Without tourists around at your every move, you'll be able to discover the real culture of Italy and live more like a local at this winter accommodation. Visit the nearby thermal spas, take scenic drives through the countryside, and make day trips to Florence or Siena, but know that whatever you decide to do, you'll be so happy you chose this Tuscany villa as your home.
[7 hectares] Built during the second half of the 18th... century, this villa is comprised of two independent units and is situated in the center of woods, olive groves and the slopes of Mount Albano. The garden features a landscaped yard with large trees, a dining area under a gazebo, and a barbecue. The road to the property is paved and each unit has a different entrance gate and parking area.

Ground floor: There is a living room with two couches, armchairs, and fireplace. On the other side of the room is the dining area with a table and chairs, seating up to 16 people. There is another living room with two couches [one of which is a sofa bed suitable for one], armchairs, a round table with four chairs, and satellite TV. The room next to it has a billiards table. The kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, freezer with icemaker, fireplace with pizza oven, and dishwasher, as well as table with eight chairs. There is a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower and a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.
Intermediate floor: A staircase of nine steps from the dining room leads to a bedroom with two 90 cm single beds.
Second floor: A staircase of 16 steps from the ground floor leads to this floor where there are three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a 180 cm king-sized bed, a spiral staircase leading up to a room with a 90 cm single bed, and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The second bedroom has three 90 cm single beds and the third bedroom has one 90 cm single bed. There is a second bathroom with a sink, toilet, shower, and Jacuzzi tub.
This property is located three kilometers away from the nearest town of Monsummano. There are a number of leisure activities you can find in or around Monsummano such as golf courses, horseback riding facilities, walking tours, and cooking classes. Nearby are the Giusti Grottoes, home to hot thermal baths; the Pistoia hills and mountains, where skiing in the winter is an option; a pretty Romanesque church and an ancient castle. Thirty kilometers away is Lucca, which is worth enjoying for its medieval charm in addition to a number of interesting sights. The Duomo di San Martino and the Church of San Michele in Foro are both gorgeous examples of period architecture, while the Casa di Puccini, where the composer was born, has been transformed into a small museum in his honor. You can also climb the 130 foot Torre Guinigi, but on the other hand, viewing the tree-topped tower from below might be just as enjoyable… and a lot less work! There is a train station in both Montecatini Terme [located seven kilometers away] and Lucca in which you can easily and quickly travel to Pisa or Florence for the day should you not feel like driving.
