Additional Location Information

The Trulli of Bacco's can be a great starting point for the surrounding area rich in history , art, and natural scenic beauty . Among the many possibilities , we recommend:

Alberobello
At about 10km
Renowned worldwide for the presence of the famous Trulli , World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, Alberobello is definitely worth a visit, even just by staying in one of the housing characteristics cone .

Monopoli , Polignano a Mare and the Adriatic Sea
Approximately 8 km
Coming down from the plateau is reached with ease, along a road very impressive, Monopoly , a town of about 50,000 inhabitants and by the beautiful sea .
Destinations recommended : the castle , the abbey of St. Stephen, the civic tower with the clock, the ladder , a cove near the town , and the area " Chapter " , about 5 km to the south, rich in plants and tourist facilities very nice.

Martina Franca
At about 32 km away.
The city , located on the southern edge of the Murgia , is characterized by the remarkable historic center dominated by the baroque style. Remarkable Basilica di San Martino and Palazzo Ducale , and the white lanes and mansions.

Castellana Grotte
At about 15 km.
Karst caves and cavities, stretching into the ground for about 3 km. Two paths are indicated for the visit , the short one of about half an hour to complete , and that takes a couple of hours. Well spent though!
We recommend without doubt the visit to the cave known as "the Grave" , with a height of about 60 meters and the caves "white" , considered among the most beautiful in the world , and "black" .

The zoo safari di Fasano
At about 10km .
First safari in Italy and among the largest in Europe , the Zoo Safari of Fasano contains a multitude of different animal species in a park of about 150 hectares. Characteristic of the dolphinarium , unique in Southern Italy, the monkey park and the area of the gorillas . The property also has an amusement park, Fasanolandia , with attractions aimed at various age groups .

The white city of Ostuni
At about 30km.
Known as the White City because of houses painted in white lime, Ostuni is a post town about 10 km from the sea very characteristic. Also called " Nativity city " , Ostuni is a must , to visit : the old town and in particular the Cathedral, the Carmelite monastery , Villa Nazareth , the column of St. Horace and the Aragonese walls , sipping an aperitif in one many of adjacent rooms .

The Sassi of Matera
At about 60km .
The Sassi of Matera , UNESCO World Heritage Site , are the center of the town. These homes are built in tuff , sheltered by a deep ravine , the Gravina di Matera , which divides the city into two distinct areas: the Sasso Barisano and Caveoso . Very special, except for the buildings excavated , are the sewer systems and water storage , necessary because of the considerable distance from water courses .

Castel del Monte
At about 100km .
Castel del Monte is a quaint building with an octagonal former residence of Frederick II. Although it is commonly called the "castle " you do not know the function of the building still good , as lacking the typical defensive structures of a fortress ( eg ditch ), and numerous other details, such as the slots are too small for the use of arrows. Also the assumption that it was a building does not find evidence of hunting : there are the stables, only for one thing.
The most accepted theory credited to Castel del Monte, the function of the temple or residence of studies. To all the effects it emanates a feeling of calm , both for the position , for both the symbolism present , increasing the feeling of tragic nature of the place.
There are many esoteric theories associated with Castel del Monte. Even ignoring the veracity of what is no doubt that it is one of the most characteristic and perhaps the whole of Puglia Italy .

The Baroque in Lecce
At about 100km .
Lecce is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities of southern Italy. The historic center of Baroque art permeated her most distinctive landmarks , has contributed to the affectionate name of the city: the Florence of the South
Meta is absolutely essential for the artistic beauty already indicated , both for the great food, Friselle in the first place , both for the marine localities located in the vicinity of the city.

Trani
At about 90km.
A city rich in history , Trani is on the coast north of Bari Renowned for good food , especially seafood and Trani stone , stone stone feature much sought after , Trani worth a visit to the marina, the Cathedral and the Castle Svevo
