Great Place near the Gran Sasso

Left on 10/06/2012 for a stay in October 2012

This is a B& B. It was initially 2 farm houses which Nadia converted and replaced with one very stylish and modern building two yrs ago. It has all the amenities including modern bathrooms, a place where meals can be served along with a television room.
Nadia has a wealth of information about the surrounding area. Our favorite trip was up the Gran Sasso mountain range and then onto the plateau between. It was spectacular, esp. seeing the wild herd of horses traverse in front of us. We then toured some of the small villages on our way back. We were close to Penned, Chieti and Pescara.

The farm is in a beautiful and peaceful location, has clean and

Left on 03/27/2012 for a stay in November 2011

The farm is located in the hills with a view of Penne on one side (a lovely town as old as Rome), and a view of mountains on the other. There is a small river at the bottom of the hill that feeds into a nearby lake. The proprietor knows the history of the region, and is knowledgeable about the culture, language, food and sites. She speaks many languages well including English, Spanish, German, and French; as well as some Hungarian and arabic.

The farm is relaxing, and the rooms are beautiful. There are rooms for adults, and adjoining rooms for children. The rooms are spotless, the bathrooms are new, and everything works! The electricity is generated by solar panels, and the water (can drink from the tap) is from local wells.

The breakfast is delicious, with most of the food grown and processed locally. Much of what we ate was grown on the farm. There is excellent vegetarian food available - it probably is a good idea to ask in advance. We looked forward to eating there.

There is plenty to see in the area: going up to the Campo Imperatore is breathtaking, and the towns along the way offer a variety of handicrafts and food. Penne is a short drive away, with interesting historical sites. Pescara also is not far (45 minutes), a large city that is located on a popular beach. There are so many picturesque towns driving south along the coast that are an easy day trip from the farm. Going north along the coast also is beautiful and interesting with cities and sites such as ascoli Piceno.

      Absolutely perfect!

Left on 03/12/2012 for a stay in August 2011

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay in this beautiful brand-new vacation farm (agriturismo, as we call it). Nadia and her precious helpmate Susanna accomodated us and made us feel like at home. Beautiful and quiet location, comfortable, well-furnished and large rooms, excellent and natural food... Perfect cleanliness. Nadia and Susanna are simply wonderful. In the surroundings there are many places to visit. We absolutely recommend it!

quiet, scenic, friendly and excellent food

Left on 03/12/2012 for a stay in July 2011

We stayed or two weeks and had a wonderful time. The agriturismo is brand new and comfortable with lots of space, terrasses and flowers. There is also TV and Wifi. The food comes fresh from the garden and is excellent.
The agriturismo is situated at the top of a hill with a wonderfull view on the valleys and mountains around as for example the Gran Sasso and Pescara. The Parco Nazionale is on the doorstep and interesting place to make trips to century old villages. The property is large with thousands of olive trees and a little river down in the valley.Nice for a walk.
We best liked the friendly atmosphere, the scenic views, the flowers and olive trees and of course the wonderfull meals.

This is away from mass tourisme with personal attention.
