Stellenbosch, South AfricaMinori Heaven
Left on 10/12/2012 for a stay in September 2012
The Ciliegia apartment in Minori felt like home away from home. Apart from an excellent view of the ocean and mountains, the apartment was beautifully, spotless and offered us all the facilities we needed. The town of Minori is a little gem, lively without the crowds. The locals are friendly and hospitable and we were able choose from a variety of fresh meats and vegetables from the local shops to cook with. The walk to Ravello is a highlight, it's a tiring, steep climb but your visit is not complete without seeing the view from up there. With a daily coffee at Bar Bambi, fresh seafood at Midnight Sun and ice cream on the beach, Minori felt like heaven to us.

Ciliegia, a one bedroom apartment in the center of Minori, right across the street from the beach. From the apartment, one can hear the waves crashing on the shore. Wonderful location. Nicely decorated and renovated, on the fourth floor of an old building. Good exercise by climbing, up and down, every day (avoid this place if you mind stairs). The wireless internet service worked very well. Also if one does not want to go to the beach, you get access to a gorgeous pool (more steps to climb though), located at another of the properties, about 1 km away, following the road to amalfi. Franco, Norma and Vincenzo, who all work for amalfi vacation, were wonderful. Emails were promptly responded to. Quiet and pleasant little village. Lots of hiking trails around. Don't miss the climb up the steps to Ravello. The views are not to be missed. Good little café in the same building. September was a lovely month to visit the amalfi coast. I will rent this property again in the near future. I absolutely loved it.

The apartment is stunning and in a great location. In order to have these beautiful views though you do have to take a bus that feels somewhat like a rollercoaster and does not have air con.
It was very lovely to be met off the bus and shown to the apartment but I felt that once money was exchanged she was quite quick to leave. Even though we explained it was our first time in minori nothing was suggested to do or where to go for dinner etc. We also had to chase her down the stairs to find out where the swimming pool was. The directions we received were also terrible and ended up looking for the pool for maybe half an hour. -

I booked this appartment for my husband and my 2 children who are in Italy at present and this is what they had to say. Beautifully appointed appartment, very close to the beach, clean and freshly decorated. I made the booking for them from australia. Booking the appratment directly from australia was very easy. A few emails and a couple of phone calls. The staff, Vincenzo especially, was extremely helpfull trying to fit within our schedule and finding us two lovely properties, one in Minore and another one in amalfi.
We will definitely go back there again. -

What can I say? The location is fabulous.
We were so happy we chose to stay in Minori vs. Amalfi.
Amalfi was just too filled with tourist and tour buses.
Franco was absolutely wonderful...helping and guiding us in ways I could not have imagined.
His gardens were extremely well looked after.
The endless pool provided many fun times with my family & an opportunity meet other like-minded families.
As we opened our windows we were rewarded with a terrific view of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The beach and ocean were wonderful & clean, !!
9 days were not enough. We will just have to return. -

It was one of the best vacation for all time. We had rent Ciligea for the almost one month in June. The apartment is really good, situated very close to the beach. Nearby there are many little shops with food and restaurants. We were travelling with little child and we had no problems with meal for her.
The staff is very friendly. In case of any problems, questions somebody assisted us promptly. -

Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This apartment was fantastic and everything we needed for our few days in Minori. The beds were comfortable, was clean and amalfi Vacation were very welcoming and friendly. There were beautiful views across to the beach and sea, and it was perfectly located for all the bars and restaurants etc.
My one criticism would be there was a little bit of noise late at night from the pizza bar down the side of the building but we managed to sleep through this. -

Everything about our stay in the apartment was wonderful, the staff very helpfull, the apartment was spotlessly clean and had washing powder for the washing machine and dishwasher, also extras like tea, sugar etc, which is a bonus when you dont have to buy all this for just a weeks stay and no car.The views were wonderful and the location was perfect, close to the bus stop and great for local walks. The infinity pool we were able to use was a bonus, it is a short walk away and also owned by amalfication, we spent 3 perfect afternoons there.

The apartment was wonderful! The location was superb. The beach is across the street, a wonderful cafe in front, and a great cappacinno right outside the door. The apartment was spacious, well equipped and had great views of the town and beach. I will stay there again when I return to amalfi.

