Ed communicated with us via e-mail to make the reservation, and allowed us to use paypal to make a deposit, which made us feel secure. He was helpful and pointed out the places of interest in the area, as well as the best local restaurants.
The Penthouse had a beautiful view, and it was in an excellent and safe location that was only 3 small city blocks from the ocean. If we ever go back to Miraflores or the Lima area, we will definitely be staying here again.

A group of 6 of us stayed at this property and loved it. The property itself is super nice and we were so relieved (after doing the Inca Trail + Machu Picchu + Amazon Jungle) to have unlimited hot water, washer/dryer, and all other amenities!
We especially appreciated the owner. He was there upon our arrival (no waiting time at all) and gave us a walkthrough of the penthouse. Additionally, he gave us recs on which areas we should check out for shopping, dinner, nightlife, etc. Upon check out, the owner went out of his way to coordinate/negotiate last minute taxis for our big group.Response from Miraflores Oceanview Penthouse - 11/27/2012

This apartment was the perfect spot for us to stay while in Lima for a wedding. I was travelling with my wife and 7 year old son and needed a place with plenty of room in a safe part of town. Ed was there to pick us up from the airport at 2 am and graciously gave us a walking tour of the area the next day we would know where to shop, dine and bank. We enjoyed having plenty of room, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. Best of all was the fabulous terrace. We were in town for a wedding and after the ceremony hosted a small reception for the bride and groom. We had people from England, USa, and residents of Lima and all were impressed with the great views. I highly recommend this apartment

Couldn't have been better!!! The rooftop deck had stunning views of the sunsets and of the entire city. The bed's were very comfortable and the place was very clean when we arrived. Plenty of towels to keep fresh and having a washer/dryer was really nice. The area was very safe and a short walk to some great restaurants, grocery store and parks. Ed was a great host and was a really great guy in general to deal with, very accommodating. If I ever visit Lima again I would definitely stay there! We spent most of our time at the condo having Pisco sours on the rooftop! Thanks Ed

We spent a week in January in  the perfect place in Miraflores, split by a trip to Machu Picchu .  The apartment is located right in the middle of everything- we could walk to restaurants, ancient ruins, parks, shopping and bodegas.  Having a kitchen available was a plus, as was more than one bathroom.  We were treated to killer views from the terrace, the sunsets are unbelievable!  But most of all, Eddie and Dennise were great.  One of our group was late reaching Lima and had missed her flight to Machu Picchu-- he made sure she was taken care of, treating her like family.  We would love to visit Peru again, and a stay here would be a must. -

As a frequent traveller who uses apartment vacation rentals, it is extremely rare to find a situation in which there isn't at least one problem with it. Well, in this apartment I have found such a place. The location, in the center of Miraflores, the nicest part of Lima, couldn't be better. The apartment was clean with plenty of room, comfortable beds, and a very cool rooftop terrace for parties, barbeques, romance or sunbathing. The owner responded to all questions and issues within minutes. I will definitely stay here again.

I've stayed at this apartment several times. I go to Lima for business. It is very convenient, close to all the most important places in Lima. It is very comfortable and has nice views of the city. The owner is very nice and reliable and always keeps the apartment in great condition. I recommend this place for anyone traveling to Lima.

This was a very conveniently located apartment.A coat of paint on the walls is very much needed.Overall ok . Noise level is high on the side of master bedroom. ( street traffic).

Thank you for your response! Both Dennise & I agreed with your thoughts and have recently initiated some major changes! We have since had the wood floors throughout the penthouse refinished. New furniture in the dining room, repainted the apartment. We now feature Rosen Mattresses in the two primary bedrooms as well as 400-500 thread count imported bed linen. If you look at the new photo's you will see what we have done for the rooftop terrace. After all the the views from up there are nothing short of Spectacular and the reason this is the "Most Coveted Rental in Peru"!

Great two level penthouse in excellent location. The rooms are a bit small and as with most apartments in Lima the windows do not keep out street noise because they are single pane and don't close with a tight seal. Because Lima get's near zero rain each year and the temperatures are relatively mild, windows are like this in most homes and appartments. In a busy part of town like Miraflores, you get a lot of street noise except between Midnight and 6 am. There was some issue with the wi-fi but the owner was great about responding to my call for help and he walk through the process to get it to work. For a place that is fairly expensive, the bedding and pillows were not quite as nice as I would have wanted but everything was clean and certainly acceptable.

We stayed in this penthouse for a week. It was very comfortable and we appreciated the internet service and american TV for our teenagers. The location is great for shopping in a large mall or in local stores. It is also located near restaurants and the grocery store. We felt safe waling in the evening without concern. The owner was a very gracious host and helped whenever we had questions.We would stay at this location in the future. Thanks Eddie.

Great location,great views and the owners were a pleasure to deal with. I had an early flight (arrived 4:30am) and Ed was there at 6am to let me in and show me around. Great restaurant next door that delivers! Spent many an romantic evening drinking wine and watching the Sunsets over the Pacific ocean.

I have had the pleasure of staying at this apartment on several occasions.It was clean,comfortable and beautifully furnished. The owner was a pleasure to deal with. The view's from the terrace were to die for.I have recommended it to all my business associates as it is about a 1/3 the price of a suite at the Marriott and a lot more private!
