      Love at first sight!

Left on 07/09/2012 for a stay in June 2012

This apartment is just heaven on the amalfi Coast! I am glad that we chose Minori and not a more touristy destination like Positano. The sleepy little town of Minori sits cradled between two mountainsides terraced with lemon groves. Despite it's small size, there is so much activity, great restaurants, cafes and gelaterias open 'til late. The apartment is right in the center of it all. It is practically on the beach but mostly facing the street adjacent to the main town square. It is spacious and immaculately kept. Gorgeous tile graces the floor with beautiful pieces of antique furniture, clean white linens, great wi-fi and much attention to detail through out the apartment that is equipped with every comfort to make your stay just pure bliss.

My husband, 6 year-old daughter and I spent a week, falling in love with Minori and this amazing apartment that used to be the 16th century dwelling of the town's priest. We lived like locals for a week. Open and airy, sea breezes blow in through the many windows and balconies of the apartment. The sounds of the street waft in from all sides. People watching isn't easier than from the windows that wrap around the bright and beautiful kitchen. Sitting and having dinner at the apartment is like sitting outdoors because of the great views and sounds of people walking up and down the hilly street outside. The kitchen was our favorite part of the house. I immensely enjoyed cooking there. From our windows, we could see the fresh catch of the day being brought in the morning at angelo's "Pescheria" downstairs. It's a two minute trip to get fresh fish or meat, fresh bread in the morning or scrumptious desserts (from Sal de Riso). Luigi's little supermarket is about 3 minutes away. A few blocks down there is a great produce at a Fruteria, that is grown just up the road. Everything is organic by default! The bus stop is right in front of the building and will take you along the amalfi Coast.

Franco, who showed us to our apartment was so helpful and checked in on us often to make sure everything was going well. He took us down to the beach and showed us around one day. He also arranged a private boat rental for us and recommended some great restaurants. He works just by the apartment so it was always easy quick and easy to get in touch with him if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend renting a boat and exploring the amalfi Coast for yourself. We had such a fun day discovering quiet beaches and secluded grottos along the Coast, along with a stop in Positano. There is a little travel agency close by that helped us arrange a trip to Pompeii and Herculaneum that is a definite must-do! We didn't rent a car which I think would have been more of a liability than anything else. The buses were great --even with large pieces of luggage to and from the train station in Salerno.

Minori was the highlight of our trip to Italy and we just can't wait to return!

Lovely apartment, shame about amalfi area.

Left on 10/08/2011 for a stay in September 2011

Gorgeous apartment, high ceilings, italian tiles and antique furniture - we couldn't fault it. However, it was noisy from traffic on the coastal road and every sound seemed to echo through the town's streets. We were so disappointed with the amalfi area. Minori was described on the internet as charming, but we found it to be anything but charming. Talking to other tourists in the area we were all in agreement at the lack of decent restaurants and nice relaxing places to linger over a glass of wine. If you sat in one of the bars on the front you were faced with the constant noise of traffic. When we arrived Franko walked us through the square near the church and through a tree lined walkway which was gorgeous. I really thought then that Minori was going to live up to what I had imagined. How wrong I was. this area was the only place with any charm. Maori was no better, full of tacky shops, along with amalfi which was far from relaxing and unbelievable tacky. The beach at Minori was dirty with cigarette ends - an old boat near the steps that people had filled with rubbish was stinking. To get anywhere in the car it was such an effort to squeeze the car out of the car park space and then you had to squeeze along the winding coast road, hardly moving out of 2nd gear. We did the boat trip to Capri which was nice. Book at the kiosk on the front though as the tourist office charge you 3euros each to book it for you. Beware alfonso the tour guide on the boat also. He convinces you that the boat just drops you of at a beach with nothing on it and no means of transport so that you will pay him 20euros each for a private transfer to annacapri /Capri and his services as a guide. This is not the case however, as there are public buses waiting for the boats to arrive for 1euro and they will take you whereever you need to go. He spent 20minutes with us in annacapri and 30mins in Capri and left us with very little information on the island. Far better to take the public bus and visit the tourist office on the island. He also tries to sell you a meal in another tacky restaurant for 20euros when there were far nice and cheaper places to eat. Unfortunately, we came home from amalfi not really feeling like we had had a holiday and came home three days early.

Our two weeks at Calata Ponte was all we would have wished.

