A very pleasant cottage which was fully equiped for our needs. The key holder made us feel very welcome and helpful throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time and it wasn't spoiled by the one day of rain.

EdinburghI Really hope the have improved this house
Left on 10/21/2010 for a stay in December 2009
This was the last place we rented with McKays and since then have never used them again - the house looked great at first and we were excited about staying here as this village was our old family home. Problems started the first night when we opened up the sofa bed to discover it was completely broken and unusable. the house got progressively colder as the fuel supply had got damp due to the snow and we could not get enough heat from the parkray to heat the house - we ended up huddling over an oil radiator in the evenings like refugees! - we also found electrical sockets that were hanging off walls nd very dangerous considering we had very young children and the front step was so highly painted it was lethal in cold weather.
We complained to MacKays on our return who did very little other than pass on our comments
We've never used MacKays again sinceResponse from Mackay's Agency - 10/27/2010

We are sorry for the problems experienced during this stay in December 2009 but this is the only issue we are aware of at this property. The sofa bed problem was sorted and anyway the property is now only let for 2 people so the sofa bed is no longer used . The other issues were corrected as soon as we heard from the customers on their return home. The property owner was not contacted at any time during their stay to give the owner an oppportunity to sort out any of these problems. As always we reacted as soon as we were informed.
