The entry level welcomes you through an architecturally designed porte cochere into a comfortable sitting room which opens to an extensive covered patio leading to the pool and deck. Jamaican owned and operated, renters directly support the island's economy and the staff who become a part of their family. Supplies are sourced from the best local and overseas distributors. We get fresh fish from the local fisherman right on the beach and the early morning market vendor with tree ripened fruits. Three nearby supermarkets stock world re-known brands and a Mega-Mart offers larger quantities of products at discounted rates.
Built with sensitivity to the topography, at Tek Time it was decided to do all necessary to preserve the character of the environment in its gardens and outdoor areas.
The House:
The great house design of the villa preserves the historical framework of the Rose Hall property, one of the most famous in Jamaica's history. The Rose Hall Great House museum is walking distance away. 'T'ek Time' in Jamaican patois means 'take your time, slow down, relax, smell the roses, take it easy'.
It took almost two years to complete this labour of love to the satisfaction of the man who ordered its construction. No expense was spared in making the property a reflection of everything he loves. Landscape:
The tropical landscape design softens the formal lines of the building, enhances its beauty and blends the structure with its surroundings. Sweeping palm trees welcome you up the driveway. Birds of Paradise, Poor Man's Orchid, Heloconia, Sea grape and ivy covered boundary walls bordered with wild ferns and dry windblown rocks give a feeling of being at one with nature. Callaloo, pak choi, bell peppers, hot pepper, herbs, tomatoes,pineapple, bananas and other fruits and vegetables are lovingly tended right there in the garden of the villa by Paul and George.
Dining:
There are several dining options. Indoors or al fresco. The formal dining room, or the secluded patio outside the TV room offer a pleasant seating/ dining area near the pool surrounded by lush foliage. The spacious outdoor room is the most popular dining area of the villa, overlooking the pool, golf course and gardens. The grass roofed gazebo offers a unique experience beside the waterfall and rippling pond adding beauty, charm and interest.
Golf:
Tek Time Villa is one of very few properties that can boast having an 18-hole championship golf course in their back yard. There are three other championship courses within golf cart distance, making this truly a golfers paradise. The villa has its own golf cart and private access to the Cinnamon Hill Golf course. Within 5 minutes are the Half Moon Golf Course and the White Witch course operated by the Ritz Carlton Hotel. All with their unique challenges, you will find it difficult to choose, so you had best decide to play at all four.
The golf courses weave through ancient aqua ducts and ruins of Jamaica's sugar plantation era. Johnny Cash's private home offers players a glimpse through the fairway, as well as some of the most expensive homes in Jamaica. It will be hard to keep your mind on golf in such salubrious surroundings.

Fun and Adventure activities close by include Luminous Lagoon, bamboo rafting on Martha Brae River, horseback riding, Award winning Chukka Adventure tours - Dune Buggy, Jungle River Tubing, Chukka Canopy Tour, ATV, Bicycle, Hiking, Airboat and Jungle Buggy experiences as well as Jamaica's only Dogsled Team. Hilton Hotel's Water Park, the new 'Pirate Boat' ride at Falmouth are only a few minutes away. Within an hour drive is the Winwood Farm Country Tour where you hike through mountainous cockpit country to explore ancient caves, enjoy horseback riding through a rural village before feasting on jerk chicken and pork from the grill. Further afield is Mystic Mountain where the rainforest sky explorer, zip line and Jamaica's unique bob sled experience are all do-able on the same day tour as our Island's signature attraction, Dunn's River Falls. Our family had the absolute pleasure of staying at Tek Time during the 2012/2013 Christmas and New Years’ holidays. Our crew consisted of 2 children (ages 5 & 6) and adults (in their 30’s through 70’s) and we all had a great time. The villa is spectacular and everyone on the staff is most competent, discrete and helpful. When the children weren’t at one of the beaches, they loved playing in the hot tub, pool or the gazebo (which was their playhouse). And guess what? Everything works—including the hot tub, air conditioning, showers, etc! In addition to the staff, (Sindy, Jody, Paul and George), Sunshine Villas arranged for a chef who was on leave from one of the cruise ships to prepare meals for us. He and Jody (who cooks excellent Jamaican dishes) made the food as wonderful as the surroundings. Take a look at the pictures of the villa and imagine yourself at Tek Time. If you go, you will definitely not be disappointed.
Managed to stay here for 4 days and was wishing for more. What a stunning property and excellent staff. Location is perfect with a great relaxing setting. Service was impeccable and teh food excellent- I would recommend typical jamican dishs. Played three different golf course, 72 holes over 4 days. Relax by the pool with a couple of cocktails, sit in the shade and read your book, chill out in the secret deck ...this place is excellent.
