At first we thought we'd made a mistake, but the place really grows on you. It is great for 5 people.
The patio was outstanding. The view from the roof deck was breathtaking.
Our GPS sent us up the shortest route up to the village; the road was closed up the mountain. I inquired as to when the landslide had happened. It was over a year ago. This makes it even more remote.
Access to many areas. Pisa, Florence, Cinque Terre and others. -

As you said, this is a very unique property. Our experience was great! The owner was delightful and most informative and the villagers were very friendly. the village is wonderful, even though it is at the top of a mountain and must be traveled daily by mountain roads.
The relationship with the owner and her insight into the area. The small size of the village and the great restaurants within walking distance.
The clutter and feeling that there was too much personal material in the villa.
The Carrara mines were very close as were Lerici and the Cinque Terre. We thoroughly enjoyed our touring of the area. Everything was relatively close by once we were off the mountain. -

Our stay was fantastic! The house and the village were perfect. The owner was very gracious and helpful. All key pick-up and return went seamlessly.
