The cottage had plenty of room for just 2, it can sleep up to 4-5 I believe. It is located right on the lake which is beautiful. The town of Lake Tomahawk is literally walking distance away, and Minocqua is a short drive...
At the time of my visit, the other cottages nearby were empty so it was extremely private. I recommend this cottage to couples and any smaller parties looking for a comfortable, convenient location up north! -

We go to Minocqua yearly but usually stay at a hotel on the chain; but this cottage rental was by far our best vacation in Minocqua. We do a lot of boating, skiing, swimming, and fishing and the chain of lakes are absolutely gorgeous and clear. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with a great view of the lake. We were able to dock our boat there; and they had a canoe, kayak, rowboat, and paddle boat available for us to use. Besides boating, we enjoyed the ski show, great shopping, the zoo, horseback riding, go carts, and mini golf. We are definitely renting here again!!!

After many years camping on Lake Tomahawk, I thought I might give cottage life a try. I was lucky enough to find the BayView Cottage. It was absolutely perfect! The space offered everything that we needed and the amenities are spectacular. It's proximity to the boat launch and the nearby town of Lake Tomahawk were so convenient. And yet it still offered the privacy that we had hoped for as we escaped from the realities of every day life. I can't wait to go back and enjoy it again. It absolutely felt like home every minute we were there.

My family and I found the house to be very clean and very nice. The parking was a bit of a hassle and some of the evenings were hot but overall exceeded expectations.
The boat slip was convenient and the lake is beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone as a good value and excellent situation for a small family -

It was great to be back staying in the Bay. You get to see lots of activity at the boat launch. The cottage was wonderful. It is nice to have a good bed to sleep in after all the activities during the day. Boat dck was exceptional and the fishing was good.

The house was so cute! The lake was quiet and so relaxing! My kids loved the paddle boat and the canoe ride around the lake. The raft was great to swim on as well. We did a ton of fishing off the pier! It was great to sit by the bon fire at the end of the day and make smores! The house had everything we needed...dishes, garbage bags, sticks for roasting marshmallows, and little things I wouldn't have thought to pack...except a washer and dryer! I wish I had packed more towels. I will say it was a little small for a family of 5 for more than a couple of days. There was enough sleeping space, but it got a little cramped when it rained! Not sure if they are installing air conditioning or not, but it got a bit hot at the end of July. Wished I had known about that before hand. Luckily the nights were cool. The owners were great to work with. So friendly and helpful with the area. They were not bothered when I kept calling with my questions! Very reachable. They got right back to me every time! Their property manager was reachable as well. We took a wrong turn upon arrival and she picked up the phone when I called and directed me down the driveway!
In the end...we absolutley had a blast...we wished we could have stayed longer! -

The cottage was very clean, had a dock for our boat which was very important. The only discomfort was our doing 7 people in this cottage is way to many, I would say no more than 4 people. A little to much furniture in the cottage also but overall very pleased with the accomidations

We do advertise that the cottage is suitable for 5, and would agree that 7 is a tight fit. We did let the renters know that 7 would be "snug" in our cottage, prior to renting. We will only rent to families of 5 or less, to accommodate our guests better. We strive to make our cottage the best possible rental in the North Woods!

The location was great. We were able to enjoy time on the lake swimming, fishing and the great weather. There were lots of activities in the various towns to keep us and the kids busy also.
We will be going back again this summer! -

We loved the get-away and home. At the time, there was allot of construction so the area was a bit difficult to navigate, but I'm sure that cleared up by now.
We will definately revisit and we just loved the fact we had access to the pier, fishing boat and the the children enjoyed the paddle boat.
What I would REALLY appreciate(as crazy as this may sound) is a heads up on the snowshoe baseball schedule so we could visit during game times. I think the children would enjoy it.
A recommendation for owners, a list of recommended acitvites(fishing, snowmobile rental etc.) and places to eat in the area. We found horseback riding and the town of Minoquoa(spelling?) great!