Left on 11/09/2011 for a stay in October 2011
i travelled to minori with my husband and 7-month old baby. we had never been to the amalfi coast. were we ever in for a treat! besides the fact that october 2011 had the hottest temps the coast has seen in october in 150 yrs, but the apartment was splendid!
we arrived by car, and were promptly met at a cafe to get the key. someone even parked the car for us!
we walked up the 120 steps to get to the apartment overlooking the sea - gorgeous views! breathtaking! unobstructed! we quickly learned that walking up 120 steps just meant we could justify eating more pasta each day! :) the apartment is clean, neat, smells nice, is well equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, stove, freezer, fridge, books to read, etc). a crib and linens were even on site to welcome our baby boy - at no extra charge! the sofa is a fold-out bed - perfect for lounging.
the cafe downstairs is to die for! in the town, there are plenty of little stores where you can buy fresh produce/fish/milk/diapers. we walked to ravello (a must for walking!!! gorgeous scenery, but challenging), maiori and amalfi. this was with a baby either strapped onto us or with us pushing a stroller. totally doable!
the beach is literally 120 steps down, and about 50 steps in front of you. the water is clear, clean, and the beach is well maintained. maybe think to bring water sandals if you don't want to be stepping on the rocks. i went swimming almost every day - along with our baby. we also had access to an infinity pool, about 10 minutes walk away. it is well worth the walk - the view is stunning and the pool area is secluded and cozy! if you look up, you see the lemon groves. if you look down, you see the sea!
all in all, i will recommend this place to anyone travelling to italy, whether they initially planned on going to the amalfi coast or not! ;) ...and i'm looking forward to our next trip there! thank you! -

BarcelonaUna gran opción
Left on 10/08/2011 for a stay in September 2011

We rested all our family with three children (12, 2 years and 7 months). Rented apartments at 2.5 months (June-August 2011).
Excellent service: Vincenzo and alessandro were constantly in touch, helping in all matters, were very friendly.
Excellent location: the small and very nice city - Minori. There few tourists compared to the Maiori or amalfi. Nice beach, many small shops with fruit, fish, etc. The apartment's located on the 4th floor of an old beautiful building, directly next to the beach (50 meters).
Excellent apartment: wonderful view, very clean, has everything you need (including a dishwasher and washing machine).
My family fell in love with this place, we plan to come back in the future. -

Left on 07/05/2011 for a stay in June 2010
We stayed in Ciliegia for 4 nights in June, and our complete stay was faultless!
Travelling with my boyfriend and 2 friends (all of us in our 20's), we enjoyes our time in Minori in so many ways.
Our stay began with Franco meeting us at a local cafe, and taking us for a quick walk to show us the important places in Minori (the chemist, ATM machine, bottle shop and restaurants!). We then climbed the 100 stairs up to the apartment. (yes your butt will be sore, but the view is well worth it!) Spotlessly clean, large open windows with amazing views over the ocean and town below. Minori is a wonderful little town, not overun by tourists and has such a great local feel, you become familiar with the locals, and start to become like family! Local family Limoncello, seafood etc. and only a short boat trip to anywhere on the amalfi coast. We rented scooters for a day and drove to positano which was such a great experience! We were lucky enough to have access to an infinity pool also owned by amalfication 700m away, which we used and took some more great photos of the spectacular view! We couldnt have asked for a greater place, and hope to god it stays a little secret we can return to one day!!!
p.s make sure you visit antonio at Moonlight bar- such a character!

Karratha, Western AustraliaThe highlight of our stay in Italy
Left on 08/28/2010 for a stay in May 2010
Minori was the final destination in our trip after one month's travelling and it was the highlight. The town is picture perfect and although it has restaurants and bars, it isn't staurated with tourists or tour buses. The apartment is just delightful - once you get over the stairs (and in the end your butt will thank you for them after one-too-many pasta dishes) the view makes it all worth it. We hired a scooter and visited amalfi and further up the coast to Positano and down to Salerno and when we got back to Minori we realised how lucky we were to have chanced on these apartments. Our host Franco was wonderful - he made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived and whenever we needed something, he went out of his way to get it for us. With the amazing location and the views over the town and the beach, we couldn't have wished for a better stay.
