AthensLoved it!
Left on 10/05/2012 for a stay in September 2012
I won't repeat all the nice things folks have said-it is all true. A few more things to mention:
1. Private without being way off in the country. Never saw a neighbor, probably not true once leaves fall off in the fall.
2. Our sedan made it up and down the road/driveway with no trouble (dry, warm weather)
3. 3 levels each with bedroom/bathroom/deck. Lots of seating options outdoors. Nice for personal space.
4. Sundance Rentals was friendly and easy to use and we will be doing this (or another) cabin again.
Negatives:
1. Not wilderness so you do pass by many neighbors on the way.
2. Cleaning fee a bit high-especially since we did not use much of the space.

2 neighbors and I recently spent the weekend in the Laurel Creek cabin. We had a wonderful time, and can't wait to come back. The cabin is so well stocked...the kitchen put mine at home to shame, is was so well stocked with any size pan you might need for any meal.
We had plenty of privacy, and really enjoyed the deck, the creek and the beautiful weather. Thanks, Tom. -

This was our second stay in as many years with Sundance cabin rentals, and I must say it just gets better every time. Tom Stone, and his team pay such close attention to the smallest detail to make your stay a enjoyable one!! We are a family of four, so staying in this cabin we felt like we were in a mansion, because we had so much space. The creek is such a soothing sound during the day, and even more soothing during the evening hours. Some people have commented about the gravel drive to and from the cabin, well it is not difficult to navigate at all, we drove our Honda Odyssey up and down the road many times and had no issues. We look forward to returning to stay with Sundance again in the future, thank you for all you do!!

Port Charlotte Fl.Beautiful cabin in a secluded beautiful setting!
Left on 01/26/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Had a wonderful vacation. Tom was very friendly and helpful. People in Mineral Bluff and surrounding areas are extremely friendly. I have never slept in such a comfortable bed while on vacation as I did in the upstairs bed in Laurel Creek. The only vacation I have ever been on where I did not miss my own bed. If you are nervous driving on gravel roads that are very steep this is not the cabin for you, but if you want a beautiful cabin in a beautiful, secluded setting Laurel Creek is the cabin for you. We will definitely rent through Tom @ Sundance for our next stay in the mountains, our only dilemma will be choosing Laurel Creek again or trying somewhere new.

Left on 01/20/2012 for a stay in May 2011
We only had four of our group of eight ladies from atlanta, Ga. We found this cabin to be well stocked with anything that we wanted, even had walking sticks by each door. We could hear the creek from the deck and could see a portion of the creek. Just beautiful being down in the valley of the mountain, the morning sun shining through the trees was magnificent, God is Good. We enjoyed ourselves, slept good in comfortable beds, eat good, and even got in some shopping.
We had a wonderful experience at Laurel Creek and hope to come back again, would recommend this cabin to anyone wishing to have a restful stay in a lovely mountain cabin. -

Atlanta, GAA perfect getaway spot
Left on 01/19/2012 for a stay in November 2011
I rented Laurel Creek for my friend's 30th birthday girl's weekend, and it was a huge hit! Tom Stone, from Sundance Cabin Rentals, was quick to respond to my inquiry, answered all my questions thoroughly and was very helpful throughout the rental process.
One thing that was especially nice about renting Laurel Creek was that they had a keyless entry, meaning we didn't have to venture 20 miles out of our way to check in/out at an office - a huge help when you are arriving later than business hours.
Arriving at the cabin, we were amazed to find that it was even more beautiful than the pictures led us to believe. The cabin had all the amenities we could have hoped for, and we quickly ditched all plans to go out over the weekend.
Renting from Sundance was a breeze. The rental agreement is straightforward, our charges were exactly what we expected and they even let us have a late checkout since no one was going to be arriving that day.
The only thing that I would make note of is that the gravel road and driveway leading up to the cabin was a bit tricky to navigate. We had a SUV, a mini-van and a sedan and they all fishtailed a bit - so ideally you would want a car that handles all terrains well, especially if there is snow on the ground.
We will definitely be renting from Sundance again and will revisit Laurel Creek the next time we want a fun weekend in the mountains.

Left on 09/22/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We were throughly amazed by everything about this cabin. It was secluded, relaxing, beautiful, and perfect! The cabin had everything we were looking for except a mountain view, but the sounds of creek nearby was enough to over look the view. Our mornings were spent enjoying a cup of coffee in the hot tub. We couldn''t have asked for anything more except to have this cabin closer to where we live so we could visit yearly!

The cabin at Laurel Creek was exactly as described.Tranquility abounds at this semi secluded cabin a short drive up the mountain from the paved road. The cabin was clean and comfortable, well furnished with extras like a pool table and hot tub. Booking with Sundance was easy. We had a great time and would definitely recomend Sundance Cabin rentals and Laurel Creek.

