This is the second time we stayed at this condo. We love the location it is nestled between the pools and the ocean. Love the chair and umbrella set up and private beach. It is located just enough out of downtown Destin to avoid the rush & traffic but close enough to enjoy the local activities within a couple minutes.

The last time we had been to Destin was in 2008. We have always used Southern Resorts for our rentals and we have stayed in some great homes and also in Maravilla where we stayed this time. We stayed for two nights with the air conditioning not working properly and always shutting off. The sofa bed was broken and you actually could not sat on it without everyone caving to the middle. When we pulled it out on the second night because the hall bunks were too hot to sleep in we discovered the springs and plastic to be broken so as not to hold the mattress part up. Also, we had ants all over the kitchen counter every morning. They seemed to be coming up between the stove and the cabinet. I did make a call to the office and the air was fixed and they brought us an air mattress to sleep on. The air mattress was better however we had to run to the store and purchase 4 D batteries just to blow it up, which costs us about $8. The ants continued til the day we left. We will return to Destin next year but don't think we will try this condo again.

Weather mostly raining and cloudy while I was there, but enjoyed anyway. The unit was nice, and the location was excellent. Easy access to everything I wanted to do.

We loved this location! Perfect for a relaxing beach vacation. We love the Emerald Coast Beaches and here at Miramar Beach, it was wonderful. Not too touristy with souvenir shops on every corner, but they were close enough to go grab new beach towels and boogey boards for the kids!
We love staying in condos and this one was nice and comfortable. We enjoyed our coffee out on the patio every morning before hitting the pool or beach. The "jack and jill" type 1 1/2 baths was a nice feature. The only caveat was the toilet in the front bathroom didn't always flush correctly so it needs some attention. -

We stayed for 19 days and had a wonderful time. We loved the pools and the beach was amazing. I downgraded check-in because we were not given the door code and didn't have a key waiting (turns out we should have been given a code). When I called for this and a couple other minor reasons, they were always extremely helpful. My only other "wish" would be for you to upgrade the TV...in this day and age you could get a pretty cheap TV with an Hdmi input that would have increased our entertainment options. Overall, great experience, thank you!

The condo was wonderful. Exactly as pictured on the web site and sparkly clean. We appreciated all the little touches like a small bottle of dish soap and a nice supply of towels. We had everything we needed and more. The community is gated and is lovely. A short (maybe a city block) walk to the beach, where there were always chairs and an umbrella waiting for us. Southern Rentals was easy to communicate and work with and I would definitely rent from them again and recommend them to others.

Walk right across the street the to beach, we had complimentary umbrella and chair service, nice hose/wash off stations at the entrance...could park right in front of your condo, two pools...the kids loved it. We were close to so much. It was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the first floor and being able to sit on the patio and relax.

We truly enjoyed our stay and that we were able to have our little dog with us. We hope to come back some day.
My only minor complaints are these two: The keyless entry system was sometimes difficult to use. Also, having to be totally cleared out and cleaned up by 10 a.m. on the day of departure was a major challenge. Maybe 10:30 or 11 a.m. would be a more workable departure time.
That said, it was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience overall. We'd love to do it again.

We loved the condo. Wish only that it had been closer to the beach to hear the ocean. We booked at last minute. It was a great place to stay and realy close to everything that we wanted to do. Southern Resorts was great to work with.

My family had a wonderful time in Destin staying in Maravilla. The keyless entry worked great, the condo was clean, the beach was awesome & we really appreciated having an umbrella & chairs evey day. We enjoyed being close to the pool. We had a great vacation & will come back.

Unit 4108 - Nice unit,was clean. However, the ants decided to join us for our stay. Told agent about the issue and was told a work order would be created and someone would call and make appt. to come and fix the problem. I gave them my cell #, and to date have still not rec'd a call. Had unpacked groceries and put away, went to beach, and came back to find our tiny friends enjoying fruit on the counter. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay - also, need ladder or some way of getting the kids in the top bunk bed.

Our family stayed in unit 4108 that was noted pet friendly on the internet and also on the litature inside our condo. A maintenance man entered our room while we where not there and reported that we have a dog in the condo. We were then told by management that the condo we were staying in was not pet friendly and we were charged 200.00. We will never use Southern Resort again.

I have been unable to find any documentation reflecting your statement that we advertise this condo as being pet friendly. If a guest decides to bring their dog and stay in one of our designated pet friendly rentals they are required to let us know and pay the $200 pet fee. Since we found the dog we charged you the pet fee of $200 and used this money to do a deep clean on the property when you checked out to make it suitable for our next renters.

Destin is a place we have never been, and while we were excited for Christmas on the beach there, we were a bit concerned to rent off of a website. The condo was well-maintained and outfitted, clean and definitely met our needs. The one and only downside was the noise: the building was not well-insulated and we could hear the people upstairs. We did not expect to be on the beach, but the proximity made it easy to spend time there. I would return to this property again.

We had a great time. Our condo was conveniently located to the pool and was only a short walk to the beach. Maravilla is a very quiet resort and was very family friendly. I would definitely go back again.

Condo was very nice, just as it appears in the web photos. Only complaint is that the electrical outlets in the bedroom and bathroom were loose and had to hold the cords to keep them from fall ing out. Also, the sweeper smelled terrible and had not been emptied for quite some time.

We enjoy staying at Unit 4108 because we can bring our dogs and it is right on ground level. Would be nice if you had a 2 bedroom on the ground level that accepts dogs.Please let me know if one is available.
