Just on the water's edge you will find this exclusive accommodation near Ravello, along the Amalfi Coast. Within a villa, this Amalfi Coast apartment sits outside a pretty little village not far from Ravello. Here you will have private access to the sea as well as large private terraces. And don't worry about grocery shopping until you're ready... this Amalfi Coast accommodation comes stocked with provisions for a couple of meals, so all you have to do is arrive and relax!

The villa is located on the water's edge, just outside of the pretty town of Minori, in an area called Marmorata which is below the mediaeval town of Ravello. The vil...la enjoys an exclusive waterside position and the proximity to Ravello, where all the musical and cultural events are held. This beautiful residence belongs to an old aristocratic family; it has that special charm and character typical of period homes with a rich historical background with majolica tiled floors and high arched ceilings throughout. The villa is a restored paper mill that was converted a long time ago, like many others in the area, into two large private apartments. The views from the house are magnificent; the water is just below the property, with private access to the sea and three large private terraces, each equipped with lounge chairs and sun umbrellas. There are several apartments above this house inhabited by permenant residents, while the two large units represented here [can be rented separately or as one large apartment] are joined by a double bedroom. The wisteria terrace belongs to Ceramica Terrace. Distances: Amalfi 5km, Minori 1.8km, Ravello 7km, Positano 20km, Sorrento 39km, Naples airport 90km. Blue SITA busses cost about 1-2 euros, depending on destination. Stops are marked with a blue and white SITA sign. The small internal bus [orange mini-bus] of Positano is marked by a brown FERMATA sign. Driving times are: Ravello to Amalfi, 15 minutes; Amalfi to Positano, 30 minutes; Positano to Sorrento, 35 minutes.

Combination of two apartments:

Ceramica Terrace [200m2]: The apartment is accessed via 40 steps leading from the parking spot down to the entrance. The property is laid out over two levels and has a large wisteria-covered terrace with a pergola just outside the sitting room, ideal for al fresco meals. It consists of an independent entrance from the shaded terrace into a sitting room which leads to the kitchen. There is a large double bedroom with a window opening to the garden and en-suite bathroom. Three steps lead down to a twin bedroom [can be made into a double] with French doors opening onto a small terrace over the sea. Large living room with French doors opening onto a small terrace over the sea; bathroom and utility room in the hall.

Ceramica Balcone [200m2] Entrance at road level. Independent entrance leading to the large living room with dining area; well equipped and spacious kitchen with marble benches; large bathroom with tub; double bedroom with French doors opening onto a small terrace, en-suite bathroom with shower; twin bedroom [can be made into double] with French doors opening onto a small terrace equipped with garden furniture; bathroom with bath and shower in the hall.

Available Amenities: Telephone, washing machine, dishwasher, satellite TV with VHS, radio/cassette player, coffee maker, private sunbathing terrace and small plunge pool for children, available Sunday through Friday, accessed via 2 flights of stairs down to the platform that extends over large rocks, private parking.

Arrive & Relax: Stocked with enough food to get your group through Saturday night and Sunday, this property allows you to show up, drop your bags, and settle in without a hassle. No searching for a grocery store after that long flight, and no worrying about Sunday store closures. You can deal with the details later... after a meal and a good nights' sleep! Arrive & Relax provisions include:

* Dinner: Tomato sauce, olive oil, and pasta

* Breakfast: Fresh fruit, eggs, and corn flakes

* Lunch: Olives, cheese, prosciutto, and bread

* Beverages: Mineral water, orange juice, coke, milk, coffee, and wine [red and white]

* Extras: Sugar, salt, butter, jam, Nutella, napkins, and toilet paper

Extra Services: Maid service 4 hours midweek with change of linen on Saturday, extra hours on request about 10 Euros per hour.

  The Amalfi coast was wonderful. I think we chose the right time of year to go because the temperature ranged between 64-80 degrees F., and the traffic was not terrible. We drove our own cars as you know, and that could have been a problem.
  
  The view to the sea was just fantastic.
  
  The parking of the vehicles on the property.
  
  We visited Positano, Amalfi , Ravello, Minori, Maori and Pompeii to see the buried city. All of these places provided their own positive feelings about the trip and Pompeii gave us a good insight into a city that existed over two thousand years ago.

  Overall it was a wonderful week.
  
  The location was excellent, fabulous views, very spacious and attractive.
  
  There was an ant problem in the kitchen. The hotel next door had some noisy entertainment late at night.
  
  The surrounding towns Minori, Amalfi were lovely, fun to visit, good shopping and restaurants.

  We would rent this villa again.
  
  Location, location, location! Waking to the Mediterranean Sea; view from every bedroom window of the villa is impressive. The private concrete pad deck by the sea was most appreciated on weekends when the locals moved into our area on boats or foot. We were able to enter the water from our private steps and not have to worry about someone invading our space. The waterfall next to the villa was great entertainment watching young Italian kids challenging each other to jump from a higher point. We also enjoyed jumping into the waterfall pool. We had a tough time deciding whether to spend our downtime at the villa on our private deck by the sea or the beautiful patio overlooking the sea and the neighbors' lemon groves.
  
  Barking German Shepard dog next door and mosquitoes. Neighbors kept their dog in front fenced area by driveway and he barked constantly during the night. First few days were hot and humid, so there were mosquiteos. We purchased a fan for each of the four bedrooms to circulate air.
  
  The beauty of the Amalfi Coast and the proximity of towns from the villa. Easy drive to Amalfi, Maori and Ravello. Our group did the hike from Villa Ceramica to Ravello...straight up the mountain. Quite a workout but a fantastic view made it worth every step. Once you reach the center of Ravello you feel as if you just hiked to heaven. Attending a concert during Ravello's summer festival, usually late June - early September is a MUST. Breathtaking views set to enchanting music.

  It is a long walk down to the water, but the area has a lot of room. The plunge pool would be nice when it is hot, but it wasn't hot and it wasn't filled when we were there.
  
  The view is very nice and the villa has a huge amount of space which is nice when a number of people are traveling.
  
  It was unusually cold and rainy when we were at the villa. As a result, the natural coolness of the villa which is built into the side of the cliff was a negative. I imagine that this natural coolness is a positive when it is hot outside.
  
  The Amalfi Coast is incredibly beautiful and the people are very nice