Nice place. Very clean. I list pros and cons, but the cons are really minor unless you plan on bringing your boat. Overall we had a really nice four day trip away from atlanta and enjoyed our time there.
Pros:
- Every appliance and pot, pan, dish, etc. that you have at home. Gas grill.
- Clean rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Very few bugs inside.
- Secluded location.
- Nice basement with pool table, darts, and walkout patio with hot tub.
- Great porches with ceiling fans.
Cons:
- Light switches everywhere and many of them seem non-functional. Our family had a little game of "guess the number of switches" and my wife guess dead-on at 58.
- Top floor room has no blinds and a skylight that woke us up earlier than we would have liked each morning.
- If you are taking a boat be sure to have a four wheel drive vehicle because the road in and out of the cabin is quite steep. There is also not much driveway room to turn around if you have a trailer.Response from Sundance Cabin Rentals - 08/28/2011
Manager
Since your stay, the owners have installed blinds on the windows upstairs. The owners lived in the cabin for two years and never had blinds up there because of the privacy given by the woods, but they are early risers. They saw the wisdom of your comments about the sun streaming in, in the morning and installed blinds.
Many, many roads up here in the mountains are not suitable for trailering a boat. If you are planning on bringing a boat tot he mountains, I would suggest that you ask about the roads before coming.
Thank you again for staying with us! -

The cabin is big and beautiful. The area is nice, we saw deer running across the road the first night we arrived. There are nice walking trails right outside the door that lead down to a stream. And there are lots of other walking trails in the area. The people in the area are absolutely fabulous, friendly talkative and helpful.

As usual, we had a great time in a wonderfully equipped cabin. Plenty of room for our whole family! Our only complaint is
no snow! Of course, that was not in Tom's hands!Response from Sundance Cabin Rentals - 01/13/2011

You missed the snow by just a few days! Christmas Day we got 8" of snow and 4" more over the next two days! The guests were snowed in for 3 or 4 days at Laurel Creek, but they said is was their best vacation ever.

Englewood, FloridaPerfect setting for a peaceful, quiet vacation.
Left on 11/16/2010 for a stay in September 2010
This beautiful cabin has three levels and each bedroom is furnished with a comfortable king-size bed. The kitchen is just like our home kitchen. We never wanted for anything. It was just the two of us so we only used the main level, but this cabin will easily accommodate a large family. The creek is in the woods, not visible from the cabin, but you can hear it from the two porches.

Great stay ! Great place. Driveway is a little dicey but we managed. Probably need to level the gravel a little more frequently. Definitely will stay here again !
Response from Sundance Cabin Rentals - 10/19/2010

People have two theories about how you should drive up a mountain gravel road:
1. go fast, go very fast. and spin your tires.
2. go slow and don't let your tires spin.
The second way is the proper way and it works well, but people choose to try the first way (including my wife) and that is what tears up the roads.
I'm glad you had a great time! -

Left on 10/18/2010 for a stay in October 2010
We have never rented a cabin before so we didn't know what to expect, we were very pleasantly surprised. The cabin was so welcoming & clean, we felt right at home. Everything we needed was there. We enjoyed everything, the creek, hot tub, game room & we especially loved the fireplace. We all enjoyed the area, some of us went hiking, while others visited quaint towns in the area to shop. We took a ride to Helen & had a great time there as well.
The roads getting to the cabin were an adventure, especially in a minivan, but it became a running joke for us, "here we go on the wild ride". I recommended making sure you have everything you need for the night before it gets dark because there are no lights on these curvy mountain roads.
It was great fun for all of us & we would definitely come back again.
Thanks Tom for arranging this for us. -

Left on 08/05/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We stayed here for a weekend trip with our two teenage daughters and their two friends. Was worried about them getting bored but that was not an issue. With the game room (pool table & darts) and the hot tub, they had lots of fun and never complained about being bored. They barely watched TV or touched their laptops! We also went tubing on Saturday with Toccoa River adventures. Great fun!! The cabin is in a great location (an adventure in a minivan!!!); secluded but still convenient to get to surrounding activities. It is peaceful and relaxing - and very clean. We will be staying here again! Thanks for a great weekend place to stay!

Left on 07/02/2010 for a stay in June 2010
This cabin is the best cabin we've been to. It is nicely secluded in the woods near a creek and has pretty much all the amenities you would want. The only very minor issues we had is that you have to drive a bit to get to area attractions and getting in and out with a mini-van is slightly difficult. This was vastly overshadowed by the privacy and beauty of where the cabin is located. The kids loved walking around on the paths exploring. I would love to make this cabin a regular vacation visit for our family.
