The view
Des MoinesPerfect location with amazing view!
Left on 03/06/2013 for a stay in February 2013
The view was the most important feature of the house when we were booking our getaway and this house delivers! The location is perfect to restaurants and shopping is also ideal!
The house itself has the worst curb appeal on the entire block and some small inconviences.
The master bedroom has a deck with a straight on view of the sandy beach - perfect for morning coffee- but the most uncomfortable bed. I actually think it tilts to one side?! And is ridiculously lumpy! So we were going to move to the lower bedroom with the smaller bed but I have cat allergies and immediately started itching and could smell cat urine around the sliding door. We moved back to the master and spent zero time on the lower level untill our last day when we did laundry and the washer was so loud you could hear it on all 3 floors!
There is a docking station on the kitchen counter but no chords and 3 of the smallest full size bath towels I have every seen!
We have rented a home one other time in hilton head and it had every convenience we could think of so I realize it sounds like I am complaining but if we had brought the kids these things would have made my rating much worse!
We just hung out for a long weekend and did nothing other than walk on beach and eat great food so the house was perfect for that but I will be much more high maintence if we choose to rent a home next trip! -

Mill Creek, WABest Thanksgiving Ever!
Left on 12/07/2012 for a stay in November 2012
My family spent Thanksgiving here and we could not have asked for a more beautiful place. We had plenty of room for the entire family and home was stocked with everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Ready access to the beach from each floor, beautiful views, and a gorgeous setting. We cannot wait to go back!

If you come to Destin for the beach, sun, sand, and a view of the surf, you'll get that all of that in this unit.
It's ultra convenient for stepping out on to the sand and getting in the surf.
But it was not clean, or in good repair, or cheap, and it's old.
When we were checking in at 4:30, they wouldn't let us in until "the cleaning crew" made a final inspection. We had to wait and wait until we finally asked the desk person to actually "call" the crew, rather than text them, which they were not responding to.
Yes, it's a beach unit and some sand is going to get in, but generally, the cleaning crew was deficent. A ceiling fan in one room was losing a blade and someone should have reported that before we checked in, (final inspection?). Plenty of ants scampered about the place. Paint was dinged in lots of places, beds creaked, and sliders were hard to slide. A large flower pot on one deck was totally loaded with old cigarette butts, nasty stuff.
However, the kitchen has been up-dated, probably in 2006/07, except for the slightly rusty fridge. The washer/dryer seemed newish, and there was plenty of hot water.
All in all, a great view with crashing surf and right on the gulf, but it was too much money for a place in this state of repair. -

Fort Worth, TXGreat for families
Left on 02/22/2012 for a stay in June 2011
We arrived late for check in and the staff had all the information ready for us and made check in super easy. We took a full family vacation with grandparents, aunts, uncles and grandkids. The condo looked just like the pictures and was clean and ready for us. The location was ideal, the beach was just steps away from the back door. The beaches weren't over crowded, no need to wake up at dawn to get a good spot like on most public beaches. We had a great vacation with the family, one the kids will not soon forget. The kids talked about it for months after, so much so we have already booked it for July 2012! This condo is highly reccomended.

We were ecstatic when we arrived! The house is so roomy and directly on the beach, which we absolutely love. We enjoyed our stay so very much! It has everything you need plus more, even tons of beach gear you can use. This was our first family vacation, with our new baby girl and Sanddollar 18 was the perfect place to stay. I really hope we can come back to this spot on our next beach vacation :)

New Orleans, LALoved being right on the beach!
Left on 06/02/2010 for a stay in May 2010
I loved the location of Costa Del Sol (we stayed in a4). It is right on the beach and the best thing is going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the waves. The condo itself was okay. As usual with condos/hotels, the furniture and bedspreads were uncomfortable. There's always a feeling like they aren't really clean. We had trouble with the kitchen light. You had to keep flipping the switch for it to come on. The living area didn't have a decent tv or a dvd player. In order to watch a movie with the family we would have to go the king bedroom or the downstairs unit, which had a small tv. The parking at Costa Del Sol is also kind of tight. All in all it wasn't a bad place to stay. We had a great time!!

On the Beach. Fabulous place. Need to fix the screened doors, which didn't
work on the track. Apart from the glass on the oven door exploding, the place
was great!! We would definitely go back!!!!!! -

This is the second time staying in the Sand Dollar units. I believe the 4th time with Newman Dailey. This is the first time we had to call with any problems with a unit. You responded very promptly and were great to work with, but I think some of the problems would have been noticed during a walk through. The stairs were very obvious and a hazard. They were barely attached on the west side. When you stepped on them you could feel and see the stair drop. The kitchen was nicely supplied, and the decor was very pleasant. We also enjoy the location.

Although rough looking on the outside, we were completely blown away by the inside. It was beautifully decorated. Customer service was fast and efficient when our coffee pot broke, bringing a new one for us just a couple of hours later.
Check in was easy and non-complicated.
Right on the beach, close enough to the action of town but far enough away to avoid the crowds at the condos. Beautiful views! We had an absolutely wonderful stay and look forward to going back and re-visiting it again.
We had our wedding here with close friends and families and it was better than we could have imagined. We walked straight out onto the beach from the house.
Can't wait to come back again! -

My family had a great week at the Sanddollar townhome. The inside of the townhouse is very nice and very clean! The outside appears run down and the decks need to be redone. Two of my kids had splinters the first day. Quite run down. It was on the beach which was great! Close to shopping and restaraunts!
