I would recommend edgewater 301 to anyone who desires a clean, peaceful, and fun filled stay in Destin. Peering out at the beautifully landscaped scene to an ocean that is vast was one of my favorite memories. Having a secure mind of knowing that since this condo is a gated resort we allowed our daughters the freedom to enjoy the amenities. Playing basketball, swimming in one of the two pools, and beach access only lists a few of the activities that we participated in. I will no longer fret on the idea of where to stay in Destin. I have found my home away from home in edgewater 301 as long as the Lord allows!

The service at compass resorts was fantastic, very helpful and accommodating! The condo- building, location, unit, amenities...absolutely perfect! We are a family of 5. We have a 12 & 10 year old boys and an 8 year old girl so the 2 pools, hot tub, basketball court, playground, grassy areas, and being on the beach were a huge hit. Also I liked being gated in and on the smaller side, I was very comfortable with the kids playing basketball while I was at the pool or beach. The kids were able to have a little freedom and I didn't have to worry. Love the key pad on the condo door rather than a key!!! The kids could go to the room by themselves without a worry! The building and grounds were always clean, everything about this location was superior! Our unit was perfect as well, very comfortable and I loved being on the 3rd floor. The view from the balcony is unbelievable and you can see the pool, basketball court, and playground! The only thing we found negative was the pipes were loud, if someone upstairs was showering you heard the water through the pipes, we left the fan on the furnace running and that solved the problem. We didn't need the air conditioning much as the was an amazing breeze! Also, we sat on the balcony in the morning and watched the dolphins swim by! We cannot wait to vacation there again, all of my kids said they would rather go there than Disney!

Everything was fine once the tropical storm Lee left. The facility was really nice and everyone was great. My only complaint about the unit was the carpet needed to be replaced. I did not feel comfortable walking around barefoot.

We stay in Destin 2-3 trips a year for an average of about 30 days every spring / summer. This had to be the most average place we have ever stayed in.
We asked the rental company could we even pay more to move to a nicer unit even in this building (which we weren't crazy about either)...
Their response was we could pay for the nights we had stayed and the cleaning fee then find somewhere else on our own. -

The location was great, especially with a one year old! We arrived after hours and had trouble finding the place. W called the after hours number and no one answered. So needless to say we drove around clueless for sometime until we found it on our own! But once there our first reaction was wow! So thanks for the stay, we will def be in touch again!
