Great property. No high-end appointments, fixtures or furniture so not exactly the lap of luxury, but good, clean place to relax; everything you need, nothing you don't.
"Starter kits" for bath and kitchen provided. Clean linens. Adequate kitchen utensils. Cold fridge and hot heater (if needed). Decent wifi connection/bandwidth. Just a block and a half from Main, three blocks or so from Center. Quiet neighborhood.

I've stayed at Desert Gardens for years, since 2003 I think. We typically have 10-15 people so rent 2 or all 3 units. The yard out back is great, the location, hottub and wifi are excellent and the continual upgrades over the years are much appreciated.

Great little cottage and perfect for the four adults. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance to the main street. We enjoyed grilling on the gas grill and the hot tub with a privacy fence around the yard. It was nice to walk out and have grass under your feet instead of concrete. We even bought some local produce at the farmers market in the park a block away.
Every thing you need and right in town

The beautiful green grass is worth the stay alone. The yard is a wonderful quiet spot to relax with an adult beverage and a good book. The Desert Garden #3 is everything you need for a great stay, the kitchen has all the cooking equipment you need for a economical vacation. You are close to Main street for those dinners you want to have someone else cook.
relaxing, perfect for family

Moab was the last stop on a 2 week hiking trip. We hoped for a place we could spread out a bit and relax after camping and a few cramped hotel rooms. While not huge, this was more than ample for a family of 5 that included 3 teens. It's a little group of 3 units with a nice shared lawn area in a residential area off Main St. The place is charming, from the outdoor space to the bedrooms. It was over 100 every day and the air con worked beautifully. The bathroom and kitchen are small, but adequate. Open kitchen - living room - dining room make for comfortable hanging out. Downtown Moab is just a couple blocks walk with great cafes, and a good supermarket is a 5-10 min drive. Arches park and other area hiking within 10-20 mins. We couldn't find any recycling facilities for the complex, which we found odd given the general environmental mindedness of Moab. Location and charm would bring us back again.

This was perfect for our family. It was in the heart of downtown Moab, clean, comfortable and affordable. We will definitely stay there on our next visit.
We loved it. Plenty of space for the three of us (me, wife, and son). Cheaper than separate hotel rooms. Extremely pleasant hidden gem. We used the kitchen to save on meals. Well stocked with pots, pans, utensils. Sat and read in the pleasant fenced-in yard. Walked to downtown shops. We would definitely return.

If you want a basic bungalow in a nice quiet treed setting, near main street, then this is the answer. Way better than a hotel/motel, with sufficient kitchen and bar-b-que for all our meals, and a great yard to lounge in. Bike shed was a bonus, as was a hose for washing them. This was my second stay, and I will be staying there again.

We have stayed at this unit a number of times during offroad events. It's located off the main street, nice and quiet but close to everything. Moab is a smallish town and can be walked/biked easily. The yard is a fantastic. Furnishings are "experienced" and the fixtures and appliances are somewhat dated, so you will not want this place if top of the line fixtures and new furniture is your deal. The layout is a little quirky, but functional - front door is center, which opens into a living area with bunk bed nook on the right, and kitchen and dining area on the left. "Master bedroom" and common bath are on the left exterior wall toward the back of the house accessed through a short hallway, and a two-bed room is in the center on the opposite of a wall in front of the entry. Hammock, hot tub, outdoor furniture, clean, well-kept yard - overall, a great place to relax, cook and hang out after a long day on the trail. Wifi is a bit hit or miss, but I think that's just the nature of mountain town internet. It's not the Four Seasons, but it is everything you need, comfortably.

Great place to stay for a family vacation

We loved our stay at the Desert Gardens. It had all the conveniences of home. And they had just installed modern air conditioner in #3 right before we stayed there. It was convenient to downtown Moab, but seemed very private. And quiet too. We did alot of sight seeing and hiking in the parks. What a great place. Thanks to the staff for giving us a wonderful family vacation.
