We had a wonderful and relaxing week. The villa was very comfortable and very well appointed. Its location was central to many of the interesting Umbrian and Tuscan sites and hill towns.
It was quiet, peaceful and centrally and conveniently located. The view of the Umbrian countryside was spectacular. The owner was extremely helpful with directions and tips on Perugia (including the best gelato in town). She is also a terrific cook. We recommend engaging her for a few dinners.
Pleasant walks, great views, quiet, close to Perugia and hill towns. -

Very good experience. The owner, Anna, was delightful and very helpful when we arrived. She told us about the area and places to visit. It is a lovely old villa in beautiful surroundings.
Lovely position surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Lovely garden. It was nice having a table on the outside porch but right near the house. Taking the bus to Perugia worked well. -

We loved our stay at Casa Carmelina. The house and gardens were beautiful. The pool was a delight during the hot days. It was very well placed to travel around Umbria.
The tranquility of the location was wonderful. Eating breakfast and looking out over the Umbrian hills was just delightful. It was beautifully kept and Anna the most lovely host.
On hot days, it was difficult to cool the bedrooms down.
Everything! The historic hillside towns nearby from Assisi to Gubbio were all wonderful. We even rode horses through the hills. -

It was exactly as we had hoped. This historic home has been updated, but still has the same feeling it had when it was built.
It was peaceful and serene. Having a fire in the fireplace in the evening was very pleasant and kept the house comfortably warm. The owner was great and was available if we needed anything. For a reasonable fee, she brought us wood, tomatoes and basil from her garden, wine made from her grapes, etc..
Nothing.
It was nice to be in a country setting, yet in 10 minutes we could be in Perugia. The location made it easy for us to drive to Tuscany and to the many historic hill towns in Umbria. -

Our overall experience was fantastic. The owner of the property lives nearby and was the perfect host in welcoming us. She had provided us with valued packet of information on the sites of Umbria and provided us with fresh eggs and tomatoes from her farm. Her English is excellent. The property itself was perfect and accommodated all 8 of us comfortably. I would stay there again.
The character of the this old monks quarters was very charming and the views where spectacular. We ate dinner every night out on the terrace that overlooked the view.
Since we cooked dinner every night at the property we could have used some sharper knives and a few more cutting boards. But the owner did supply us with a knife sharpener which helped. The nearby town did not have the typical green grocer stand, butcher and bakery that you would like when cooking for 8 every night, but there is a small supermarket that had all the essentials. Bigger and far more elaborate supermarket was just 20 minutes away as well.
It is in the perfect location to visit most of the sites in Umbria. We did day trips, both north and south of the property. The views where awesome. -

The property was in excellent condition; it was neat and clean.
The property was in excellent condition. The view was spectacular. The owner could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I especially enjoyed the dinner we went to at her house. Everything we ate came from her farm. The owner's cleaning lady came every day.
There wasn't anything I disliked about the property. I would go back and stay there again
It was mountainous and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. At night, it felt as though you could see every star in the universe. -

The landlord is very helpful and whenever we needed anything she and the property manager responded promptly.
The views, quiet and space. It was beautiful and idyllic with views over the Umbrian hills. Also the house accommodates a group very well. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces where visitors can go to read and just relax, but at the same time it is also very conducive to group gatherings.
The distance from Perugia. It was at least a 15-minute drive, although the website says that it is only 4km away.
So many beautiful and very interesting hill towns are less than an hour dirive away. We became very immersed in Etruscan history. -

The property is idyllic if you want peace and quiet. You will wake up to songbirds and the crow of a rooster and fall asleep to the wind in the trees. Renters should note that electricity is extra and is paid at the end of the rental period. It is more expensive than in the states. Also, there is a washer and dryer which came in handy for a longer stay.
The property was completely secluded, but a close enough drive to all the major hill towns. The views were magnificent. The villa is so well laid out that our party of eight never felt cramped and there are plenty of areas to spend time all together. The pool was wonderful and used every day. The owners really thought of everything a guest might need. Our hostess met us on our first day and was so generous with information and helpful touring hints. She's wonderful!
We loved it all and would all return.
The closeness to Perugia is a ten-minute drive and Assisi, a twenty-minute drive. Gubbio was breathtaking and only an hour drive. Montepulciano and Todi are also about an hour drive. Florence is an easy two hour drive with many places to stop along the way. The location is actually wonderfull for seeing all of Umbria and Tuscany.
