Bardstown, KYWorst family vacation ever.
Left on 07/09/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We stayed at Dominica, and there was a lot wrong with the house. Dirty wet towels were in the middle of the floor. Empty cough medicine bottle on the counter, we had to go out and buy cleaning stuff to clean all the bathrooms, window blinds in one bedroom fell on top of us when tried to open them, 1 bathroom shower wouldn't turn off, wash machine never worked properly while there, one of the commodes ran over the first time it was flushed, this house had not been properly cleaned for a long time. The location of this house is excellent, but we will never stay there again. Very disappointing to drive 10 hours to get to the house and then have to clean up everything as soon as you arrive. My mother is 79 and this is probably the last vacation she will ever take with me and my siblings because of this. When you pay over $5000.00 to rent a house for a week you expect better than this. Newman-Dailey did give us refund of $439.00 but that was not enough to compensate us for the terrible week we had.The rat at the pool was the last straw and we left a day early. We have been coming to the Destin area for about 20 years and never had an experience like this

Middle class family getting together for a family reunion
Omaha, NEAwesome family fun!!
Left on 11/11/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We enjoyed a family reunion at the Miramar. We loved the close access to the beach as well as the chairs and umbrella set up for us each morning. The pool was right next door to the Miramar which provided great fun for all the kids. We also enjoyed the dolphin cruise. The ice maker in the kitchen was an added bonus we didn't expect. Coming from out of state, it was awesome to have linens provided. Overall, we loved it!

St. LouisAnnual Extended Family Vacation
Left on 08/06/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We had been going to Destin and staying in 3 condos as part of a 14 member extended family unit. Staying at the Dominica unit was great. We didn't have to walk down the outside walking area to get to other family members for the 1st time. The outside pool was right next door and the beach was 1 block away. Having children from 2 to 17 required seperate sleeping areas which this unit had. We will not be able to make it in 2011 because of grade school and high school graduations but we will certainly make it in 2012.

Germantown, TNMiramar Beach Vacation on Newman Street
Left on 07/31/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We have stayed for years at the "Feeling Lucky" house and were worried about not having a beach view or the nicer house. Almost everyone that stayed at the house said they may want to stay at this house again. The walk was very short and easy to the beach. The pool next door was a bonus. The owners providing 6 beach chairs with the beach service was a big plus. With 6 king beds all the adults had a king room with bathroom. We will definitely rent from Newman-Dailey again.

Charlotte, NCIt was wonderful!
Left on 04/02/2010 for a stay in March 2010
The service was wonderful and the staff was truly great. The home was clean and well equipment with all the items needed to make our vacation great. It was really nice to be able to walk down to the beach from the home. The best part about the house was the amount of towels given for the number people we had and the space in the house to move about without being crowded. The least was the BBQ grill when we first arrived but with just one phone call the staff was right on it and replaced the grill.

Mathison Family
Merritt Island, FloridaThanksgiving 2009
Left on 12/02/2009 for a stay in November 2009
Our family rents a house somewhere to meet every year at Thanksgiving. The Neuman-Dailey people were always helpful and friendly during the whole process. The house was beautiful, large and well furnished. We have never stayed at a place that was so well equipped. It even has an ice machine that can handle large crowds, three coffeemakers, cookware, dishes and silverware a-plenty. It was easy to find and an easy walk to the beach for the oldsters. The youngsters enjoyed the go-cart rides and other fun things at The Track.

Dominica of Port of CallFamily vacation
Left on 07/31/2009 for a stay in July 2009
Overall we enjoyed the house. It was cozey and somewhat roomy for all our guests.
I do recall it states the house sleeps 19 and we had 19 people and sleeping was not as easy as led to believe.
The upstairs never quite cooled off during the day as well as up until early am hours. Espeically the room with the dual hot water heaters and the attic exhaust outlet (That room was warm).
The Dryer was disonnected from the outside vent and created an incredible hot area upstairs. (This needs to be addressed!)
The neighbors that lived past the house were quite rude and disrespectful to most everyone that crossed their paths, complaining about the rental property, parking, tourists etc...
But again, Overall the stay was great.
We loved the location and distance to the beach. Having the pool was wonderful with kids and was used often.
All the guests were very happy and we would stay again! -

Summerville, SCLarge family vacations rock without breaking the bank!
Left on 06/30/2009 for a stay in June 2009
This house was perfect for our family of 3 couples,
several children, and various aged singles. The
kitchen had granite counter tops and was fully equipped for a crowd that loves to cook and eat
well. The ice maker was a big help and the second
fridge in the garage for drinks was amazing.
The best thing , besides the staff at Newman-
Dailey, was the complimentary beach service -
having our chairs and umbrellas already there every
day made setting up our "base camp" a breeze.
Don't forget to tip - the guys really are great!
Having a pool next door was nice, but the water was
too warm since there was no shade all day. Felt
good at night, though!
The one thing that really needs updating is the
mini-blinds. They are old and can't be turned to
keep the sun out very well.
All in all, though, it is a terrific house a very
short walk from one of the most beautiful beaches
in the world, worth the money, and we WILL be back! -

Left on 06/09/2009 for a stay in May 2009
This was our first time to Destin FL. Our son got married so we needed a home rather than a number of hotel rooms, this home was perfect!! A short walk to the beach (when the weather finally permitted). That was the perfect location for a wedding. We even had a spur of the moment wedding reception at the house about 30 people and there was plenty of room. Just a word of caution- THE FLOORS ARE VERY SLIPPERY!!! There was a neighborhood crime spree of about 6 homes and cars burglurized and unfortunatly our car was one of them. The police were able to recover some of the items but not all of them. But we will go back. It is a beautiful place.

Our stay was wonderful, the house was wonderful. The only thing that I had a problem with was parking. I had family coming at different times so we had several cars. I have stayed in Martinque, Tinidad and I have never had a parking problem before but we dealt with it alright. I have rented from you for six years and hope to continue to in the future.

This year will make the 4th year my family has stayed in one of the four houses you have on Newman Dr.. Just like the other three years this, year was absolutely wonderful. We looked at other house that weren't as big because we only had three family's, but decided to go with this house because we liked the location and have always had a good time. You were also very helpful with updates on the Pompano Joe's parking lot.
Thank You and hope to see you next year.

Franklin, TennesseeGreat for large groups or families!
Left on 09/25/2008 for a stay in October 2007
This was the 6th time we stayed at Dominica. The location is perfect! It is right across the street from Pompano Joe's, which is one of our favorite restaurants. The house is huge, and each of the four upstairs bedrooms has its own bathroom, and the vanities are in the bedrooms. The two downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom. With 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, everyone can have plenty of room to spread out. We once has 16 people staying at Dominica! The upper patio is a great place to relax in the evening and drink a glass of wine.
Another great amenity that draws us back to Dominica is the 3 beach set ups you get with the house(6 chairs and 3 umbrellas).
We have stayed at Dominica since 1999, and the one disappoint is that it really hasn't been updated. It pretty much looks the same as it did 8 years ago. The only change is the carpet on the stairs and upstairs hallway has been removed, and there is now hardwood. It is comforting knowing what to expect, but we have stayed at newer places that make us feel Dominica could use a facelift.
Updated or not, you will love your stay at Dominica!
