Casa Approdo is a gracious 35-square-meter (about 377 square feet) studio apartment which sleeps two people. It has a terrace overlooking the seascape. The studio is located in the center of Minori, 30 meters (about 98 feet) from the beach and the sea. It is only 4 km (about 2.5 miles) away from Amalfi.

There is a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower, and a living-room with a kitchenette. It is equipped with air-conditioning and winter heating.

Casa Approdo is on the first floor of a beautiful age-old house typical of the Amalfi Coast. It is located in Minori in a central area. In fact, it faces the main road of the place. From... its terrace you have a great view of the esplanade of Minori and the sea.

Minori is an enthralling small town close to Amalfi. It is nestled on a narrow valley which stretches up to the sea, where it becomes a bay in a crescent-moon shape.

The town of Minori is enclosed by the sea and rocky walls green in cultivations of lemon trees. The prevailing colors of such splendid panorama are the bright green of lemon orchards and the blue of the sky and the sea.

The sea and the large sandy beach of Minori are about 30 meters (approximately 98 feet) from the house. You can reach them on foot after going for a pleasant walk. On the beach, you will find bars and restaurants, and in case you want umbrellas and deck chairs, they are available for rental as well. The beach is framed by a long public garden (so-called Lungomare) which is a place where you can go for a stroll, sit at the tables of outdoor cafes, or even go shopping.

Minori is famous for its sweet specialties, and you have to try the candies and desserts of its pasticcerias (bakeries)!

You don’t need a car during your stay, but if you have one, you can book a pay parking space.

Shops, bars, restaurants, parking lots, and the port of Minori are just few feet away from the house. Staying at Casa Elia is ideal for those who wish to be right in the heart of all the tourist activities, close to the beach, public transportation, and shopping places. And last but not least, Casa approdo is perfect for those who don't mind staying in an area where there's traffic of cars and people!

You will reach Casa Approdo after climbing eight steps of an outdoor staircase which leads to the small terrace right in front of the house. You will enter a living-room illuminated by two high windows. In the living-room you will find a table, chairs, a couch, a satellite-dish TV, and a kitchenette. A sliding door divides the living-room from the bedroom, where there is a double bed. The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner stove, a fridge, and a small oven. The bathroom is equipped with a shower.

The house is completely furnished and pleasantly decorated.

Amalfi is about 5 km (about 3 miles) away, and Positano is 15 km (about 9.3 miles) away.

Minori is connected to other towns of the coast through buses of the company SITA. From the harbor of Minori, ferries leave to Salerno, Amalfi, Positano, Capri, Sorrento, and Naples.

Minori is the most ancient inhabited centre of the coast. Yet in the 1st century AD it was residence of roman aristocrats, and the Villa Romana, rich of mosaics, stuccos and frescos, witness the grandness of these people and the consideration that they had of this place.

Minori was an important arsenal of the Republic of Amalfi, and followed the same fate of the Republic also when it declined.

In the following century Minori started to become independent and to have its own economy.

The cultivation of lemons already introduced during the 10th century, the production of hand made pasta, considered the best in the hole reign, were the most profitable activities. The lemon trade is still today a very profitable activity, the variety of lemons called ‘Sfusato Amalfitano’ is partially exported and partially used to make the famous liquor ‘Limoncello’ of the Amalfi Coast.
The industry of hand made pasta was most flourishing till the past few decades, is now a tradition kept by the housewives. The famous ‘ricci’ from Minori, the ‘scialatielli’ and the ‘ndunderi’ are cooked according to ancient recipes, mainly during the local festivals and important occasions, and are traditions of a past that signs the history of a community.
