CalgaryA great setting for touring!
Left on 11/01/2012 for a stay in October 2010
We stayed at Borgo dei 7 Tigli for 5 days in October of 2010. The facilities were great, well supplied and very comfortable. The proximity to Montepulciano (4 km) was the reason we picked this rental. It was also a good base for touring around the Tuscan countryside. We had a two bedroom unit but did not stay in the "master" bedroom because it did not have screens on the window. Instead we used the smaller bedroom because it did have screens. The onsite "caretaker" helped out with directions and suggestions. We would highly recommend this rental to any and all.

This 'complex' of accomodation in quirky rustic buildings is in a lovely quiet setting 10 mins drive from the centre of Montepulchiano. It is well run and maintained and our apartment was wellequipped (except for coffe mugs!) and very comfortable. The pool is small but adequate and there is a fenced area with a slide and swings.
No shops or restaurants within walking distance but lots in Montepulchiano. -

Wasco, OregonWow!! I want to buy this place!
Left on 06/23/2011 for a stay in May 2011
It was hard to find (no signs on the main road), but once we found it we didn't want to leave! The view is incredible, and there are bee-eater birds (look like stained glass with all their colors) in the vineyards that surround the place.
A woodpecker looking bird (Hoepoe) landed on my windowsill each morning. The place is so modern, comfortable and clean, but the beams on the ceiling say otherwise - 300 years old - used to be a monastery! How cool. The detail everywhere is beautiful.
Olive oil and (really good local Nobile) wine waiting on the table - great kitchen to cook in! We ate on our deck every chance we could.
We couldn't use the pool because it was still chilly and we had places to be, but oh, I wish we could have stayed another 2 weeks+. The lady who manages the place is as friendly and helpful as can be - she kept apologizing about the language barrier, but she really spoke very good English - I just wish I knew more Italian.
I would stay here again for sure - just perfect. So much to see and do nearby.
Montepulciano is close (3 miles?) and wonderful - except for the police who are ready to ticket you for any offense - we got a $60 parking ticket while in the tourist office asking for directions!! Only white spaces are free - blue are pay!! And do not drive into the little towns even if everyone else is - takes a special permit and the fine is over $100!!!
If you don't want to drive, I'm wondering if you could take a bus to Montepulciano, pay to be dropped off at the farmhouse, and ride the bikes you can rent? Something to think about... -
