Description from the owner
The apartment is located on the second floor of 'Braschi' Building, a prestigious, historic residence along the seafront of Minori, a typical village located in the hearth of Amalfi Coast. Despite the lack of elevator, the apartment is easily accessed through a spacious, comfortable staircase of about 50 steps. The two-floor spacious apartment, 120 square meter (1292 sq ft), was totally renewed in 2009. It faces on one side the Minori bay and from the other side the Basilica of Minori and its courtyard (Sagrato), through the large terrace (40 square meter, 430 sq ft). The terrace is particularly suitable for organising BBQ and enjoying starry...Read more

BrisbaneWhat a great choice

Bcause of our other travel plans we needed to stay at the Southern end of the amalfi Coast and Minori became the town where we found this very lovely, centrally located apartment just opposite the promenade and the beach. The apartment had all the convenience one would need for a longer stay. The local agent was very helpful and assisted us with tickets for Pompei and Mt Vesuvius and arranging transfer to Salerno.
The apartment is clean, has a nice balcony on which to have breakfast and watch the nightly 'passeggiata'.
Bus stop for travelling up and down the coast right at the front of the house.

Left on 08/02/2012 for a stay in July 2012
This apartment was very spacious With plenty of room for 4 adults and a teenager. The large terrace overlooks the Basilica with stunning mountain backdrop - it's worth staying for the view alone! The quality of the furnishings are solid, the air con works well and the apartment is cool and airy with many balconies and being on the third floor ( no lift ). Franco, the caretaker , speaks English and appeared promptly with an engineer when the otherwise reliable wi fi failed a couple of days before we left. This place is perfect for those who want a real Italian experience. Life starts noisily in the morning with bells a ringing, workers a working and horns a blaring, we were lucky enough to be there for the Feast of San Trofinamea so we got the added bonus of a 42 piece brass band kicking off at 8.45am then at 11.pm to serenade us for a few days - noisy but quite charming. Minori is still mainly an Italian holiday place (ie, for Italian holidaymakers) where it is at its liveliest in the early morning and after 9pm (beach empties at lunchtimes as Italians go for lunch and a kip and return late pm) especially on the weekends when it is advisable to get yourself a seaside Brolley early, you can even book one the day before at the Lido California across the road from the apartment. Many Italians book their brolleys for the month or even the whole summer so even if some brolleys seem unoccupied they are pre booked already so no need to think they are not available to foreign tourists (it can be tedious hearing the grumbles of uptight people thinking they are being given the less desirable spots).
In summary (or summery, if you will!) it is a perfect spot in a small town close but far enough from the madding crowds with excellent transport to main tourist spots or a secluded beach if you can be bothered ( boat to amalfi then a little boat to one of the beaches reachable by small boat, ask a local). I recommend large International hotels further up the coast if double glazing, lifts, swimming pools and large multi language menus in restaurants with freezers are your main priorities. -

Five Star! Fantastic! Absolutely fantastic! Everything about our stay in Minori was fantastic largely due to Roberta and Franco! From my initial contact with Roberta via e-mail to the final day of our departure with Franco, Ravello accomodations was top notch!
We arrived late in Minori due to a flight delay but Franco was in touch and patiently waited for us to arrive. Through out stay we say Franco while we were out and about town and he always made it to "check up" on us.
The Ravello apartments are absolutely amazing. Clean, spacious, secure, great location. The renovations to the apartments are fantastic and really make this a great place to call our home away from home. I would highly recommend Ravello accomodations to anyone who is traveling to the amalfi coast, I honestly don't know that you can find better accommodations for your money in my opinion.
Minori: It is one of the smaller towns on the coast but it is so convenient to all of the other towns. The bus line is easy to use and you can get around with ease. At the end of the day it is nice to come back to Minori and enjoy the quaint town with its restaurants, shops and markets. The people are super friendly and we really felt welcomed by everyone we encountered. We hope to return again someday soon!
Molto grazie Roberta y Franco!

The location was perfect, located across from the beach, and the Del Riso bakery was fabulous! Try the Torta asia! The apartment manager met us upon arrival and was very cordial and pleasant and recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner. The apartment was exactly as shown in the pictures and had a wonderful outdoor terrace! I was very pleased with this spacious apartment. I especially enjoyed the small town of Minori - it was not nearly as crowded as amalfi or Positano. Be sure to visit Midnight Sun Bar and say hello to antonio and Marcello. One of the highlights of our visit was listening to two elderly gentlemen singing Italian love songs outside of the bar. I would definately stay at this wonderful apartment again on my next trip to the amalfi Coast!

