Fremantle, Western AustraliaBreathtaking location

What an amazing place to spend a few days or even a few weeks. We recently spent a few days here on a Europe vacation and really wished we had time to stay longer. The location is just beautiful, gorgeous scenery of the mountains and the lake is breathtaking at any time of the day.
The accomodation is very comfortable and very clean and infact feels like a home away from home. Fully catered kitchen to cook up the best gourmet meals. Bedrooms and bathrooms are large, elegant and comfortable, with a balcony to soak up the view. Bathroom has a great shower which in Europe with some bad water pressure it is so nice to have a hot shower with good water pressure!
A very nice family restaurant is located right next door. Such nice food and they also do really good Sunday lunches and pizzas if you don't feel like cooking, or even a gelato after dinner. There are shops a short walk in the near village were you can pick up all your supplies and many little spots all around the mountains so you can make lots of day trips during your stay. We visited a few and then also caught the train to Lucca for a day trip.
We would highly recommend staying here and again wish we had stayed longer. Enjoy. -

While staying at Casa dell'Angelo we found a home away from home.
It is not only super comfortable and very cool in a very hot day, it has the most
beautiful view of Lake Paradiso and the mountains without the need to leave home.
The house got everything so our stay was a very relaxing one.
We highly recommend Casa dell'Angelo to anybody wanting or needing a break away from the hassle & bustle of our daily lives.
To the owners Thank you for the loving care shown throughout your property.

Great location opposite a picturesque lake in a lovely village. The house is well appointed and very comfortable. You really feel like it is a home away from home. The serenity and beauty of the surroundings make it a truly relaxing place to be. Local amenities are very convenient, pizza place makes very delicious pizza and meals. Catholic Church is nearby. It is situated in a very peaceful locality and we thorougly recommend this rental for a truly enjoyable holiday. The local people are very friendly and helpful should you need any help

PistoiaA relaxing week
Left on 07/03/2010 for a stay in July 2010
An enchanting place to stay. The scenery is breathtaking, beautiful view of the lake from the balcony. The house has a nice homely feel about it, with all the comodities - lovely big kitchen with dishwasher, microwave oven, italian and american style coffee perculators. Two bathrooms, each with their own hair dryer.
I stayed here with my husband the first time in august 2009. It was a wonderfully relaxing week away from the hustle and bustle of city life and the stifling heat with beautiful sunny days spent sunbaking by the lake and even though it was in the full of summer, at night it was amazingly cool.
Loved it so much that we went back a couple of times this year with friends. The bedroom with the double bed couch is quite roomy, even with the couch bed pulled out. It was lovely to sit on the terrace admiring the view across the lake while having dinner in the evening.
The house was spotless and the caretaker Luciana and her daughter Francesca, very helpfull and accomodating.
Lovely pizza frome the restuarant next door even to take-away. Well stocked supermarket (Ecom) about 8km in direction of Piazza al Serchio (turn left when you get to the t-junction instead of right for Piazza al Serchio) otherwise there's the small supermarket in Gramolazzo - about a 10-15 min. walk or a couple of minutes in the car.
A car is an almost a must to get around as otherwise you have to rely on public transport, which we used a few times last year instead of the car. It was good in august but we discoverred that in off-peak periods the bus only runs three times a day, early morning (about 7am!), noon and in the evening round 6pm.
A lovely place to use as a base to explore and admire the beautiful small towns in the area. It is heaven if you want to spend a relaxing time away.

Perth, AustraliaTotally immersed in an italian community
Left on 06/27/2010 for a stay in May 2009
I stayed at the villa for 4 weeks in May/June of 2009 along with my wife and two children (11 and 14). The house is beautifully renovated with many comforts, whilst still maintaining its authentic and original feel. We had a great time in and around the lake and mountains nearby. We enjoyed exploring the many villages and back-roads (there are buses and trains but a car is by far the best way to get around), eating very well (and surprisingly cheap!), and occasionaly making our way to the main cities of Pisa, Florence, La Spezia, Cinque Terre and Parma all as day trips. We will go again.
