We have stayed in our fair share of home rentals and were very pleased with Maison aux Pignons. Our host was very thorough in describing the property and assisting us with our questions upon arrival. The home is neat and clean, with a lovely bonsai garden in back, perfect for relaxing. It is close to the Metro station, so it is easy to get to attractions in the city, but far enough away that you get some peace from all the craziness in town. It is approximately 10-15 minutes from Pierre Trudeau airport, which made getting to and from the airport very easy. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Our stay was wonderful, very clean, well decorated and very comfortable. The outside yard was a beauty in its self, lots of sitting and beautiful gardens. Our hosts Guy & Lucie were also excellent. The metro to go anywhere in the city was about 5 minutes walk away. We had 2 apartments as there was 6 persons, we couldn't believe we found such a beauty.

We have just returned home to australia after spending nearly a month at Maison aux pignons. If you are looking for a home away from home this is the perfect place. Close to shops and the Metro - within a few minutes walk. Lucie and Guy were the perfect hosts providing everything you might need for your stay and more. Lucie even did some shopping so we had some food in the house as we were arriving on New Year's day and the shops were closed. The tiniest detail has been thought of.Guy picked us up at the airport on arrival and took us again for our departure
The home is spotless and a pleasure to stay in, I just can't speak highly enough of this place, after staying in other places which have not always lived up to the reviews or expections. We hope to return one day. Thanks Lucie and Guy, hope to see you again. -

The home was very comfortable, very attractivly decorated and had all the amenities you needed. As a single women I felt very safe and loved the attention to detail the owners gave me. They made my stay completely relaxed and enjoyalbe. I would go back in a heart beat. Thank you Lucie and Guy I hope to see you soon.

We have stayed many times and most recently with out three children. With laundry a fully equiped kitchen and baby and child seats our visits are always easy. Thank you so much Lucie and Guy for making all our stays memorable. our 3 and 5 year old wanted to "go back to the hotel"

I found Maison aux Pignons (MaP) by chance when looking for a place near downtown Montreal. Inquiries to owners were dealt with promptly, with Lucy and Guy, the owners, taking the time to answer all my questions.
I stayed there for about one week and I must say the MaP is by far great value for your money. The apartment I stayed in had all the top of the line appliances you could think of. The beds, bathroom, living-room and kitchen are very nicely decorated, with quality furnishings. I highly recommend MaP. -

This spot had everything we needed to be comfortable: comfy bed, fridge, stove, fridge, television (though not important), parking and even WiFi and free long distance calling! The backyard was like a sanctuary. We rented the studio apartment which is very much like a bachelor apartment. The upstairs (which my friend rented) is two-level and is like staying in a home away from home. The owners are friendly and were there to greet us and make us feel welcome. (No pets or parties!) Great value and highly recommended.

This was a fantastic place to stay. We booked the house for a competition my husband and his friend were participating in located in Laval, Quebec. The house was extremely clean, comfortable and had everything they needed to feel right at home. It was within walking distance to a grocery store and a short drive from restaurants, Tim Hortons, etc. The trip to Laval was also a short one which made the location excellent. The house and its owners went above and beyond our expectations for a very reasonable price! Thank you!

La Maison aux Pignons is an incredibly spotless clean, very comfortable, fully equipped house with garden. I think we couldn't find a better accommodation in Montreal! Very close to metro station, grocery and supermarket at walking distance, in a quiet and safe neighbourhood, we enjoyed every single minute of our 10 days vacation. Our teenage sons particularly appreciated the wifi connection, tv, and the complete comfort and freedom if compared to an hotel room. We appreciated the incredible attention to details, no hidden costs, plenty of clean towels, detergents, kitchen utensils, air-conditioning and the extreme kindness of the hosts: Mr. Guy came up at the airport despite our late evening arrival and even took us back on the day of departure and he was always available for explanations and advice. Who could ask for more! Hope we can go back to Montreal some time, and stay at Maison aux Pignons again.

After doing much checking for accommodations for a family of four and not wanting to be in a hotel for lack of comfort, our family stayed at Maison aux pignons. One look at their website pictures of the property, I knew this was the place for us. It totally gave us comfort, privacy, and is very close to the Metro. This place is awesome and I would highly recommend it anyone. Guy and Lucie are the best hosts ever!

I stayed here with my 3 twenty something children in early June 2011, and loved it. The metro is close by so easy access to downtown Montreal. The accommodation is very comfortable with a kitchen with everything you could want in it. The Bonsai garden is fantastic for sitting out in with a few beers after a long day of touring Montreal - a beautiful city.

The value is excellent. Lucie & Guy were very accomodating. The attention to detail is obvious. This is the place to stay if you want privacy. The house is fully furnished-everything you ever needed-and spotless clean. Very close to amenities and metro. Only thing is if you are a very light sleeper there is railroad tracks nearby, hence the 4 stars for location/comfort, otherwise it is perfect. We even had the opportunity to use the complete BBQ grill in the back yard. We have no hesitation whatsoever in coming back again, and hope we can.

Because prices of B & B's downtown seemed high, I decided to investigate the outskirts of Montreal. And I seem to have struck gold. My stay at Maison aux pignons was very pleasant. It was convenient to the Subway line and also a close walk to many shops and restaurants. It was spotlessly clean, and Lucie and Guy are most gracious hosts - Guy checked in a couple times to make sure things were OK. For the price of a single room downtown, I had a large 2 bedroom townhouse with a full kitchen, living room, dining area, bathroom, stereo, TV, wireless internet and full laundry facilities. Add to that a lovely, private, fenced in, tranquil backyard, full of bonsai trees, and free off street parking, and I can't think of anything more I'd need. The only drawback was that it's close to the railroad tracks and trains rumble through from time to time. Still, that's a minor inconvenience, and I had a wonderful week there and I hope to return soon. Thanks again, Lucie and Guy.

Notre séjour de presque trois mois à la Maison aux pignons a été un véritable havre de paix dans une période mouvementée. Les enfants ont apprécié le BBQ et la terrasse. After the long drive from South Carolina and a quick stop in New Jersey, we arrived in Montreal. We were received by the owner making us feel at home. They showed us all the amenities of the house, including the full kitchen, the outdoor BBQ and the sleeping quarters. The living area was well in order and very clean. On the second day we were guided to all the attractions in town and out of town, too many places to describe. We would recommend anyone to stay at La Maison aux Pignons, you will never want to stay in a typical hotel again.

Left on 12/02/2010 for a stay in December 2009
The house was kept immaculately clean, much cleaner than a hotel and I am quite fussy when it comes to clean. Guy was friendly and helpful and kept the walk and driveway shovelled even though it was a bitterly cold weekend. We were especially surprised by the attention given to amenities and appointments; there were a variety of pots, pans and dishes. So much so, that we were comfortably able cook and even entertain guests. It is even close to a Metro so no need to go through the hassle of driving and parking. We strong recommend staying here and certainly will whenever we find ourselves in Montreal.
