At The Tides @ Tops’l. If you’ve never made your way to Tops’l you don’t know what you’re missing. This place has everything. Beautiful beach. In fact rated best by Southern Living. And if you can’t trust them who can you trust. Incredible views. Close to golf. And world class tennis. Can you imagine? All that in one place.
The Tides are part of Tops’l Beach & Racquet Resort which is smack dab in the middle of 52 beautifully landscaped acres bordered by the Gulf of Mexico and by Topsail Hill State Preserve. WOW! There’s 600 feet of private, sandy white beaches. There’s a ton of stuff to do here,... with the daytime activities and nightlife of neighboring Sandestin and other noted communities to the west, and a nature preserve for quiet and solitude to the east. Tops'l provides the best of both worlds.
And for you tennis nuts, Tops'l has been ranked "A Top 50 US Tennis Resort" by Tennis Magazine for 12 years running and most recently by Tennis Online as a "Top 10 Tennis Resort in the Entire World". How about that?!? And Tops'l has extensive amenities available for a daily fee (not included with the condo rental) such as fitness facilities including 12 Rubico clay courts, a world class fitness center, aerobics classes, racquetball court, basketball courts, heated outdoor and indoor pools, a putting green, shuffle board and nature trails for walking, jogging and biking. You’ll also find The Ocean Club Restaurant, The Sandbar, The Pavilion Grill and Bar, the Pro Shop, Snowbirds Club, Kid's Club. And here’s some good news. There’s kids’ programs offered each day during the season. Plus, Tops'l has a Tram Service to transport you and family members in and around the resort grounds.
And if that weren’t enough, Silver Sands Outlet Mall, one of the largest in the US, is less than 5 minutes away. Sandestin's popular Baytowne Wharf is just across the street to the west with shops, excellent restaurants and entertainment on the bay. Concerts on Wednesdays and family movies on Thursdays are popular family outings on the lawn at the Wharf. Sandestin's recently developed Grand Boulevard Town Center, nearby to the east, has upscale shopping and many excellent restaurant options. There’s so much to do here you won’t be able to fit it into a week’s vacation. So stay two! That’s what I’d do.
Here’s the scoop on your Tops'l Tides Sandestin Vacation condo.
This place is gorgeous. Big and beautiful. And it’s got really cool views. Because of where it’s located you not only get the beach/gulf view, you can see way down the beach from your balcony. How cool is that!?! Plus, it’s got really interesting décor. And, it really makes the most of the room in every room. There’s plenty of space for all your beach stuff, but that’s not why you’ll pick this condo. It’s got great views. Plain and simple.
The LIVING ROOM sofa opens up as a queen sleeper. There’s a big flat screen TV, and don’t forget the DVD player lets you play movies when you’re beached out. Or, surf the net with the high speed connection. But, I gotta tell you, the views are gonna make all that pretty tough. You’re eyes will wonder to the beach every time. You’ll like the balcony, too. It’s really bit and comfortable. And the views, The views. Hey, bring binoculars. You might catch the dolphins jumpin’ in the water. That’s always fun.
The MASTER BEDROOM got a huge king size bed. And the bed’s really comfortable. I laid down on it to see how it felt. Almost went to sleep. The room’s really spacious. Plenty of closet space. There’s another pretty big TV and a DVD player.
The 2nd MASTER has 2 Doubles! How about that!?! And it’s really roomy.
The KITCHEN’s open and has everything that you need, so no matter whether you’re cooking your specialty or just fixing grilled cheese sandwiches you’re set. There’s a big kitchen bar with four bar chairs so you can grab a quick bit before you hit the beach.
The DINING AREA has a nice sized table, really comfortable so e

This is the second year in a row we have stayed with Tides at Tops'l in Destin. We used a 3 bdr last year and a 2 bdr this year. We cannot say enough about the enjoyment we have had staying at this property. Three big factors that contributed to our enjoyment: the condo itself, the location, and the very friendly management team that helped us with anything that we needed.
The two full beds in the 2nd bdr need new mattresses but other than that, fantastic stay both years.

The community and location were terrific! The condo needs some updating though. The carpet smells aweful! It was cleaned while we were there and it helped some but it was still pretty smelly. The TV in the family room is older and is going out- you can't see the picture during the day. The children's room television is on it's last legs as well. The condo could use a good cleaning- there were smears on the wallpaper in the master bathroom next to the toilets and sinks that were pretty gross. Also, the cleaning company should be checking lightbulbs. Several were out that we changed while there. The kitchen glasses shoud also be restocked- several are missing so you have to drink from coffee mugs.

We have stayed at the Tides many years using ResortQuest checkin/checkout were easier with best beach, but everything else was is inconvenient to have to use a credit card rather than charge to the room for resort amenities. it was very inconvenient when my son tried to use the fitness center to the point he couldn't use it.The decor of our room was NOT beachy it did not create a relaxed beach environment, the kitchen was inadequadate. The main TV was outdated. The room decor-colors wallpaper ect were actually depressing
This is the third year we have stayed at Tops'l Tides and we love it. The facilities are great, the beach is wide roomy, and the water is just beautiful. This is the ideal place to stay - close to everything we want to do, but out of the worst of the Destin traffic. Over all the rental unit was fine. It was cleaner than my house and the furniture and beds were quite comfortable. The view of the gulf was very nice and the unit was low enough that we could hear the surf. We got to see two weddings - watched the brides walk out the boardwalk to the beach - so sweet. There were some minor issues with the condo that could be easily remedied. The light in the guest bath shower area had such small wattage bulbs, you felt like you were showering by nightlight - makes it hard to shave your legs. There was a burned out bulb in the master bath. The cushions on the porch furniture were mildewed - they should be completely discarded or replaced. There was a shortage of glassware in the kitchen - There were only 3 wine glasses, not enough juice glasses, and really not enough bowls. If eight people stayed in the unit they would have to take turns using the dishes. The first glass we took out of the cabinet was cracked and chipped - a child in a hurry could have gotten a pretty bad cut using it. Just one more thing - usually a packet of laundry detergent for a single use is provided with the washer and dryer. It sure would have been nice to have that to run a load of bath towels during the week. Like I said, all of these things are minor - just items that I felt you should know about. We had a wonderful vacation and look forward to staying at The Tides again.
WE were very happy with our stay. THe only negatives were as follows: Master bathroom had a strong cat urine smell, but within an hour the carpets were cleaned in the bedroom and bathroom and we never smelled it again. The dryer was very loud, but worked. And the kitchen needed cookie sheets and a pizza cutter.
THe positives are as follows: Great location-I could watch my kids at the pool from our deck and the view was beautiful! Loved being close to the stairs so we didn't have to wait on the elevator. Loved having the master bedroom up front with a view. Very clean. Tops'l is a favorite of ours. Love the location because it's not too busy. The guest room also has 2 double beds, so we were able to take friends for the kids!
We loved our stay and would probably stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay at The Tides at Tops'l. The unit is funished very nice. The view from the balcony is beautiful, even though the palm trees block part of the view. We only have 2 complaints. The master bathroom floor was not the cleanest. It needed to be swept. And we were disapointed that we could not play raquetball. We were told since we booked the unit through My Vacation Haven we were not eligible to use the raquetball facilities. We thought we would be able to purchase an amenities card to allow us to use the court, but that was not the case. So we stayed at a raquetball resort but were unable to play raquetball. We still had a wonderful time as the weather was perfect and the white sandy beach is beautiful.
