Fairway Woods is a beautifully remodeled home, perfect for couples and small groups that appreciate comfort and warm details. From the custom woodwork to tasteful furnishings, there is nothing overlooked. Whether you are visiting the Russian River to enjoy the redwoods, relax and rejuvenate, sightsee, wine taste, golf, or play at the Russian River, Fairway Woods is an excellent choice in accommodation. The indoor living space at Fairway Woods is located on the upper level. Upon entering the through the front door, guests immediately find themselves in the main living area. To the right is the gourmet kitchen (a cook’s delight), complete... with a gas range, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, refrigerator with a water and ice dispenser and complete sets of pots, pans, dishes, flatware and kitchen equipment. The counter bar with 3 stools makes it fun to hang out with the cook or help with prep work. Immediately before the kitchen is a small dining area that can accommodate 4 people. Directly ahead of the front door is the living room with large sofas and a flat screen TV with 180 cable channels, HBO and a DVD Player. To the left is a door leading to the master bedroom, with an amazingly comfortable queen bed, luxury linens, custom wood cabinets, and French doors leading out to the deck. The blinds on the French doors can be opened from the top down, so guests can lie in bed with privacy and still look out upon the towering redwoods that surround the property. The second bedroom, also with a luxurious queen bed and custom wood cabinets, is located directly off the living room. The bathroom, with a walk-in glass shower and a separate Jacuzzi tub, can be accessed from both the living room and the master bedroom. The outdoor deck provides additional living space. The deck wraps around two sides of the house and can be accessed from both the main entrance and the master bedroom. The upscale outdoor furniture and stainless steel gas barbecue invite guests to sit back, enjoy a glass of wine and gaze at the redwood trees. The entire lower level consists of a 4 car garage and a laundry area. The large lot has plenty of room for parking. 3 For 2 Special extended through May! Mention at the time of booking. Road noise is minimal inside the house, but there is some road noise on the outside side deck. The main deck and the front door are on the far side of the house from the road. The location is both beautiful and convenient! There are no twisty one lane roads to navigate to get to all your favorite wine county locations. In fact, there are great attractions within walking distance. The world renowned Northwood Golf Course is across the street, as is a local coffee shop and the golf course’s restaurant and bar.   We enjoyed this house very much and would definitely come again. The home was beautiful and spotless. The kitchen was well appointed. We enjoyed using the hot tub also which was in marvelous condition.

  We very much enjoyed our experience at the Fairway Woods. The whole place was brand new as well as the furniture and appliances and it was fully equipped in terms of linen and especially dishes and extras for cooking.
  We were 2 couples and one downside was the smaller bedroom where the mattress was strangely very soft, maybe good for children but not so much for adults. Otherwise, the master bedroom was great with it's own access to the beautiful bathroom.
  When we were there, it was too cool to spend time on the balcony event hough we were there at the end of July but it was OK since it was located close to the road.

  So glad you enjoyed your stay at Fairway Woods! What I love about the home is that everything is new - from the kitchen appliances to the tasteful decor. Temps in July average around highs in the mid-80's, and the marine layer cools everything down quite a bit during the evening. Hope you get a chance to return to the River and stay with us again!

  This small home is meticulously remodeled and very well appointed. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is wonderful to work in, and the hot tub refreshing after a round of golf. The one bathroom has a great shower as well as a seperate jacuzzi-style tub. The location, while conveniently close to the golf course, is unfortunately right on the highway that leads to the coast. Consequently, traffic noise is apparent. Also on the negative side, even though the house is expensively a "luxury" rental, the cable service is basic with little selection.

  We had a great time at Fairway Woods. The house was very nice with all the upscale amenities of home. The house was situated in a very relaxing environment surrounded by redwoods. There were many different activities to do: shopping in small towns, walking on the beach, hiking through the redwood forest, or playing golf on a highly rated course. Lots of vineyards nearby for those who like to go on wine tasting adventures. In short, this was the perfect place for a vacation.

  Fairway Woods is a home away from home. Both the indoor and outdoor amenities make you want to stay forever. Start and end your day in the luxurious hot tub with the inspiring redwoods to keep you company. Put on your walking shoes and enjoy nature at its finest as you walk along tshe cliffs of Shell Beach overlooking the ocean or enjoy communing with tshe redwoods in armstromg Woods. Play a round of golf at Northwood Golf Course,the sheer beauty and liveliness of the course inspires you to bring your a game. The small,unique towns nearby offer creative shops, yummy food, and very friendly people. The Russian River Beaches are loaded with activities so you can be as active as you wish. For you wine lovers - the vineyards are breathtaking and wine tasting is at its best. Wine Road has loads of vineyards so make a day out of tasting side trips and don't miss LynnMar and the Hartford Wineries. We were totally impressed with Fairway Woods location, amenities and comfortable living environment and will definitely return - again and again.

  A Modern Home in the heart of the Russian River Valley

  Fairway Woods was the perfect place for our memorial day holiday weekend; nestled in the heart of the Russian River Valley, minutes away from restaurants, the ocean, and some fantastic Sonoma wineries.
  We arrived late Friday evening after a long day of work and travel, and were welcomed into a glowing, modern cabin. The interior was immaculate, with a cozy living room, an eat-in kitchen appointed with stainless steel appliances, a gorgeous bathroom, and just what we needed - a comfortable queen sized bed.
  When we awoke on Saturday morning, we got our first glimpse of the golf course, and the redwoods that gave this property it's name. A brief walk brought fresh cherries from a roadside stand, greetings from some of the nearby golfers, and a much needed cup of coffee (there is a nearby cafe just beside the golf course). It was a great beginning to a day full of sun, fabulous wines (many of which were the Pinot Noir that the region is famous for), and after a big day at the wineries, a dinner grilled on the porch. We finished off the night with some delicious wine that we had bought, and a relaxing soak in the hot tub.
  Sunday was just as brilliant. After a quick coffee, we drove out to the beach, ran along the coast, and had a great breakfast in town. We came to town for the relaxing atmosphere, but found that there were an abundance of activity options, including the beach, rafting, hiking, etc. We elected for more wineries (this time mostly sparkling), and dinner and wine at a nearby friends house.
  Monday, we explored the redwoods with a leisurely hike, found (you guess it) more delicious wine, and reluctantly headed home for a return to work.
  This was our first trip to both Sonoma and the Russian River Valley, and it had everything we could have hoped for: quaint towns, comfortable accommodations, and of course, world-class wine. Suffice it to say, we'll be back at Fairway Woods.

  This is a charming house. The owners have done a great job making it cheerful, comfortable and very clean. Beds are great and the bathroom is really quite luxurious for a rental home. Good location. Short drive to restaurants. In heart of wine country. Totally recommend it.

  Peaceful stay in the Sonoma County redwoods

  We were one of the first guests at Fairway Woods. The owners were very accomodating and have plans for more upgrades & amenities. The home is easy to find and convenient to shopping & restaurants in Guerneville. All appliances & other furnishes are first class. Within 20 minutes are over 100 Sonoma wineries, great restaurants, the Sonoma Coast, Russian River, golfing, & Armstrong Redwoods. Bodega Bay is a 40 minute drive down the coast. We hope to return some day.

  This was hands down the best vacation rental I have experienced. Tucked away in the redwoods yet close to the ocean, wineries, golf. The house is absolutely perfect. Everything is high-end, no skimping on the kitchen or furniture or media, not even on the small details. I will definitely re-book this rental.
