Additional Location Information
Minori, City of Tastes, is situated along a pleasant inlet in the heart of the Amalfi Coast. The town's strategic position allows for short excursions to many interesting places. Once an ancient holiday resort, Minori is the site of an ancient Roman maritime villa dating back to the 1st century CE; the ruins of the villa also house an impressive collection of many well-preserved paintings and mosaics. In the year 987, the town became the Episcopal seat, an honor held until 1818; overall, a total of 57 bishops had resided there. Not to miss are St. Trofimena's Basilica and the Church of St. Lucia & St. Nicola. The area is pleasant, warm and welcoming with easy access to the sea. The south-facing beach is sunny until late afternoon. Minori boasts excellent local cuisine and is especially famous throughout Italy for its delectable pastries. Plenty of open air cafés, tiny streets and piazzas await the curious visitor. Quaint mountain hamlets tucked away in the surrounding hillside can be reached by foot: Torre, Villamena, St. Nicola. Tourist services and resources: Pro Loco (local travel info), tour/travel agencies, local library with internet, bus tours and taxis. Public Transport: SITA Line, which goes through all the Costiera long.

La Zinefra is a beautiful apartment located in the heart of Minori. It is on the top floor so there are beautiful views in all directions. The apartment is spacious and airy with two bedrooms, one bathroom, large living/dining area and a small but pretty balcony, and a modern well equipped kitchen. I am writing this at La Zinefra while sitting in bed and looking out the large window at lemon trees growing up the steep mountain. Shops and restaurants are all within a few minutes walk. We recommend paying extra for parking as it would be a challenge to find a spot on your own.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Minori and La Zinefra. The calm and charm of Minori is absolutely fabulous, and the privacy and comfort of la Zinefra provided us with a perfect base and retreat each evening. Perhaps above all, our hosts made lots of effort to help us, made us feel welcome, and tolerated our fumbling attempts with Italian. Thank you anna (and Oscar).

La Zinefra exceeded our expectations. It had all we needed for a most comfortable stay. We prepared most of our meals in the apartment in an extremely well equipped kitchen. The bed was the most comfortable bed that we slept in during our whole long trip in Italy. We loved the view of the hills from the windows and balcony of the apartment - especially the twinkling lights of the houses scattered among the hills surrounding Minori.
We do look forward to returning to Minori and "La Zinefra"! -

Owner anna was exceptional at working with us to book our wonderful week on the amalfi Coast. La Zinefra is a delightful apartment in the heart of Minori. Great access to restaurants, transit and the beach made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. The apartment had all the amenities you need for an Italian holiday. The only downside is our holiday wasn't longer.

Very nice, relatively large apartment with astonishing view all around! Fascinating combination of 'old' (historical building) and 'new' (the apartment is very well equipped with truly everything you need). The apartment reflects the excellent taste and care for each detail of Mrs anna, the owner. Everyone we met was very kind, from the owners to the cleaning lady. They also gave us good advice about local shops, etc.
Very central location, convenient for the beach as well as for the shops. Also very close to good restaurants (e.g. Giardiniello). If you come by car you can also get a private parking place (price is reasonable) and this is not obvious in Minori or in another village of the amalfi coast.
We spent two relaxing weeks in this place and since then we are recommending it to our family and friends, in Italy as well as in Belgium, UK, etc.
I told Mrs anna to change the pictures on FlipKey: the apartment is 1000 times nicer when you see it! :-)
In concusion, we are still very enthusiastic about the beauty of the place, the comfort we found, the kindness and correctness of the owners. Everything went extremely well, from first contacts, to reservation, arrival, check in, stay and departure. Don't doubt: go there and check yourself! -

We stayed at La Zinefra in early September and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The place is lovely and is very well put together. Anna was a great host and Mr. Franco (who works with anna) was extremely helpful as well.
We would highly recommend Minori and La Zinefra when traveling through the amalfi Coast.
We have two little kids and La Zinefra was spacious and a great place to base our trip through the amalfi Coast.
Further, we are traveling for the next 2-3 years through Europe, Russia, the Middle East and South and Central america and La Zinefra is one of the best places we have stayed at so far.
Thank you anna for having us and for a wonderful time.
Sincerely,
The Rauch Family

Excellent response to initial querie and follow up. As advised, were met near the bus stop and walked the very short distance to the delightful old apartment building.
Easy access to the beautifully renovated apartment on the top floor (lift and some easy stairs). From the apartment there were views in each direction but our favourite was the outlook past the church bell tower, across the village to the surrounding hills covered in lemon groves.
Loved to admire this view, while the bells pealed which they did on the hour, during the day. The locals were extremely friendly and our Italian improved, especially while shopping for food. Minori is not a "tourist" town full of touristy shops but we loved being able to interact with the locals and get a feel for their lifestyle.
Catching buses to explore the rest of the amalfi Coast was easy although often they were crowded and the change at amalfi took a bit of getting used to because the buses were not well marked. We walked up the paths through the lemon groves to Ravello, a delightful way to spend an afternoon.

