Il Girasole is a fourth-floor apartment in Monterosso (no elevator available) in a modern condo in Fegina, the newer part of Monterosso village, closest to beaches.
The apartment is very spacious with 1 kitchen, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedrooms with 2 singles, 1 large sitting room opening on a big balcony, equipped with tent, that runs all around the apartment, one bathroom with shower and half tub. Bathroom is not updated, but clean and functional. A double sofa bed in the sitting room.

This apartment is very comfortable and quite spacious. Terrace is great wraps around the whole apartment and has a lovely view. The two bedrooms have doors to terrace which is great as well as the living area. Downside is the 88 steps up to it but the view is worth the climb. Noise of trains did not bother us at all. No air conditioning which would put me off it a bit but in fairness the agent brought us three fans which helped a lot. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay beside a lovely neighbour also who loaned me her iron as there was none in the apartment even though there was an ironing board! It is two mins walk from the lovely beach of Monterosso which have public and private sections and about 10 mins from the old town. We had three adult children with us. There are two supermarkets in the immediate vicinity but they are quite small and somewhat pricey. If staying for an extended period would be worth taking the train to La Spezia which we did to do some grocery shopping. Hope this helps!

We loved this location! It was central to everything we wanted to do. The staff was very accomodating, the apartment had nice furnishings, and the view from the balacony was good.
The only two downsides I noticed were the train and stairs. The train track isn't far away so there is obviously some noise. And there are four or five flights up stairs to your apartment. With two young kids and stroller this was a bit challenging at times so I might suggest a lock for strollers and bikes to secure them at the bottom of the apartment somewhere. Or even put them in your car. However, they made it clear about these two issues upfront and it was still worth every penny in my opinion! -

Philipo was fantastic...we had difficulties with trains and arrived quite late. He was laid back, very helpful and definitely easy to deal with. We loved the property!. Two bedrooms, large pullout couch in living room. Kitchen was perfect for our needs. We cooked for six people and had more than enough utensils and serving ware. The deck was absolutely fantastic to sit in the morning with a cup of coffee/tea and in the evenings. Easy walk down to the little market for food. Simple decor, clean and very functional. We would stay there again. We all loved this place the best of all the places we stayed at. The trains were the only negative. slightly noisy in the morning, but did not disturb any of us.

This apartment has an outstanding terrace along two sides. An efficient kitchen and simple furniture are all you need for a wonderful stay. You do have to climb up 4 stories but the view is to die for of the Mediterranean. It is very close the the train tracks so you will hear the trains as they go by. Not too many during the night, but lots during the day when you are probably out hiking the trails and sightseeing. They gave us good hints on where to get grocieries and good restaurants. Had a truly wonderful stay.

The apartment is spacious with a huge terrace that has beautiful ocean views. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and functional and could accomodate our 5 person family. The two bedrooms offer lots of privacy although the trundle bed in the smaller bedroom had a very worn mattress. The pullout bed in the living room was new and comfortable too. We had a minor issue picking up and returning keys (when and where, etc). But overall it was a wonderful apartment in an excellent location - quiet but close (walking distance) to everything.

We thoroughly our stay in Il Girasole. This apartment is in a great location very convenient to the beach and other amenities. And the view from the terrace was amazing! The only drawback was carrying our luggage up five flights of stairs, but we would do it again.

The location is fantastic. Penthouse with a wraparound covered porch. Sit outside and view the ocean and mountains. Modern and clean. Well decorated home. I highly recommend it!
