      Luxurious & Serene

Left on 04/09/2013 for a stay in April 2013

I recently stayed for just a couple of brief nights at this delightfully restored Queenslander. It was the perfect place to take in the beauty and serenity of the Mountain at Montville. Only a few minutes away from the Village. The property is perfectly located with majestic and breathtaking views over the Baroon Pocket Dam with lovely gardens surrounding the home also. Just about every window in the lovely home had postcard views. The home had some beautiful patio and deck areas which made it very easy if you wanted to slip away for some privacy and enjoy the surrounds in total peace and quiet or otherwise the large deck on the upper level lent itself to a nice group gathering.

The home has been meticulously restored with some very modern yet authentic touches to give this older styled Queenslander Home a very special feel. The best fittings are used throughout the home inside and out including the beautifully fitted out bathrooms with rain shower heads and free standing bath tubs and touch button lights, plush towels and exceptional top quality Sheridan Bed Linen. Complimentary freshly ground coffee, bread and milk are supplied for you to enjoy if you so desired, making use of the very flashy built in espresso appliance.

The Owner/Managers live on site and greet you upon arrival and then leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace in this beautifully restored vacation home but they are only a phone call away if you have any enquiries or need help with anything. We found we had plenty of privacy to enjoy on this 3 acre property. Once you drive through the big iron gates at the entrance and meander down to the house, you enter another world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Thankyou for having us. We will definitely return.

Great for big families, several couples

Left on 01/02/2013 for a stay in December 2012

      Good points
      1. Big, enough room for 10 and room for kids to run around.
      2. Great view down to lake Baroon / sunset
      3. Close to Montville shopping (if that's your cup of tea).
      4. Discrete but attentive resident manager in a separate cottage on the property.
      5. Big kitchen for self catering.
      Bad points
None that I can think of.
      Trivial grumbles
      1. Hard to regulate water in showers - not an issue in summer but would be a pest in winter trying to get a warm shower.
      2. Would benefit from screening to allow windows to be open in the evening without bug invasion.
      3. Access to the double garage would have helped us load / unload three families' worth of gear out of the elements.
      4. Odd bed that was higher in the middle than the sides so I had to chock myself up with a pillow.

      Perfect Pre-Wedding accommodation!

Left on 11/23/2012 for a stay in November 2012

I stayed at the lovely Lake Terrace with the girls for a few nights on the lead-up to my wedding. Everything about this property was absolutely stunning. It's spacious, very tastefully decorated, has luxury towels and bedding, endless views of Lake Baroon and the gorgeous countryside... it was just wonderful in every way! We could not have asked for more perfect accommodation on the lead up to our Maleny wedding. I would definitely recommend this property to wedding parties, families, couples, groups of friends... anyone really! We hope to return in the very near future! Thank you so much Neil and Heidi!!!

      Heaven on the hill

Left on 05/10/2012 for a stay in May 2012

I celebrated a special birthday (we won't mention which one!) with friends at Montville Lake Terraces and I could not have wished for a better venue or nicer hosts than Neil and Heidi. The house is perfection itself and the views are to die for. It is certainly a beautiful part of the world and the house is exactly what I was looking for to spend quality time with my friends. Photos do not do it justice, you have to see for yourself! It is a very special place with warm and obliging hosts - thank you for sharing your home with us!

Left on 04/29/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Great service from Neil for our booking by email, meeting us at property on arrival and departure. The house is amazing and we only wish we were able to stay longer than two nights to enjoy it some more. Close to Montville for shops and only a 10 min drive to Maleny. Beautiful view over the lake and neighbouring paddocks with horses grazing. Would definitely stay again if returning to the area. Thanks Neil.

What a fantastic property which can sleep up to ten people, very private with fantastic views. House is fitted out with every possible appliance, superb furniture and decor, even a TV/Media room. Couldn't fault it.
Just the place for that special family get together, special occasion, or a few days stay.
Montville town is picturesque and definitely worth a look around.
Didn't want to leave, and would love to come back.

      You will want for nothing

Left on 04/15/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Our extended family of ten (aged between 3 and 61) stayed here over an Easter long weekend and we all loved it. I cannot think of a single criticism.

