This is a great house for a large group. We had 6 adults and 4 kids. More than enough room for everyone. Views of the ocean from the second story balcony and from the 3rd story loft. Location is excellent! Walking distance to the outlet mall, the WinnDixie & a souvenir shop.The beach is just a quick walk down the alley and the pool is only 4 houses away.Hand soap was left in every BR along with 2 rolls of t.p., the K had 1 roll of p.t, 2 dish pacs and a sm bottle of dish soap. 1 laundry pack left on the washer, along with a broom, dustpan, small vacuum and mop. Bring glass clnr for the dining table.The kitchen is pretty well stocked. Lots of dishes, basic pans and a few mixing bowls. There is a blender, coffee pot and toaster, but there is no pasta pot, only 1 small baking pan and I didn't see a hand mixer or Tupperware type containers.
Trash days are Monday and Thursday so be prepared to take the trash to curb that was left by the previous tenants. There is no recycling so be prepared for lots of trash.
The home is beautiful, large and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
I gave Service only 3 stars because prior to our arrival, Compass Resorts' customer service was terrible! There was no communication, no confirmation and I felt like they just didn't care about the customer. However, once we arrived, they were very helpful. One of the a/c units stopped working one late afternoon but was fixed within just a couple of hours. Cleanliness was only 4 stars because the mop left was filthy and there was ton of sand under the rugs by the doors.
Overall, the house is wonderful! I wish: 1. the kitchen was a little better stocked for a large group, 2. the kitchen table wasn't glass, 3. some sort of guide/instructions were left for the electronics, 4. the bed linens weren't white, 5. there was a recycling program and 6. Compass Resorts had better customer service.
The house is a great value and the location can't be beat!

So pleased with our recent visit. Everything was on point. The only thing I can possible say is that a few more cooking dishes and a baking sheet woud have been phenomenal. That is only minor. Could not have had a better experiance. As this was our 2nd time staying at the Gulfside Cottages! Love!

The Dream Maker home is stunning--spacious rooms, comfortable yet elegant furnishings, updated amenities--it was truly the perfect place to stay during our vacation. The great room was wonderful for family-style gatherings and dinners where we could prop open the doors and let the house flow seamlessly out to the wrap-around back porch. All four of the bedrooms are ample in space as well as comfort--each furnished with plush bedding, flat-panel televisions, and plenty of closet space. The master suite, with its private access to the upper balcony, was the perfect space to unwind after long days shopping and playing at the beach. The three pristine bathrooms had no problem accommodating our group of eight. From its three large windows, the third floor loft has impressive views of the beachside bungalows lining the sugary Destin shore. The kitchen and laundry room are newly updated and fully equipped with all the appliances we needed to cook and clean. The house is only a short, two-minute walk from its semi-private boardwalk entrance to the beach. Dream Maker is tucked quietly away in a small neighborhood with a very homey feel but is still in close proximity to all of our worldly conveniences. It is right around the corner from a grocery store, several gift shops and pharmacies, tons of restaurants, and one of the largest outlet malls I have ever seen. The property managers were extremely helpful in facilitating a wonderful vacation and I look forward to booking for next summer.

On arrival we fond 1 toilet to be not working - it took almost 2 days to resolve, the maintenance man was outstanding.
The layout was perfect for the family we have - especially liked the kitchen layout.
Very close to both pool (water was way too warm!) and Gulf (water was outstanding!). The flat screen tvs were a great touch as were little things like puzzles, games, etc.
Location was great
1st floor floor was dirty - when walking around in bare feet, they got very dirty. Didn't seem like they had been cleaned in a while, especially annoying since there is a cleaning charge included for all

Lovely home, near the beach access and heated swimming pool. Great floor plan for 6 adults and 2 children, enough space for all to be together, yet privacy for sleeping. Good location.

We live in the Midwest and cannot stand the winters! We chose to spend 3 months in Destin at the fabulous Dreamaker home, located in Miramar Beach. Every aspect of our stay was perfect. The home was extremely comfortable and spacious!! Compass Resorts was quite responsive to our needs. I cannot wait to get back to my "home away from home".