Left on 09/30/2011 for a stay in September 2011

The flat was spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable and faced north (to the mountains and along street)- meant that the apartment was cool despite the hot weather. Minori was a delight- interesting, small, people were very friendly. We travelled along coast by bus(a bit ad-hoc despite timetable, drivers excellent and very helpful) and ferry - did not miss a car.Franco picked us up and returned us to Naples - the transfer was very good.We also walked a lot - did get used to all the steps. Local travel agent good for trips - best trip was the Lemon Tour -very interesting and good fun and excellent lunch!
Franco was very helpful.Directed us to restaurants - the fish was magic. It was all wonderful.

      Minori on the amalfi Coast

Left on 09/16/2011 for a stay in August 2011

We were delighted with the accomodation provided ! The linen was clean and fresh, the bathrooms spotless as was the kitchen and the living room. It was lovely coming back after a hot day and turning on the air-conditioning - bliss. Very convenient location making frequent trips to the beach a breeze. A few small recommendations : improve the parking facility. We were blocked in several times ! Please include more than one roll of toilet paper ! Otherwise I would like to say thank you for such a pleasant stay.

Fantastic accommodation in the Heart of the amalfi Coast

Left on 08/26/2011 for a stay in April 2011

In my view, Minori is the best little village on the amalfi Coast and this accommodation is spectacular. Right in the heart of the village this elegant and extremely well appointed apartment leaves you wanting for nothing. Clean, fresh, bright and reasonably priced with views into the main street allowing you to experience each day like a local. The only down side was Franco who seemed a little grumpy when he greeted us on arrival. This may have been because we kept him waiting a little whilst we tried to find a spot to do a u-turn on the main road and then a spot to park to meet him. Not to mention trying to reverse into an almost impossible parking spot reserved for patrons. Other than this we would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to small families traveling to the amalfi Coast.

      excellent amenities, perfect location

Left on 07/27/2011 for a stay in June 2011

this is a perfect location for someone wanting to explore the amalfi coast. it is not very busy, yet close to everything. the apartment is absolutely beautiful, tastefully decorated and has everything you need.
we were only surprised by the housekeeper's neutral attitude, to say the least. he warmed up towards the end of the stay, but would've been nice to be greeted with a smile and a helpful tour of the apartment.
place is perfect for couples, families with kids. it also has an elevator, so you can bring a disabled person with you.

Absolutely charming apartment in quaint village

Left on 07/25/2011 for a stay in July 2011

My family of two teenage girls, my husband and I stayed in this apartment from July 8 until July 14, 2011. From the excellent location across from the beach to the incredible diversity of cultural events occurring at this time, we were immensely impressed. Minori day is July 14, the day we left therefore we missed the culmination of the celebration - the fireworks. Despite this, it was a wonderful time to visit the area and the people were helpful and very welcoming. Mr. Franco was very helpful. The highlight of our stay in Minori was the day we rented a boat and sailed along the amalfi coast. It was a wonderfully relaxing day.
The apartment itself was very spacious and the kitchen was better than expected, with large windows that opened onto a square. Various mornings, we were greeted by accordion music wafting up to the apartment or by the sounds of a walking band passing by.
The only suggestion that I might offer for the apartment would be more comfortable sleeper sofas if a group of four wishes to use the apartment. As well, I found the master bed very firm, which is not to my liking. Others may not mind a firm bed but the option of adding a "memory foam" topper - that could possibly be stored on site - if needed - would be fabulous for those who enjoy a somewhat softer mattress.
Also, some beach towels instead of the beautiful white towels might be something to add, especially as most of us do not travel with beach towels, at least not if travelling overseas.
Our teenagers missed having WiFi in the apartment. It is a vacation but folks do like to be able to stay in touch and Wi Fi/internet access in the apartment could be a "selling point" for future guests.
Thanks for everything. We will always remember our stay in Minori

I have made many lodging arrangements over the internet and some work out and others have been disasters. When we opened the door to this beautiful apartment I wanted to scream with delight!
Spotless, completely updated, beautifully furnished and just had everything!!!.
The beds were the most comfortable we had experienced in Italy in 2 weeks of travelling.
We absolutely loved the location and working with ravello accomadations was the best experience in my nine months of planning this trip.
I can not wait to return now that i know exactly who to contact and where to stay.

I soli piccoli disagi riguardano il parcheggio dell'auto, in quanto ci è stato chiesto più volte di spostarla e non abbiamo potuto utilizzarla a richiesta.

I was allaround satisfied with my stay at the elegant Minori apartment. I stayed there with my adult daughter and we both felt that the internet pictures were accurate or even understated. We found the living room more attractive than shown in the photos. The bright, lovely kitchen with its excellent views makes for wonderfull breakfasts. I recommended this place to my sister and her husband several weeks later and they enjoyed their stay as much wedid. All of us were very impressed by the high standart of cleanliness!
