PLEASE NOTE: THE PROPERTY IS DIVIDED INTO EIGHT SELF CONTAINED APARTMENTS, EACH SLEEPING 2-4 PEOPLE. THIS LISTING IS FOR A SINGLE APARTMENT. IF YOU CANNOT FIND YOUR DESIRED AVAILABILITY, PLEASE CONTACT US AND WE WILL TRY TO FIND A SUITABLE ARRANGEMENT. RATES VARY ACCORDING TO APARTMENT SIZE AND SEASON, FROM €85 TO €200/NIGHT.
Our farm is a 15th century convent which was owned by Benedictine Olivetan monks until the end of the 18th century. It has been recently refurbished and subsequently divided into eight tastefully furnished, modern and comfortable apartments.
The farm is about 10 kilometres from the centre of the old hill town of Montalcino and includes a winery producing typical regional wines such as the famous Brunello di Momtalcino, as well as extra-virgin olive oil and grappa (a strong eau-de-vie). The main convent building enjoys a tranquil situation and panoramic views over the Monte Amiata, the hills of Maremma, and the valley of the river Ombrone. We are within easy reach of the most famous towns of the region: Pienza, Montepulciano and Siena (approx. 50km away).
There is a saltwater swimming pool and the apartments have satellite TV and air conditioning, as well as panoramic views of the countryside. Guests may walk throughout the quiet woods and vineyards of the estate.
The property comprises the following apartments, which are let individually:
1. “Abate”: luxury apartment, one double bedroom w/ en suite bathroom (shower and bath), living/kitchenette, views of the countryside (€120-€180/night)
2. “Le Logge”: two bedrooms (double or twin on request – one with view of countryside), two bathrooms (en suite), living/kitchenette (€90-€180/night)
3. “Il Leccio”: double bedroom w/ en suite bathroom, living/kitchenette, views of countryside and inside of cloister (€85-€100/night)
4. “Antica Cucina”: two double bedrooms, two bathrooms (en suite, one w/ shower and bath), large living area/kitchenette (NB: apartment also suitable for people with special mobility requirements – there is step-free access to this apartment) (€100-€200/night)
5. “Vin Santo”: two bedrooms (one double, one twin), two bathrooms (en suite), living/kitchenette, mezzanine with desk, reading chair, and views of the surrounding countryside (€90-€180/night)
6. “I Tetti”: two bedrooms (one double/twin on request, one single), two bathrooms (en suite), living area/kitchenette (€90- €150/night)
7. “Amiata”: two bedrooms (one double, one single), two bathrooms (en suite), living area/kitchenette (€90-€150/night)
8. “La Casetta”: two double bedrooms, two bathrooms (en suite, one w/ shower and bath), large living area/kitchenette, small private terrace (€100-€200/night)
