Le Cavadou is a beautiful villa situated in Montagnac, at walking distance of the pitoresque village surrounded by nature.

The villa is situated on a hill and offers a panoramic view over the valley.

Le Cavadou occupies 2000 m² and bordering the house is a private swimming pool (9m long) with sun terrace where you can enjoy the sun (or shade) in all peace and quiet.

The house offers room to 10 people who can enjoy their holiday in all comfort in this beautiful region.

From the terrace you can enjoy a wonderful view over Montagnac and the surrounding hills.

Here you can live as "God in France..."

Inside the house the temperature is pleasantly cool. The villa has a contemporary look and is well furnished with modern amenities.

In the hallway you will find a guest toilet and the passage to the bedrooms and the living area.

Downstairs there are three spacious bedrooms all with a double bed. The view from 'the suite' has already captivated many people.

In the sleeping area you will also find a large and luxurious bathroom with two sinks, bath and a second toilet. Furthermore there is a seperate room with rainshower and another sink.

Le Cavadou is a very practical villa with all modern appliances being: dishwasher, washing machine, ... In the kitchen you can savour all the flavours of the Provence. You can also enjoy a glass of pastis from a bar stool.

From the kitchen you can see the beautiful and spacious living room with comfortable sitting area and swimming pool view.

Additional Location Information

There is a parking next to the house for 4 cars. You can come by car, or rou can fly into Aix-en-Provence and rent a car from there. Another possibility is taking the high speed train into Aix-en-Provence. Other airports closeby are Marseille.

The village

Montagnac is a small village in the Provence. The town is situated on a hill and is known for it's truffles (not the chocolat variety). Each year in february there is a big truffle fair.

The region

Riez is a well known tourist village in the Provence and is situated at about 5 km from the house. In Riez every Wednesday and Saturday there is a market, which certainly is a must to visit.
Lac Sainte Croix lies at about 8.4 km from the house. In the lake you can swim, sail, or pratise other watersports.
The nearest large city is Aix-en-Provence. A very sociable student city.

If you want to go the more sporty route: The 'Gorges du Verdon' is absolutely worth doing if you like to do some walking excursions and like to enjoy nature. You can also raft or cano through the canyon.

Other villages/cities worth visiting: Moustiers Sainte Marie, knwon for it's typical faience. Quinson with lake and museum. Saint Jurs with the lovely lavender fields.

Cassis is also worth visiting, this city is located at the mediterranean sea at 123 km from the house. You can watch the Calanques here from on boat leaving from Cassis.

  This place is a great getaway for a large family or in our case a group of friends. The services provided were very good and the owner is always reachable by phone in case of emergency. The house is equipped with everything you need and the stove makes it particularly nice and romantic. There is free WiFi which is nice to have as well. We were there in wintertime so it was a bit chilly in the outer bedrooms but apart from that we didn't have any remarks whatsoever. Did not try the outside swimming pool but the outside pizza-oven was a very big success. In terms of location, it is situated really well. It is a nice and quiet little town. One small bar that you definitely need to visit when you want to enjoy the locals. We did some walks/hikes in the 'Gorge du Verdon' that was recommended to us and it gave us some fantastic views. We also visited the city aix-en-Provence, actually not that far away, which was a lot of fun.
  I have been there twice and I would definitely go again anytime.