We (3 related couples) had a fabulous week at Il Sagrato. It was perfectly situated in Minori for views, transport, beach, restaurants and shops. Il Sagrato was so Italian, very clean and spacious with well equipped kitchen and gorgeous terrace. Franco made us very welcome and was always on hand if we needed him. I would definitely recommend this apartment. Thank you Ravello accommodation for making everything so easy. Gabrielle Green & family

This was our second visit to Minori so we knew where the appartment was located. But when we arrived we were truely blown away. We took advantage of having Franco pick us up at the airport. If you're not driving, not only is Franco a great 'driver' he is the best value as well. On separate days Franco took us to Pompeii and to Paestum. On or return trip to the airport Franco went out of his way to find our 'out of the way' hotel. Great service!
Our bags didn't make it (British airways really dropped the ball and given we flew 1st class expected better follow up). Roberta came to our rescue. She took charge making all of the necessary calls, follow ups, and arrangements. And since we don't speak Italian it was critical for us to have such an advocate.
The appartment is on the 3rd floor if you think like an american (2nd if you think European). There are 72 small steps. That said, my mother turned 80 while we were there and she had no problem going up and down the steps several times each day. Our teenager didn't complain either. Besides the view, being on the 3rd floor gets you up high enough to enjoy evening breezes that don't make it to street level. Very, very comfortable.
We stayed during the celebration of S Trofimena. Great view of the band, procession, fireworks... And weddings. Really fun extras.
The appartment has all the amenaties as described but is even better with vaulted ceilings, french doors to balconies, open and airy rooms. Simply spectacular.
We will absolutely use Ravello accomodations in the future and recommend them without reservation. -

Left on 07/08/2011 for a stay in June 2011
As a family of 4 we spent 4 weeks traveling from southern Italy to the north in June. Our stay at Minori was to be our taste of coastal beach living in Italy and the Il Sagrato apartment was excellent. With two young children it was important to have somewhere close to everything we needed - beach, pizza, coffee, pasta, local attractions, buses and the ability to prepare some of our own meals. Il Sagrato provided all this and more. Fantastic views of the basilica, minori hills and beach / coastline. The rooms in the apartment are very spacious with 2 bathrooms and plenty of space to escape the kids when needed. The team at Ravello accommodation were very helpful (Roberta & Franco) they were not able to accommodate us for the full week stay in Il Sagrato but were able to help secure an alternative apartment for 2 nights across the Piazza that was also excellent. Franco was of great help with bags and where to go locally - make sure you seek out the Il Pastio, fresh pasta made very day, get in early to avoid missing out. Be warned about beach politics - the sun beds and umbrellas are highly sort after and certain "families" have reserved the prime locations near the water each year. So, when Franco introduces you to California beach beds (brother in law) for a good deal of €10 per day for 2 beds and umbrella make sure you check the location of the beds on the beach suit your needs. The biggest area for improvement is the noise - we loved the bells no matter what time they rang, did not bother the kids - but the Friday night disco downstairs to 2am at the cafe was too much. We left just before July so can imagine it may be more frequent. If you want true peace and quite then stay in the hills, not in the towns along the coast. Minori is the best location, close enough to visit amalfie & positano but not full of tourists. make sure you visit Ravello in the hills above Minori, catch the bus up, spend the day and then walked the 45 mins down the stairs with the kids.

This place has breathtaking views is very elegant, spacious and clean. The location was on of the best features yet also one that provided some challenges. On one side you have amazing sea views and 16th century basilica and the mountain on the other. The issue is the street noise and the frequent bells from the basilica. Nothing you can't get used, we certainly did. Overall, we enjoyed our stay immensely and we are sure so will you. Minori is a great transit spot to visit the other amalfi Coast villages and towns. It also has amazing hiking trails.

This apartment has the wow factor. Great location in a wonderful amalfi coast village. We were so pleased we chose Minori over the other better known villages. Minori is quaint with just enough restaurants, gelati and coffee shops and not overcrowded. The bus to all the other villages passes by the doorstep but visits to these more 'touristy' (perhaps Positano means tourist in Italian!!) areas had us relieved to return to the sanctuary of Minori. From this location we could also make a day trip to Pompeii. Another bonus is that we only had 4 nights yet all the apartments along the amalfi coastline generally ask for a week minimum - here was an exception. Booking with Ravello accommodation via the internet was seamless, the gentleman who checked us in very helpful (even coming to our rescue on the last day when our hire car broke down) car. Be sure to have your morning coffee/pastries at Il Giardinello, pick up your fresh pasta from Il Pastaio for lunch and then for dinner a great Napoli style pizza from Pub Birilla. Forget the diet and finish the night will some Limoncillo and dessert back where your day started - Il Giardinello! You can walk to Ravello from here and exploring the mountains at the rear of the village on foot was a highlight. Our stay conicided with some religious festivals so we had fireworks most nights and nightly soccer games at the waters edge. The was only negative - leaving!

