The duplex was a first time accommodation choice over a condo or hotel. We enjoyed the home-style comfort and entry access. The location was close for walking to shops and restaurants. If we come back during a warmer time, we'll use the hammock and BBQ. Good clean easy accommodations with available secure bike storage.
Could not have been more fun or simpler!

Probably the best thing about this place is its proximity to the north end of town. That makes it easy to get out to arches, canyonlands, etc. the unit itself is nice. It's older bit kept up really well. Just know that you'll like it more if vintage is your thing. Especially the kitchen had an older style to it, but was well stocked with stuff to piece meals together. The heating system was a bit hard to figure out (at least for us), but we got it to work well enough since we were there in October and it wasn't too cold yet except in the early mornings. The big enclosed yard would be nice for people with families, but it was just the two of us and we pretty much just came and went. We did use the hot tub tho, which was very clean and nice to relax in after hiking.
try it you'll love it

super quiet; hot tub very clean, a little hot for us though
great supply of cooking utensils, more than enough dishes & glasses
short people have trouble reaching into kitchen cabinets
consider installing deadbolts to replace [flimsy] latch

We wanted to be close to Moab center. This location was close, but not too close to be noisy. The Moab Lodging Management responded quickly to any concerns. The home was neat and clean. It is an older residence and needs an update in the kitchen. The bathroom recent updates are certainly appreciated. There is adequate room in the private back yard with a hot tub. Tub was clean and in good working order and we did enjoy relaxing after a busy day in the tub. The service and the location were perfect. Thank you.

Two bedrooms suited us very well, as the kids could sleep in their own room with two beds. Some adjustment was needed as there was one bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen is very useful. We used the outdoor BBQ too.

I've stayed at Moab Desert Gardens before. They have remodeled and upgraded the bathroom and living room. It is relatively funky but enjoyable with a big yard where you can eat, hot tub, and if the birds hadn't put their droppings all over it, lie in the hammock. I will go back always. The location's great, and it's comfortab.e.

I have stayed at Desert Gardens with a group of my mtn biking buds for years and think it is a great place. Optimal location, off the beaten path, quiet open yard, and have noticed the owner slowly fixing up the place with something new each time we come back.
However, the price has gone up more in comparison than the added amenities and wish it would not escalate that quickly as we are frequenters of this establishment.
Miss that crazy cat, Jack! He actually remembers us each time we come back. Have fond memories from each time we have stayed here.
Compared to what's available in Moab, this is great.

I come every year from Boulder for a dance event. i like staying here because it is walking distance to everything without feeling congested or noisy...the hot tub is a nice feature, it's clean and typically available when i want to use it. this is convenient, clean and quite...lots of rental spaces in Moab are not.

I stayed at this accomodation 3 years ago. Why am I being asked what I thought of it now ? We did enjoy the duplex unit and it was very clean. We would stay there again !
More than I expected

For a first time renter and visitor to Moab, this lodging was home away from home. I am very familiar with timeshares and the condos associated with them, so I know what luxuries to expect. The Moab Lodging and Property Management people were very accommodating to my questions and concerns for renting this location. This rental to me was nice and cozy for a family of four. For a place such as Moab, where you will find so much red dirt all over, especially on your recreational vehicles, I did not spot any at all in the rental. It was unexpectedly very clean and tidy. The furnishings make the place so comfortable. The location is very ideal for visits to arches or Canyonlands National parks. The amenaties were as stated, except I did not have enough time during my stay to use any of them. There are enough restaurants in the town for those too busy to cook. Speaking of which, the kitchen in the unit is fully furnished, so for those who do want to cook and eat in - as I did - its all there. Television and WiFi are included. My neighbors in the other units were very friendly. Again, the lodging at Desert Gardens #2 is like home away from home. My guests and I enjoyed every minute spent in Moab. Kudos to Mlpm.

It's so nice to actually have an apartment while traveling. This apartment was amazing! It has a great location. It's just off the main street, but still feels very tucked away and quiet. There is a large yard area that has a hammock, a grill you can use, and a hot tub. There was no air conditioning, but the front room has a very effective swamp cooler, and there are floor and ceiling fans throughout the apartment. I slept under several blankets! But it might be something to keep in mind if you're traveling in the hottest months. I would recommend this place to larger groups who need a nice place to come and relax after a day of enjoying all that moab has to offer! We came for the triathlon in June, and it was perfect.
