This villa is located on a peninsula just 15 min out of Montego Bay, and faces south to a protected bay with easy access to the Caribbean Sea. Staff are wonderful and very attentive. For sailors, it comes with a Hobie Wave Catamaran, 2 sea kayaks and a windsurfer may be available as well. The freshwater pool is fun for a dip, but don't plan to do laps. The cook and butler are first rate and very helpful. Arrival and departure transport is included, food and drink you pay for. The house itself is spectacular, clean, modern, with all modern comforts and beautiful bedrooms and views. In addition to the rave reviews already posted, I'll mention a few additional items. First, the owner, Marcel, was very involved and helpful with quite a number of difficulties we had and is a hidden asset of the rental. We also found our driver, Ray, to be a guide and skillfully navigated us around the island. One of our party said: "Arlene in particular was amazing, working to provide fresh, authentic and local farm truck to Calypso kitchen custom made meals-to-order. And she was very kind to let me tag along to the fish, meat, vegetable, beef pattie, fruit and money exchange markets, selecting produce for the gang and possibly, a husband for my third child…" The huge lanai is a great way to be outdoors without being in the sun. For me, the toys, the sailboat, kayaks, "ladder" game, etc were a real bonus.
We played tennis regularly and there is a modest gym in the development as well.
The community is gated and staffed day and night, but as is the case in most places on planet earth, you shouldn't leave valuables out at night.
