Description from the manager
Just below Ravello, this Amalfi Coast apartment has exclusive ocean access and three large terraces, as well as a small pool perfect for children. You will want to rent a car to make short drives to surrounding towns, where you can explore cafes, restaurants, and beaches. It is also possible to walk to Minori-- but be aware, this Amalfi Coast holiday accommodation is right on the water, which means everything is "up" from here! And don't worry about grocery shopping until you're ready... this apartment comes stocked with provisions for a couple of meals, so all you have to do is arrive and relax!

The property was certainly in a beautiful location. The structure of the house was very nice.
There was plenty of space and the view was fantastic. Great accessibility to the water.
The interior furnishings were a bit disappointing to us. We thought the beds and chairs were uncomfortable. The plunge pool would have been nice if it had water.
The beautiful scenery and the accessibility to historic towns: Ravello, Positano, Amalfi. -

The views are stunning. The area is quite beautiful. Never met the local rep....the owner was on premise and took care of all our needs. This is a great place for spending lazy days swimming at your private landing area and enjoying meals on the terraza. It's a laid back locale, far from the hustle of Positano, but exactly what we were seeking. Beautiful....highly recommend it!
The views!! The size of the apartment is surprising...it's huge. (Be aware that the apartment is one of four or five in the building and the common outdoor areas are shared....not a problem...the place is huge). RIGHT on the water...you probably can't get any place with better water access. Great swimming area! Nice veranda. Fully equipped apartment. Wonderful, warm and classy owner who was present during our rental period with two of her adult children who were also very kind and warm.
Ok, the rooster next door is a pain. Maybe it only bothers city folk like us that he sometimes starts to crow at 4:30am (not every morning) and does't stop unitl 9am or so. To be honest, there were times we seriously thought about finding and killing him. No joke. I guess that it's really not that bad after you get used to him. Some people wrote about bugs and mosquitos....when we went (mid-August) we didn't run into much of a problem. There were some, but, hey, you're right on the water and it's to be expected. Ah, the knick-knacks. Ok, there are a few too many. The owner, who is a wonderful woman, has amassed quite an extensive collection. Also, shower in the master bedroom is a bit tricky.
Close enough to walk to Minori, if you're not lazy (we were). Amalfi's nearby. There's fine dining at a place called Cap D'Orso. The bar/paninoteca across the street has pretty good food at night. Get yourself some handmade, fitted sandals in Maiori (first shoe store on your left as you enter town). -

Incredible setting.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the terrazza were the highlight.
There are mosquitoes in the evenings, but there are plug in mosquito repellents and coils to keep them away. As others have noted, there is a rooster(s) next door who does not have the best sense of time.
Hiking up to Ravello (1,312 steps!), walking into Amalfi, exploring the passageways, the Paper Museum, visits to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum. -

Surely the best views on the entire Amalfi Coast?! And with your own private patch of sea to swim in!
The views from every window were breath-taking - even from the shower! The property was clean, well-equipped and extremely spacious. We hadn't realised that there were also 2 balconies in addition to the large terrace - a bonus! Swimming off our own private sunbathing terrace every day was fabulous.
The ceramics EVERYWHERE. We were staying there with our 15 month old baby and had to move endless plates, tiles, ash-trays, etc for fear he would break them. Although Minori is certainly within walking distance, you do feel extremely vulnerable on foot as there is no pavement and drivers barely allow you an extra inch.
Very conveniently situated for the major sites, Amalfi, Ravello, Positano, Pompeii. Minori itself was delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed doing our food-shopping there. The fresh pasta maker is not to be missed! And all the locals were very encouraging about our feeble Italian! -

The views are spectacular, and this is a very large and comfortable property. There is easy access, via bus and rented scooter, to the many towns along the coast. (All of the old ladies in Minori did all of my grocery shopping for me, I needed only to point.)
The roosters next door. I will NEVER again drive that coastal road; I'll navigate, but someone else must do the driving.
Every turn had a view worthy of a postcard--really too beautiful. The seafood, the ceramics, the fine linens in Sorrento (the SITA bus will take you there). -

Don't let the initial view of the rear exterior of the property fool you. The good stuff is inside and facing the ocean!
The views, cleanliness, spaciousness, and location.
Access to the ocean needs maintenance. There are some early-rising roosters next door.
Close to Amalfi and Ravello; the scenery is marvelous. Loved watching the fishermen tending nets while having breakfast on the balcony. Beautiful sunrises over the mountains and gulf of Minori/Maori. Minori about 2 km away, but the only way to get their is via the coastal highway, which is a narrow, winding and busy. Small waterfall next to villa dropping into the ocean. Bring your snorkeling gear, water is beautiful! The paninoteca across the road has decent food and reasonable prices. -

Surrounding area was enjoyable.
The access to the ocean.
The overgrown vegetation and the fact that many things in the apartment were covered with sheets and other protective items. Also, the rep. didn't speak any English. It wasn't overly clean.
The towns of Ravello, Amalfi and Positano are nearby. -

This property was outstanding. It was better than advertised. Both the actual property owner and the local rental agent were helpful and attentive to our needs.
Location, location, location. The property is ideally situated for a visit to the Cositeria Amalfatani. Far enough away from the center of Amalfi to be out of the high traffic areas, but close enough to be central to virtually everything.
I really have no negatives about the property. The master bath is a bit small, but entirely useable.
The area is stunningly beautiful and the local population quite friendly. It seemed that we were able to mingle with the local population. -

Pretty and convenient setting, but too many knick-knacks, plastic covering all surfaces, and sheets thrown over furniture.
The view was beautiful, the location excellent, and private parking was a plus. We were able to swim in the Mediterranean from the rock platform. Villa was well-kept and clean.
Too many knick-knacks! Garden area is not maintained and could be beautiful. The swimming platform could use a ladder. The owner spoke very limited English (and we spoke limited Italian). We were only given one towel per person for the entire week rental.
Ravello is absolutely exquisite. Everything was within a short driving distance: Ravello, Minori, Amalfi, Vietri, Positano, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius - all very close. -

We loved the italian tile floors, large rooms, unbeatable view and position.
Loved the view, the cliffside position, the spaciousness of the rooms.
The dishwasher has a mind of its own and the electricity goes off at will.
We enjoyed Amalfi and Ravello, a steep climb but worth it.
