The Best of Smith Mountain Lake is all within minutes. Close to all by boat and car. This house sits on a deep water cove that is GREAT for swimming and hanging out. The cove is very private and there is easy access from the home to the water.
Nice, large dock with room for two boats. One floating dock and one stationary. The dock has a cabana that is a great place to enjoy time with family and friends. Hours of swimming, fishing, and fun awaits you.

We LOVE Smith Mountain Lake. The location of the home is close to all the action, but still very private. We were looking for a place to spend quality family time and we found it. We are there much of the time when it's not rented, so it is well maintained and professionally managed. We feel very lucky we found this very special home and are happy to share it with our guests.
Easy walk to your own private dock and boat house in a VERY private cove. This is one of the best locations on the entire lake. Bridgewater Plaza is minutes by car or boat. The kids love the location and the house. There is not a minute of boredom when we are at the lake.

We spent a winter getaway with friends at this rental house. They allowed us to take our pets which was a huge plus. The house was very clean and tidy when we arrived. Even though they allow dogs, there was no sign of animal wear and tear. Unfortunately, there was still snow on the ground so we didn't get to spend much time on the dock but we did venture down on a few occasions. The deck looked like it would have been great in warmer weather. We loved the living room and dining area with expansive windows. Just a few negatives- the back yard was a very steep slope, fenced in, but not usable for most small dogs. Ours played in the front yard and were very safe there. The mattresses were extremely soft. We would rent the house again, for sure!

By lake standards we are on what is considered a gentle sloping lot. Most of our guests think the backyard is perfect for their dogs based on prior reviews. Sorry your little guys did not like it. The best home we have stayed at in the past 6 years of going to SML. In a private cove close to the bridge and new Food Lion. Inside it has nice Tv's for the evenings and outside in the water it has a huge tube for the kids to jump off into the water. Nice size deck attached to the house and good sized dock down at the water. The way it's equipped you can tell the owners use the home too.

The main living area of this house is full of windows with a view of the water no matter which direction you look. There's a big deck that is great for having a meal outside. The fenced in backyard was a real bonus for our dog and kids. The house is well equipped and comfortable, even comes with a dog bed! We can't wait to come back next year

We've been coming to this lake for several years and this house made it our best week ever. It's nicely furnished and decorated with a classy touch. It's well appointed with nice kitchen accessories, comfortable beds, and an awesome big TV. We loved the location. This house is situated on a private cove in a quiet neighborhood, but is close to a restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. The kids had a great time as well. Lots of family games was a real nice touch.

We enjoyed staying at this beautiful lake house with my sister and her family. Our two girls had a wonderful time playing on the dock with their cousins, swimming in the lake, and boating with mom and dad. We enjoyed playing board games with the grandparents in the evening. We grilled many nice dinners and enjoyed sipping coffee (and later wine) on the beautiful deck. The accommodations were great and there was plenty of space for our large family. We especially enjoyed the views, private dock, and location on the lake. Would highly recommend for a great family get away!

Wow...we had a such a great time. The house is great, the dock is awesome and the location is perfect. We loved the house and all it had to offer. What a great layout and super cute. The house was immaculate when we arrived and everything was perfect. Great views of the lake and the dock is large enough for everyone and our two boats. Fishing from the dock turned out to be pretty good as well. All and all a great trip plus the owner is super nice and easy to reach. We will be back for sure. Best money we ever spent!

There are many rental houses at the lake, but there are very few guest homes. This really is a home with so many nice touches and finishes. The dining room table is solid copper and gorgeous. Little things like having laundry and dishwashing detergent on hand for guests is very considerate. The kitchen is better stocked then my own. Everything you could want like a crook pot and big lobster pot are handy. The place settings are very nice, not what you typically see in a rental. We love the location of the home and we spoke with the owner Tom many times prior to our arrival. He was very gracious, funny and always available to answer all of our questions. So what else can I say, we loved it and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway on the lake.

What a great house! We had such a good time. The trip from start to finish was perfect. Owner was always available for questions prior to our arrival and was very attentive. The home has a nice open floor plan and is great for a large family to spread out. The home has all of the little extras you never seem to find in other rentals. The backyard is fully fenced down to the lake and our dog had a good time at this very pet friendly home. Location is as good as it gets. Located in a private cove yet really close to everything. Thank you so much for making this trip so memorable. I have no doubt we will be back again next year.

I've rented a number of properties in my life but this one is special in that it feels like a home, and not like a rental property. From the secluded (but very convenient) location, to the furnishings, kitchen and things like the quality gas grill, this place doesn't feel like someone's investment property but instead like the place you'd buy/build if you had the dough and that's a great thing. We particularly enjoyed the private cove that the house sits on and would spend hours just sitting on the dock reading while the kids swam. The other thing we loved was that while it felt very private and secluded, it was actually quite close to the grocery store and other amenities so even if you forgot to pick something up it was no big deal. All in all a great relaxing time and Tom the owner clearly cares about his guests and works hard to make sure that the house is in great shape for your stay. We'll be back and we've told friends about it too who plan to rent a week next year. Thanks Tom.

We spent 4th of July week with our friends at this house. We had so much fun! The house is a great size for two families. We brought 2 dogs with us and they had just as much fun as we did. The fenced in yard was perfect for them - with no weak spots for them to escape. The house is close to several grocery stores and shopping areas, but it still feels like a secluded cove - far enough away from the jet ski and boat traffic of the lake. The house was clean, well decorated; the beds were very comfy and the dock was perfect! On the 4th of July we were able to see lots of firework displays all around the lake - we just sat on the deck and enjoyed the show! Many thanks for a great week! I would definitely visit this house again and recommend to friends.