Stayed at Il Sagrato (Ravello accommodation) in Minori for our dream Italian wedding. We wanted self contained so we could have the option to cook as much fresh produce as possible. The accom was amazing. Located on the 2nd floor of a old building that looks over the beach the apartment was very impressive. The village of Minori is perfectly situated in the middle of the amalfi Coast. The local buses meant getting to and from amalfi, Positano and Salerno extremly easy. Being in a local village was much nicer than being in the middle of tourist mayhem.
Had our wedding meal at the local restaurand Giardinello in Minori. Some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten. Actually can't say that I didn't have a wonderful meal the entire trip. Even the small pizzeria was very impressive. Best bit was being able to buy some amazing local produce and cook it up in our well appointed kitchen then eat it out side on the fabulously large balcony overlooking the local church. Don't forget to enjoy the local Limoncello.
Within the apartment you will find the kitchen fully stocked of all the equipment you could possibly need to cook your own local italian family feast. There are plenty of books and also a DVD player to keep the kids busy if the beach can't.
All in all, couldn't recommend this apartment and the team from Ravello accommodation highly enough. -

We have just returned from our 2 month trip exploring Portugal and Italy, and this was by far the best apartment we had the pleasure of renting during our stay. It was a perfect home base for the amalfi Coast, with huge, bright, airy rooms and inviting terraces and balconies from which to enjoy the ever-changing views and events of Minori. Hardly a day went by when there wasn't a wedding or a funeral at the beautiful church, and we felt a part of the town when we watched from our terrace.
The building is across from one of the best beaches on the amalfi Coast, and the bus stops right outside the door, so a car is not needed (thank goodness, as the roads are crazy on the Coast!). There are plenty of markets and restaurants nearby, and the kitchen was well equipped to cook our own meals as well.
This was our 2nd trip to Minori, and we will most definitely book this apartment when we return again! It is perfect for 2 couples, or a family, spotless and well furnished. -

Left on 10/11/2010 for a stay in September 2010
While the photos of the apartment on the website where very good, the apartment itself exceeded our expectations. Having both bedrooms on seperate levels allowed for quite a lot of privacy. The apartment location was excellent, the town of Minori felt much more local than holiday/touristy. The Terrace leading from the kitchen was brilliant and we found ourselves moving the table and chairs outside most evenings to eat just so we could look at the view of the mountains.
Local restaurants were fantastic from a quick pizza at la Botte to a splendid meal at Il Giardinello. All the coastal towns are so close and very easy to get to from Minori on the local buses.
All in all, excellent value for money and we are already looking at dates to return next year. -

We stayed in "Il sagrato" for two weeks during summer 2010 with my wife, our 3 and 7 y.o. daughters. (and also, for a few days, my father adnd mather in law).
Since the moment of booking (with very kind Miss R. Camera) I received clear and exhaustive information and an appropriate counsel about the property, matching my wishes with properties characteristics. At the arrival in Minori we discovered that the apartment outdated our expectations; central, stunning sea and village view, clean, fresh, spacious, perfectly arranged and furnished. It seemed us to stay in our-home, also thanks to the helpful assistance of Mr. Franco (local facilitator) and Maria (The maid who kept the house in a perfect state during the entire holiday). For a family with young children, looking for a relaxing holiday, this accommodation is like a five star hotel suite, with the freedom of your own home. Thanks to the entire "Ravello accommmodation" Team! -

Left on 06/09/2010 for a stay in May 2010
We have travelled to many points around the globe and our standards for accommdations are very high, with our priority being cleanliness. This apartment was great. It was modernized without losing the charm of the old building it occupies. All windows were actually floor to ceiling french doors opening out onto Juliette balconies or a very large terrace.
The views are outstanding, from one end you get the seaside, another a city courtyard/promenade, and a third of the basilica. During our stay, we observed two lively Italian weddings.
The town of Minori is quaint but don't expect the quiet place one would expect of an american town of 2,000 pop. Villiage life starts early in the morning and goes to late at night. Located in the center of town and fronting the amalfi coast drive, you get a lot of noise (traffic, chatter, etc.). The noise is the only negative we experienced during our 8 day stay. The usual noise, for us, was compounded by the construction/ repair work that was ongoing for most of our stay. We would have spent more time in this spacious comfortable apartment had it not been for this.
Minori offers a wonderful taste of Italian country life. Few tourists, quaint shops, fresh produce and meat markets and the like. For those desiring a larger setting, and likely quieter surrounds, I'd recommend Ravello which is at the top of the mountain, above Minori. In fact, one of the most enjoyable things we did during our amalfi stint was to make the hike to Ravello and spend the day there.
And, finally, a general comment about visiting the amalfi coast: you don't need a car. We used our rental car just twice (aside from reaching and leaving Minori to start and end our stay). There are taxis and both the busses and boats have stops in Minori (steps from this apartment).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. -

Left on 04/07/2010 for a stay in March 2010
My family had a lovely and memorable Easter in Minori. The apartment was beautifully presented and maintained with stunning views from every room. The apartment contained everything we needed for a very pleasant stay. Located very conveniently only two minutes walk from the SITA bus stop and the beach, there was also a lovely man at the bar downstairs who made a delicious coffee each morning! It would be nice to return in warmer weather to enjoy the beach however we enjoyed the quiet time with few tourists in March/April.
