Overall, nice place well furnished, well stock kitchen, etc. Unit is on the second floor in the best building of the complex with good view of ocean. Close to pool. quick walk across the street (at nice cross walk) to the ocean. Only down side was the cable internet (not wireless) did not work, so we had to go to nearby McDonald's for wifi. I would stay there again.

re maravilla unit 2205. here are a few things that need to be fix in the condo. the dryer does no work. the toliet in the master bedroom does not flush. the coffee pot need replace.

Condo was dirty and out-dated. Toaster did not work. Balcony door took 2 people to open or close. Dryer had to be ran several times to dry a load of clothes. Patio furniture was rusted. Couch was stained and sofa bed, which we were depending on, was broken. Full bed does not sleep 2 as advertised. Stairs going to the beach have been extended but hand rail had not. Very difficult for my grandmother as was the door to the balcony that she could not even open on her on. We love Maravilla but will return to the other unit we have rented in the past.

Destin provides a wonderful relief from the hassles of the real-world! After leaving the frantic pace of the work-world, I escaped with my little four-legged friend to the advertised "pet-friendly" condo. I had originally scheduled to travel with a good friend recuperating from a recent auto accident (thus the two bedroom) but he was unable to join due to a doctor's hesitation at the ten hour drive. Great view; wonderful location; and, some wonderful sunshine! The week ended with the appearance of five dolphins frolicing in the gulf, just 100 yards off shore.
When you go, be sure to visit the original Dewey Destin's place on Calhoun for a great meal -- don't look for linen tableclothes (they are looking for votes as the "dive of the decade," but the shrimp and hushpuppies are absolutely wonderful.
I can't wait to return with my wife (who was on a trip with her dad) and to do a bit more of the "vacation stuff" - bike / scooter / three wheeler rentals are close-by and the condo unit has an exercise facility and a pool on site. Destin is mid-way between Pensacola and Panama City but leaves those locations for the college kids. Looking for a relaxing retreat? Try Destin!! -

Our family was looking for a place to have a mini-vacation over the Labor Day weekend. We stumbled upon Maravilla, owned by Jeanne LeMoine. The condo was perfect for our family of four. The 2nd floor balcony view was fantastic! Kitchen was adequate, although we didn't cook. Bathrooms were adequate. Pool out front was perfect. We did not venture to the 2nd pool at all. Beach access was very easy. Luggage carts were a pleasant surprise. We checked in after midnight and Jeanne was very willing to work with us. It was a perfect vacation at a perfect place. And, the price was right.
