It was very good. The place is very serene and peaceful. Anyone looking for some quality R&R should check themselves in here and stay for a long time.
The overall vibe is phenomenal. It is very well kept and it is in a great remote location. The pool is very nice and the staff is very polite and very attentive.
Like the property it was picture-perfect - serene and peaceful. -

Comfortable and pleasant.
The pool was excellent. The air conditioning in the rooms worked very well. The property was large which allowed for early morning jogs. Went to a nice wine tasting right on the property.
Had a chef cook dinner one night. It was delicious!
The dishwasher hardly worked. There were no washcloths.
It could have been a bit cleaner upon arrival.
It was easy access to a supermarket and the highway. -

The property was better than we expected. We were very pleased with it. There were 3 other families in the surrounding apartments, however when you were in your personal outdoor space, it was extremely private. The pool was perfect, and being on the top of a mountain made the 90 degree heat quite pleasant.
The apartment was super easy to keep clean! It was very low maintenance in that respect. Also, the air conditioning worked very well.
The beds were not so great...although when I made mention of this at the front desk, they had a fluffy mattress pad delivered the same day...which really helped. Additionally, the dishwasher didn't wash so well...One last item was the TV...there were only 3 English speaking channels. Watching TV at night was not an option.
The area was perfect...30 minutes to Livorno, 30 minutes to Pisa, and about 45 minutes to Florence. Day trips were super easy! -

The pool was beautiful and very well keep.
The view and the spacious villa.
The showers where very small. They had everything you needed except for pool towels and they didn't want you to take regular bath towels to the pool. We did not know this so we didn't bring any pool towels.
It was beautiful and the tree lined street and wilderness you had to drive through to get to the villa was wonderful. -

It was our first experience on our own so I have nothing to compare it to. There were 5 friends, middle-aged women, driving in Italy and we had a ball!! Living in that villa was a dream come true for all of us. We also loved our stay in Riomaggiore at the Hotel Argentina. It was located at the top of the village, beautiful view but the walk up to it is not for the faint!
So much that we loved, the views, the tree-lined drive, beautiful roses at the entrance way. Of course the villa.
Can't think of anything I didn't like.
The small towns and the people!! -

The location was convenient, easily accessible from the highway and an easy drive to nearby cities, including Florence, Pisa, Lucca. Other parts of Tuscany to the South are a much longer drive, but still a reasonable distance for day trips.
The property would be a perfect ten with the addition of a few other amenities such as a Jacuzzi, a fitness area, and even a spa.
An excellent supermarket in Pontedera was a tremendous resource for food as well as other non-food items. -

New, lovely interior on a beautiful piece of property (winery).
The peacefulness, the view of valley from pool, and the tour of the winery.
No laundry directly on site (have to drive 1/4 of mile and laundry machine takes hours, though free!). Also the directions to the property were difficult.
There were many restaurants in the small towns nearby.
