear house

Left on 04/13/2008 for a stay in September 2007

I brought my family for a early fall getaway. We are originally from the north and miss mtns.,lakes and fireplaces. We felt like we were back home and the house was so comfortable. The grandchildren loved the bear decorations and hence call It the BEAR HOUSE. They frequently ask when we will go back. I am considering the early fall again. The only draw back was the house needed more serving bowls and serving utensils. Otherwise perfect. Oh and a cutting board. Having camped all my life we improvised and all meals were perfect.

Left on 04/12/2008 for a stay in February 2008

The property is beautiful, and has modern amenities. The woodwork and architectural design is breathtaking; not to mention the wonderful natural view that comes with it. The photos are great, but get ready to be amazed when you see it in person!

      Heaven on Earth

Left on 04/09/2008 for a stay in June 2007

This place has to be the nicest place I have stayed anywhere. The mountains surround you and the accomadations were extrodinary. I would recommend this place for any event. Peace, harmony and serenity all wrapped up into one. The only setback we had was the grill. It ran out of gas and the staff was right there to accomadate our needs. Faster then hotel service. If you really want to create wonderful memories for your special occasion. This is the place to be. Hope you enjoy it as much as my 9 brothers and sisters did. God Bless
