This unit was nice and the location was perfect; however, more attention should be given to the cleanliness of the bathrooms. The shower curtains need to be washed and the liners need to be replaced. Also,

This condo slept 6 people great! The room was really quiet, didn't have noise from the neighbors. The pool was very nice and the beach is right outside the door. The kitchen is also very well stocked and we cooked in 75% of the time we were there. Also, there is a seafood place next door called Rick's that has some great seafood! Amazing specials on shrimp and oysters. Thanks for a great vacation!

It was so easy to set up, plan and to get into the condo. The man at the desk gave us several names of great places to eat and was very pleasant. The view was breath taking. The rooms were clean and we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay, just fabulous. The kids had an awesome time, both at the condo and the beach. The view from the balcony was absolutly stunning. After our return my wife immediately booked for the following year!!! Lol

Love this place. close to everything. 5 min to food, outlets,scooter rentals. seconds from the beach. The only thing I needed and didn't have was a can opener, but I improvised!

great location. just couple minutes to walk to the beach. However, if there is one absolute things needed to change is the king matress. It is the worst and most horrible matress i ever slept in. I felt like that I would sunk to the bottom of the floor as I lay in the bed. The matress must be 20yrs+. Please have it change if you want more customer to stay there. Overall, the beach view from the balcony is a plus, w/ the location as well. Conviennent to everywhere you want to go.

We could not have had a better experience! The condo was beautifully decorated and furnished. It was clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony was amazing! The convenience of the keyless check-in was excellent. I did much research before choosing this condo, and it was the best value as well. I would highly recommend it.

The condo unit itself was well kept- great big tv- well stocked kitchen! Wonderful views of the Gulf in the morning. Our biggest issues were with where to park; we were never provided this information on where to actually turn into the property. Had to call 800 number in order to get this info while sitting at a gate. There were no sheets provided for the pullout sofa; fortunately we were travelling with other families and they had extra set we could borrow. Didn't like that there wasn't a Southern Resort representative at the desk in the lobby to answer questions or issues that arise. The microwave was broken for the first two days; the DVD player in the 2nd bedroom didnot work (no instructions left w/any tvs on how to use the DVD players). Again, had their been representatives on site this would have been helpful. Also, codes were needed to get into/out of the pool gates; we had to gleen these off of other guests so we could have full access to facilities. One time use of supplies for a week's worth of stays; one garbage bag; no hairdryer; no coffee filters, paper towels, hand towels for bathrooms, 2 dishwasher tabs, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom is not enough for a week for a family of 6. At $140 per night I expect to have an adequate supply of these items.

Pros: Plenty of space to stretch out; plenty of towels & bed linens; kitchen had everything necessary to eat-in and utensils/china were in good shape; patio looks out at ocean; check-in was a breeze since it's keyless entry which is also a plus & makes keeping up with keys a non-issue; can easily walk to the beach. Cons: cleanliness was lacking in areas (silk plant in bathroom had layers of dust on it, couches looked grimy & unsanitary though this was how the couches also looked in other rooms in the Majestic that we saw); got different answers on details by phone which was stressful; after-hours service is apparently not 24 hrs-had difficulty reaching anyone on the customer svc line when locked out of room. Overall it was decent for the price, but I wouldn't pay in-season prices for this place.

The check-in staff was friendly, the location was unbeatable, and the decor was cheerfully beachy. The keypad entry was extremely user friendly--no more keeping up with keys! Unfortunately, the kitchen faucet had hot and cold water hooked up backwards, but we adjusted quickly. The amenities were also abundant (paper towels, dishwashing detergent, bathroom soap, etc.)compared to the last rental company we booked with!