It is a beautiful house, perfectly located. It has four bedrooms (five if you include a good sized media room) that can be used as two separate zones (two bedrooms and two of the four bathrooms are upstairs). It has old Queenslander charm but has been perfectly renovated to include every possible modern convenience. There is lots of flat and controllable outside space for kids to play in, but the verandahs at the back of the house overlook a long gentle slope down toward trees and a magnificent lake view. The house and the beautiful gardens are immaculately maintained by owners who obviously love the place.

The house is peaceful and relaxing but within easy walking distance from town and easy driving distance from everything the hinterland and coast has to offer.

Yes - it's as good as it looks!

Left on 04/04/2012 for a stay in March 2012

The house is just beautifully furnished, there is nothing "hotel-like/sterile" about it, it is just like stepping into the pages of a home magazine. The home decorating is impressive and inspiring - I think a mixture of Hamptons and French Provincial with a tasteful "bird" theme throughout. The very dark highly polished floorboards were admired by the girls, and I loved the rocking chair.
There are 4 bedrooms (2 with ensuites) and 4 bathrooms - more than enough space for our 2 couples + one. There are beds for 4 couples, with a single bed in one of the bedrooms (& I think two fold out beds are stowed away).
Some of the luxuries include, chandeliers in the bedrooms and very comfortable beds, a media room, great coffee machine in the kitchen, laundry, study, ducted airconditioning upstairs (air conditioning systems downstairs), ipod dock, view straight out over the lake and to the sunset, views to the left of the mountains, views to the right of horses in the paddock, beautiful natural setting with birdlife and also saw a wallaby.
We made the most of maximising our time in our beautiful surroundings - we cooked spaghetti bolognaise in the kitchen the first night, bacon & eggs in the morning and the 2nd night we enjoyed a BBQ followed by a DVD in the media room.
Would love to have stayed a week, and would definitely stay again for a special occasion, sharing the cost with friends. Stay. Bring your friends, camera, wine and your ipod and you will feel like a king.

      Peaceful, elegant,

Left on 11/20/2011 for a stay in November 2011

We want to thank our host, Neil again for our stay at Montville Lake Terrace.
Our extended family spent a delightful weekend here to celebrate a special birthday. The spectacular uninterrupted views down to the lake could be enjoyed from almost every room and if there wasn't a view to the lake you could see the beautiful garden, where there was room for the children to play, run and climb trees.
It was tranquil and private, yet only minutes drive away from Montville village.
The kitchen had everything we could need with extra touches to make it special. The bedrooms and bathrooms were luxurious. There were 9 in our party, yet no trouble at all feeling there was plenty of space and privacy for us all.
The media room and internet access both came in handy.
We couldn't recommend it highly enough for an indulgent stay away.

      Amazing!

Left on 11/16/2011 for a stay in November 2011

It's not often that accommodation exceeds your expectations created by website photographs and descriptions, but when I walked through the door of Montville Lake Terrace, it took my breath away. Combining the ultimate in position and quality accommodation, Lake Terrace is a newly opened homestead taking Montville accommodation to new levels. Accustomed to one of the best local cabin accommodation options, Lake Terrace instead provided us with a huge two levels of secluded quality homestead tucked away in our own private manicured grounds. Our biggest decision was choosing where on the many beautiful decks and patios overlooking the lake we would enjoy our home made latte or savour our glass of complimentary red! Beautifully restored and tastefully decorated, we felt privileged to stay there! As the owner/operator, Neil was a pleasure to deal with - welcoming, professional, helpful and accommodating. Competitively priced - especially for 6 people - my only reservation is that once the word is out, I'll need to get in early for my next booking!

Stunning location, absolutely amazing place to stay

Left on 10/18/2011 for a stay in October 2011

We recently stayed at Montville Lake Terrace for a family get together. My husband and I travelled from the UK and stayed in the property for a few days prior to the rest of the family arriving and wow what a place to get over our jetlag! The view of the lake actually left me speechless. The house was beautiful in every way and the grounds immaculate. Everything we needed to know during our stay was detailed in a comprehensive welcome book which I thought was brilliant. The property is about 2km to Montville and it was a pleasant walk in, although you will need a car to travel anywhere else. There were 8 of us in total staying over 4 nights.
