Condo had everything we needed for a great week. Went in October so no beach service but we had pool and hot tubs almost all to ourselves. The proximity to the beach was great. Would definitely consider staying here again.

The beach and water are pristine. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the area. It's important to note that this is not in Destin, but rather in a more upscale town next to Destin. You can easily get to the tattoo parlors, quick-e marts and t-shirt shops in Destin if that's your thing, but Miramar Beach is much more residential without all of the excessive tourist traps.
The condo is great...very spacious with lts of nice creature comforts. The view of the gulf from the 12th floor is fantastic and very relaxing. However, I honestly feel that we paid too much for our stay. After fees and taxes, we paid $2,900 which was discounted by $600! I suppose that if people are willing to pay that amount, then I'd probably charge the same rates. However, I wouldn't return to this unit at that price. It's probably a $2,200 unit at best. Live and learn, I suppose.
Regardless of price, we had a great time. We have great memories of playing in the pool, building sand castles and snorkeling out to the sand bar with our 7 & 10-year-old daughters looking for tiny shelled crabs, sea slugs and sand dollars, which were all abundant.
Overall, we were pleasantly surprised, but we likely won't return, as we normally like to mix up our vacation experiences. -

The view was incredible,The condo was beautiful and very roomy. We spent most of our time there on the balcony, listening to the waves from the ocean. I just can't say enough good things about our stay.Only that I know we will be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Nice comfortable, clean, open area condo. Individual rooms & baths organized and decorated well.(Not gaudy) All amenities functioned (Washer/Dryer/Blender/TVs/Fans/AC..etc)
Beautiful view of the beach.
Parking was a bit of a hassle-perhaps we just didn't figure it out. Security guards offered little confidence - we never used the parking pass or pool bracelets. Elevator stopped working while we were on it - power outage?.. took about 10 minutes before it settled to a floor and opened the doors. They sprayed pesticide in the condo during our stay. We traveled with an infant and that was disconcerting. We had no choice but to endure the exposure.

Beautiful view. Have stayed in the same area before and like it. There was a problem with the sofa sleeper, it is broken. Housekeeping left article of clothing (underwear) of previous vistors in a chair.
Our overall trip was great and would stay there again. -

The location directly on the beach was precisely what our family was looking for, and the condo was tastefully decorated. I appreciated the personal touch of having the owner's family photos in the condo and getting a chance to talk to them before staying there.

My friends and I had a fabulous time in this unit at
the Majestic Sun. The view was spectacular-we
loved sitting out on the balcony and listening to
the ocean.
Destin is a great beach city-even off season.
We all want to make this an annual trip! -

The home was nice but basic. The electronics were very out dated. There was no ice maker in the ice box. The only DVD player was in the living room the bedrooms all had VHS. The remotes for the tv's were all universal and did not work properly. The balcony was a little small and the design of the building actually made it very unprivate. The beach area was shared by the entire resort and became very crowded.

A wonderful condo with plenty of room and comfortable accommodations. Beautiful gulf view from balcony. Very convenient to everything in area. My husband and boys golfed right there behind condos at the Seascape Golf Resort and the Regatta Golf Resort which was very close to condo. Outlet mall is not but 1/2 mile from this condo. We loved it and will be back.

Condo was nice, but furniture and bed comforters were a little dated. View was excellent. Condo's kitchen was well-furnished with necessities for everything needed, as was laundry room. The condo gets a 3star rating.---------------However we were very disappointed with the beach this year... crowded with some very unsavory characters. We even had our beach chairs and umbrellas vandalized and some were stolen. The Majestic Sun as usual had elevator problems and the smell of the garbage access reeked. ALso the pond in the back was aesthetically unpleasant with green algae caked thickly over the entire surface.----------We probably won't return to the MS, but instead head toward Santa Rosa beach.

This unit was well appointed and since the unit was on the top floor it was very private and the views were amazing.
I would recommend not only the property, the unit but the management company was very responsive with our minor emergencies...
My only suggestion would be to stay two weeks. -

This condo was very clean when we moved into it. I highly recommend it to anyone. We left it in very good condition and they probably had to do very little cleaning afterwards. I wish we could rent it for the winter since we are snowbirds. Be sure to tell the owner thanks.

My husband and I retired in late Fall 2007 and this was or first opportunity to actually stay in Florida for an extended period.
We chose the Majestic Sun as we had visited friends staying at this accomodation 2 years prior.
We were very impressed with the location and decided to stay in Destin. We were able to rent our unit off the VRBO website. We were thrilled with our unit, the excellent view from our 12th floor balcony, the indoor heated pool and the exercise room. Best of all was the fact that you could just walk across the two line highway and be on the beach within minutes. We hope to return to the Majestic Sun again in 2008.