Reserving the condo was simple and easy. Working with the owner made it very simple, however once we arrived at the resort there were conflictions in processes we needed to take for check in as well as simple things such as parking passes since we were turned over to a managment company instead of the owner helping us. We found the room in ok condition, but the upkeep was not very modern and housekeeping had not done a very good job of keeping things clean. Sheets on sofa couch had sand on them as well as the extra blankets in the closets. The carpet had lots of stains on them and the couch was very dirty. We have rented from many owners and found that it is much easier to rent from an owner direct rather than being routed to a management company as we were with this one. As far as the resort itself, the pool was wonderful and the access to the beach was great. Although it was across the street from the resort, it did not create any problems for us. The sense of security also made us feel safe and the use of entry codes rather than keys was very helpful and we liked it instead of having to keep up with a key while enjoying our vacation.

Lovely place, good location. Only problem was the pool attendant. We realize she is responsible for monitoring pool use, however she was very unpleasannt /RUDE to my teen agers. They could not even pass thru the pool area on way to the beach without her making them WALK AROUND THE COMPLEX because they were not wearing wrist bands. Even on the 3rd day, when she surely recognized them. One instance they were dressed going to dinner and were just going to get our stuff from the beach, obviously NOT swimming.
The fact that you have attendant would deter non residents from entering. She did not have to be so rigid.
Hot tubs were not working 1st 2 days.
Checking out was difficult because the CLEANING CREWS used all the carts, that should be reserved for residents.Response from Southern Vacation Rentals - 04/12/2010

The Majestic Sun #705A was very nice. The condo overall was clean and exactly as shown. The only negative was the sofa and loveseat needed to be cleaned. October was a great time to visit - still warm enough to enjoy the Gulf and use the outdoor pool! The view was fantastic!

Southern Resorts is the very BEST when it comes to service; they are unlike any other company I have ever dealt with. When they say they care, they absolutely mean it. The unit was very clean and had many little "extras" that would have required a trip to the store to purchase. All pertinent information was readily available as well as the necessary pool tags and parking passes. I would highly recommend Southern Resorts and this particular unit to anyone who is considering a vacation trip to Destin

We stayed here over Labor Day Weekend and we had a wonderful stay in this condo. The decor is very nice and the beds were comfortable. The view from the balcony is amazing and we sat out there every morning having our coffee. The condo could not have been any more perfect. Its close to Win-Dixie and Publix, Silver Sands,and Baytowne Wharf. The only negative was that the chair rental company charges $40/day to rent an umbrella & 2 chairs. Nonetheless, it was great staying just steps to the beach, close to restaurants and shopping. The pool is nice as well which have showers to rinse off from the beach.

This place was well maintained and beautifully decorated. The view from the balcony was magnificent. I had to fight the urge not to sleep out there. Everything we needed for the vacation was right there in that condo. It really was not lacking anything. The beach was right across the road. It was perfect. I have to say above all else the view is what I loved most. I would stay there with my family again anytime. We never felt crowded or on top of eachother. Really I would recommend this place to everyone!

We stayed at Majestic Sun and it was great. We have not had a bad experience yet. The condo was just as described in the pictures we saw of it. It was very clean and furnished beautifully. The view we had was awesome. All we had to do was walk across the street to the beach. We love it there and plan on going every year. The Southern Resorts rental was very accommodating, very friendly and left us feeling like we were special. Thank you for a great summer vacation.

We recently stayed at Majestic Sun (705A)for our children's fall break. We highly recommend the Destin area in early October, because the crowds are gone but the weather is still so nice. We've stayed other places, but chose Majestic Sun (through Southern Resorts) for the ocean view and the indoor/outdoor pool. We made good use of the indoor pool on the rainy day and in the evenings.
The condo was nice and we would stay there again. However, it was somewhat "dated" and needed a thorough cleaning. The grout in the tile in both bathrooms and floors had mold/mildew. The remote controls were either missing batteries or didn't work and the hot water in the kitchen was "switched" with the cold. We called Southern Resorts to report this and someone was at our condo within 3-4 hours. :) While they gave us new remotes, they just told us to remember that "hot is cold" in the kitchen. After I had cleaned what I could, we were able to enjoy the condo.
Again, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Majestic Sun to anyone!
