Great place for a Moab family stay

Left on 08/02/2012 for a stay in July 2012

The Ladder House is one of the condos in the Rim Village development south of Moab. It is a turn-key solution to comfortably accomodate your family or group of friends while visiting Moab. All the amenities were as described in the ad and accompanying info from the reservation. It was clean and very comfortable with plenty of extra towels including separate pool towels. The patio is great in the summer evenings and there is a large bbq grill. You'll probably also enjoy the 2-car garage to either get your car or toys (or both) out of the sun.
Sit out on the patio with a beverage and watch the thunderstorms. If it rains on you, the frogs may even come out a give you a couple of ribbets!

      Just like home but...

Left on 06/03/2012 for a stay in May 2012

This was a very comfy and clean condo with all promised amenities except two extremely important ones: both the Internet wifi connection and the phones weren't working. Our stay was two days and, by the second day, I was desperate enough to get online that I fixed the Internet problem myself by messing around with the routers that are clearly marked "do not unplug!" and unplugging/replacing the modem. I realize being online is not a priority for some, but it was the only way we were staying in touch with family members back home (our international roaming mobile phone charges are far too expensive). The phones never did get back online. Only one other noteworthy item: more pillows are needed! By the time we took the 5 to 7 decorative pillows off the king-sized bed, there were only two suitable for sleeping. Gah! That's not enough. My mother said the same thing about one of the smaller bedrooms. If the online thing didn't happen, I'd give this place a 4 out of 5. The location was quiet, the neighbours could not be heard, the facilities nice, and we certainly appreciated being able to do a load of laundry. :)

      Response from Vanessa - 06/20/2012

We were very sorry that the WiFi was down. There were regional outages and we had 2 tickets open with the internet service providers. WiFi is definitely something we value and most of our guests value as well. We are very sorry that this happened and due to it being a rural area, there aren't many alternatives for redundant internet providers.

We very much value our guests and that is why we even allowed this non-positive review to be posted.

Thanks again and sorry that the WiFi access took away from what is normally such a relaxing and enjoyable vacation for most.