We were very pleased with our appartement La Zinefra in Minori.
It is very well equipped and decorated. We felt like we were home and had plenty of room for us and our family. It offers a view on the village, the surroundings and on the beach from the balcony.
It is in the heart of the village so minutes away from restaurants, bakery, coffe shop... and within 2 minutes from the beach.

We had a fortnights holiday in La Zinefra in late May. Anna and Mr Franco went out of their way to make us comfortable . The apartment was bright and clean and had everything we required to cook with and live comfortably. Minori is a lovely village and the local shops and restaurants sell good quality food and wine at reasonable prices. The apartment is well positioned in a central location with beautiful views from every window. We would return tomorrow if we could.

We stayed at La Zinefra for three weeks and loved Minori. The location of the flat and Minori were ideal for day trips to other lovely towns nearby while avoiding the hustle and bustle of larger centers . Mr. Franco services were most supportive and instrumental in our assimilating into the town and surrounding area . We would definitely consider staying here again upon our return. The addition of ample sundry items during the stay would have been a nice touch. Anna and Oscar were informative and fair to deal with.

Left on 05/08/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Anna was very friendly over emails and gave me a good feeling about booking the apartment. On our request they also gave us a very decent deal on the pricing. The apartment was at the centre of Minori - just 3.5 km from amalfi yet missing the tremendous touristy crowds of amalfi. Though this was the top most floor of the old building, it had a lift up to the 3rd floor making the climb much easier for my mother. The apartment was a beautifully appointed two bedroom place with a living dining and a kitchen, really big enough for 4 adults with even a couple of kids thrown in. The kitchen was well equipped with an oven and a dishwasher and a washing machine, and so a bit cramped. The only regret was that there was no place in the apartment where we we could sit and enjoy the great sea view, as the apartment opened to the sea side only in high windows. But the location of the flat was amazing with just a leisurely walk to the sea front and also all shops and the big cathedral clock just behind the apartment and with views to the hills. Also, I think they should have the very basic provisions like oil and salt etc., in the kitchen so that people do not have to buy huge bottles of stuff which they do not need when they travel. Anna, her husband and their manager was very nice, welcoming and helpful about the whole transaction, and all in all we had a very pleasant stay.

I don't know where to start. Two of us shared this two bedroom apartment. It is gorgeous with views of the ocean, community and mountains. It is central in Minori. Prior to arriving anna was warm and exceptionally helpful. We were met upon arrival by the building manager Frank who was invaluable. The apartment is in a historic building and on the top floor. If you can not do all of the stairs there is a lift that will reduce your climb to one flight. When the windows in the apartment are open a wonderful breeze keeps you cool (though there is air conditioning should you prefer). It was clean and bright. We loved being able to lean on the window sill or sit on the balcony and watch daily life go on. We enjoyed going to the small shops to buy our fresh ingredients to create our own occasional meals (though there are many wonderful places to eat in Minori). Thank you anna for everything. I hope to return again one day!

We were delighted with our 8 nights in Minori and wished we could stay longer!
The apartment is beautifully appointed.
Anna was so organized and welcoming prior to our arrival. It was so good to have details of the way we should travel from Naples.
We were met by anna's agent as anna was away that night and he was fantastic. Helped us with our luggage and showed us around the apartment and recommended some wonderful restaurants.
We loved our trips along the coast by boat and also the beach at Minori where we were also made to feel very welcome.
Minori is a beautiful place and we looked forward to returning to "home" after a busy day of touring! -

We arrived later than expected on fridasy eve, whereupon anna and Oscar greeted us with the keys and showed us around the apartment, they left us with some very helpful tips on where to go and the restaurants in Minori. Ravello is beautiful definatly worth a visit- but then so are many other places along the amalfi coast which were stunning. Capri also worth a visit. highly recommend apartment and Minori to stay.

Left on 08/29/2011 for a stay in June 2011
This is a charming Italian family house flat in an excellent location in amalfi coast.
The 3 rooms apartment is perfect for 4-5 people, who like to stay in privacy away from big touristic hotels. This is a top floor flat in an original Italian house with panoramic view to Minori. All needed equipment included in the kitchen and rooms.
The house is very closed to the ocean beach and main road, but in a silent street in the middle of Minori local life.
We bought some fresh italian food from small shops and made the most delicious breakfast in our own. It was the best starter for your day after morning swim. The Minori location is very comfortable for travelling arround by car (or bus) and making walking trips.
The owners speak fluent English, they are communicative and helpful in all problems you'ld have.
We higly recommend this place to these travellers, who like privacy, independence and comfort.

We fully enjoyed our stay in the apartement in Minori. We travelled with 3 kids and the village suited us well. Just near others places like Ravello, Amfali, Maiori you easily could reach by foot, bus or boat. The apartement location just near the beach, standard, comfort and service couldn´t have been better. We really recommend this accomodation !!!
