      Great in cool weather

Left on 06/25/2012 for a stay in June 2012

Stayed in June when it was really hot, and they do not have air conditioning. Not good. I became ill with heat exhaustion and dehydration and there was no where cool in the house. It is a luxury home, but no air conditioning. It is a furnace in the heat of the sun and does not cool at night. My husband, a GP, was most concerned. Stay only in cooler weather. We had to leave early and stay with friends in Colorado who could not believe we remained there for so long. Had a very uncomfortable time. House itself is delightful and surroundings.

We are in the process of adding air conditioning so the cabin will be very comfortable. A perfect place to cool off in the summer heat is hiking along Mill Creek to the waterfall.

We had a fabulous week getaway at this very comfortable and well-supplied cabin in the mountains. Quiet, peaceful, perfect for relaxing, resting, hiking, biking, river activities, fantastic scenery, great in-town restaurants, and a general laid-back vibe. Put this one on your vacation itinerary!

      A fabulous retreat!

Left on 02/12/2012 for a stay in May 2004

I stayed at this log cabin with my mother, a getaway for both of us. "Cabin" is hardly the word for it -- the home is a veritable home away from home, a luxurious oasis in the desert, yet surrounded by the Southeastern Utah desert and all its magical, mystical wonders. We enjoyed especially experiencing the small town atmosphere of Moab, just a few miles away, and also visited the arches National Park. Simply walking the grounds of Pack Creek Ranch, where the "cabin" is located, and along the creek.itself was a healing experience. In fact, I was inspired to write a poem about my stay in the shadow of Mt. Tukunikivats. I'm just sorry we didn't have time to explore the Canyonlands, as well, but look forward to doing so next time. I have no hesitation about recommending the property to anyone seeking the inner insights of an outdoor experience!

      Moab Luxury

Left on 01/31/2012 for a stay in December 2011

I recently spent four nights at this cabin with my two adult sons, and found it to be an extraordinary experience. The cabin is large, constructed of highest quality local materials, with views in every direction and decks around most of the building. The main common area includes a fully equipped, modern, large kitchen, dining room and living room, along with a master bedroom, incredible master bathroom and office den on the main floor. There is an additional bedroom, and game room on the floor below. The worst thing about this cabin is that it is so comfortable that you really dont want to leave...you have everything you need here. It is a very easy jumping off point for touring the nearby national parks and quickly dropping into Moab, while having the feeling of being in a remote area with almost no one else nearby. You can hear the coyotes howl at night, and know that you are definitely out in the wilderness. The property is in great condition, and appears only to have been used by the owners sporadically, and never rented before. This place is also a great deal. For about the same price that four adults would pay for two motel rooms and meals out, you get a complete home, with the ability to enjoy meals indoors or out, with spectacular views all around, and enjoy really luxurious amenities.. I cant say enough about this place, other than I cant wait to get back and continue exploring the most amazing red rock landscapes, hiking and biking trails and river rafting. This cabin helps to make it an amazing experience.
